He beganוַיָּחֶלto buildלִבְנוֹתin the secondבַּ הַשֵּׁנִיmonth,חֹדֶשׁon the second day,בַּשֵּׁנִיin the fourthבִּ אַרְבַּעyearשְׁנַתof his reign.לְמַלְכוּתוֹ
These are the measures with whichוְאֵלֶּהSolomonשְׁלֹמֹהlaid the foundationsהוּסַדfor buildingלִבְנוֹתthe houseבֵּיתof Elohim:הָאֱלֹהִיםthe length,הָאֹרֶךְin cubitsאַמּוֹתof the oldבַּ הָרִאשׁוֹנָהmeasure,מִּדָּהwas sixtyשִׁשִּׁיםcubits,אַמּוֹתand the widthוְרֹחַבtwentyעֶשְׂרִיםcubits.אַמּוֹת
The porticoוְהָאוּלָםthat wasאֲשֶׁרat the front,עַל פְּנֵיalong the length,הָאֹרֶךְacrossעַל פְּנֵיthe widthרֹחַבof the house,הַבַּיִתwas twentyעֶשְׂרִיםcubits,אַמּוֹתand the heightוְהַגֹּבַהּa hundredמֵאָהand twenty;וְעֶשְׂרִיםand he overlaid itוַיְצַפֵּהוּinsideמִפְּנִימָהwith pureטָהוֹרgold.זָהָב

He coveredוַיְחַףthe houseהַבַּיִת—the beams,הַקֹּרוֹתthe thresholds,הַסִּפִּיםits wallsוְקִירוֹתָיוand its doors—וְדַלְתוֹתָיוwith gold,זָהָבand he engravedוּפִתַּחcherubimכְּרוּבִיםonעַלthe walls.הַקִּירוֹת
He madeוַיַּעַשׂthe houseבֵּיתof the Most Holy Place:קֹדֶשׁ הַקֳּדָשִׁיםits length,אָרְכּוֹacrossעַל פְּנֵיthe widthרֹחַבof the house,הַבַּיִתwas twentyעֶשְׂרִיםcubits,אַמּוֹתand its widthוְרָחְבּוֹtwentyעֶשְׂרִיםcubits;אַמּוֹתand he covered itוַיְחַפֵּהוּwith goodטוֹבgold,זָהָבamounting to sixלְ שֵׁשׁhundredמֵאוֹתtalents.כִכָּרִים

And the wingוּכְנַףof the oneהָאֶחָדcherub,הַכְּרוּבof fiveחָמֵשׁcubits,אַמּוֹתtouchedמַגִּיעַthe wallלְקִירof the house;הַבָּיִתand the otherוְהַ הָאַחֶרֶתwing,כָּנָףof fiveחָמֵשׁcubits,אַמּוֹתwas joinedדְּבֵקָהto the wingלִכְנַףof the otherהָאַחֵרcherub.הַכְּרוּב
The wingsכַּנְפֵיof theseהָאֵלֶּהcherubimהַכְּרוּבִיםspread outפֹּרְשִׂיםtwentyעֶשְׂרִיםcubits;אַמּוֹתand theyוְהֵםstoodעֹמְדִיםonעַלtheir feet,רַגְלֵיהֶםwith their facesוּפְנֵיהֶםtoward the house.לַבָּיִת

In front ofלִפְנֵיthe houseהַבַּיִתhe madeוַיַּעַשׂtwoשְׁנַיִםpillarsעַמּוּדִיםthirtyשְׁלֹשִׁיםand fiveוְחָמֵשׁcubitsאַמּוֹתlong,אֹרֶךְand the capitalוְהַצֶּפֶתthat wasאֲשֶׁרonעַלits topרֹאשׁוֹwas fiveחָמֵשׁcubits.אַמּוֹת
He madeוַיַּעַשׂchainsשַׁרְשְׁרוֹתin the inner sanctuaryבַּדְּבִירand put themוַיִּתֵּןonעַלthe topרֹאשׁof the pillars;הָעַמֻּדִיםand he madeוַיַּעַשׂa hundredמֵאָהpomegranatesרִמּוֹנִיםand put themוַיִּתֵּןon the chains.בַּשַּׁרְשְׁרוֹת
