What it means

rahav (רַהַב) is a Hebrew word of the Bible that means “Rahab, arrogance”.

Rahab: it means "the proud one," "the one who storms." In biblical poetry it is the name of a sea monster, a figure of the forces God overcame (Job 9:13; 26:12; Psalm 89:10; Isaiah 51:9); it is also a poetic name for Egypt (Psalm 87:4; Isaiah 30:7). It is not the woman of Jericho, whose name is spelled differently in Hebrew.
