2 Chronicles 12:13-16

13King Rehoboam strengthened himself in Jerusalem and reigned. Rehoboam was forty and one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city that YHWH chose out of all the tribes of Israel to put his name there. And his mother’s name was Naamah the Ammonite. 14He did what was evil, for he did not set his heart to seek YHWH. 15The deeds of Rehoboam, the first and the last, are they not written in the words of Shemaiah the prophet and of Iddo the seer, according to the genealogical record? And there were wars between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all the days. 16Rehoboam lay down with his fathers and was buried in the city of David; and Abijah his son reigned in his place.

1 Kings 14:21-31

21Now Rehoboam son of Solomon reigned in Judah. Rehoboam was forty and one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city that YHWH chose out of all the tribes of Israel to put his name there. And his mother’s name was Naamah the Ammonite. 22Judah did what was evil in the eyes of YHWH, and they provoked him to jealousy more than all that their fathers had done, with their sins that they sinned. 23They also built for themselves high places and standing stones and Asherahs on every high hill and under every leafy tree. 24And there were also sacred prostitutes in the land; they did according to all the abominations of the nations that YHWH had dispossessed from before the sons of Israel. 25And it happened in the fifth year of King Rehoboam that Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem. 26He took the treasures of the house of YHWH and the treasures of the house of the king; and everything he took. He also took all the shields of gold that Solomon had made. 27King Rehoboam made in their place bronze shields, and entrusted them to the hand of the commanders of the runners who guarded the doorway of the king’s house. 28And it happened, as often as the king went into the house of YHWH, that the runners carried them, and brought them back to the guardroom of the runners. 29The rest of the deeds of Rehoboam, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? 30And there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all the days. 31Rehoboam lay down with his fathers and was buried with his fathers in the city of David. And his mother’s name was Naamah the Ammonite. And Abijam his son reigned in his place.
