1 Corinthians 1:10–13
Paul rebukes the divisions: is the Messiah divided?
Study it word by word10Now I urge you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus the Messiah, that all of you say the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in the same mind and in the same judgment.
11For it has been made clear to me about you, my brothers, by those of Chloe that there are quarrels among you.
12What I mean is this: each of you says, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of the Messiah.
13Has the Messiah been divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you immersed into the name of Paul?
In its context
8who will also confirm you to the end, blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus the Messiah.
9God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with his Son Jesus the Messiah, our Lord.
…
14I thank God that I immersed none of you except Crispus and Gaius,
15so that no one may say that you were immersed into my name.
