graceχάριςto youὑμῖνandκαὶpeaceεἰρήνηfromἀπὸGodθεοῦour Fatherπατρὸς ἡμῶνandκαὶthe LordκυρίουJesusἸησοῦthe Messiah.Χριστοῦ

I thankΕὐχαριστῶmy Godτῷ θεῷ μουalwaysπάντοτεconcerningπερὶyouὑμῶνforἐπὶthe graceτῇ χάριτιof Godτοῦ θεοῦthat was givenτῇ δοθείσῃto youὑμῖνinἐνthe MessiahΧριστῷJesus,Ἰησοῦ

becauseὅτιinἐνeverythingπαντὶyou were enrichedἐπλουτίσθητεinἐνhim,αὐτῷinἐνeveryπαντὶwordλόγῳandκαὶallπάσῃknowledge,γνώσει

just asκαθὼςthe testimonyτὸ μαρτύριονof the Messiahτοῦ Χριστοῦwas confirmedἐβεβαιώθηamongἐνyou,ὑμῖν

so thatὥστεyouὑμᾶςdo notμὴlackὑστερεῖσθαιinἐνanyμηδενὶgift,χαρίσματιas you wait forἀπεκδεχομένουςthe revelationτὴν ἀποκάλυψινof ourἡμῶνLordτοῦ κυρίουJesusἸησοῦthe Messiah;Χριστοῦ

whoὃςwill alsoκαὶconfirmβεβαιώσειyouὑμᾶςtoἕωςthe end,τέλουςblamelessἀνεγκλήτουςonἐνthe dayτῇ ἡμέρᾳof ourἡμῶνLordτοῦ κυρίουJesusἸησοῦthe Messiah.Χριστοῦ

Godὁ θεὸςis faithful,πιστὸςthroughδι’whomοὗyou were calledἐκλήθητεintoεἰςfellowshipκοινωνίανwith hisτοῦ αὐτοῦSonυἱοῦJesusἸησοῦthe Messiah,ΧριστοῦourἡμῶνLord.τοῦ κυρίου

NowδὲI urgeΠαρακαλῶyou,ὑμᾶςbrothers,ἀδελφοίbyδιὰthe nameτοῦ ὀνόματοςof ourἡμῶνLordτοῦ κυρίουJesusἸησοῦthe Messiah,Χριστοῦthatἵναall of youπάντεςsayλέγητεthe same thing,τὸ αὐτὸandκαὶthat there beᾖnoμὴdivisionsσχίσματαamongἐνyou,ὑμῖνbutδὲthat you beἦτεperfectly unitedκατηρτισμένοιinἐνthe sameτῷ αὐτῷmindνοῒandκαὶinἐνthe sameτῇ αὐτῇjudgment.γνώμῃ

WhatτοῦτοI meanλέγωis this:δὲeachἕκαστοςof youὑμῶνsays,λέγειIἘγὼamεἰμιof Paul;ΠαύλουandδὲIἘγὼof Apollos;ἈπολλῶandδὲIἘγὼof Cephas;ΚηφᾶandδὲIἘγὼof the Messiah.Χριστοῦ

Has the Messiahὁ Χριστόςbeen divided?μεμέρισταιWasμὴPaulΠαῦλοςcrucifiedἐσταυρώθηforὑπὲρyou?ὑμῶνOrἢwere you immersedἐβαπτίσθητεintoεἰςthe nameτὸ ὄνομαof Paul?Παύλου

I thank GodεὐχαριστῶthatὅτιI immersedἐβάπτισαnoneοὐδέναof youὑμῶνexceptεἰ μὴCrispusΚρίσπονandκαὶGaius,Γάϊον

so thatἵναnoμήoneτιςmay sayεἴπῃthatὅτιyou were immersedἐβαπτίσθητεintoεἰςmyἐμὸνname.τὸ ὄνομα

I alsoδὲ καὶimmersedἐβάπτισαthe householdτὸν οἶκονof Stephanas;Στεφανᾶbeyond that,λοιπὸνI do notοὐκknowοἶδαwhetherεἴI immersedἐβάπτισαanyoneτιναelse.ἄλλον

Forγὰρthe MessiahΧριστὸςdid notοὐsendἀπέστειλένmeμεto immerseβαπτίζεινbutἀλλὰto proclaim the good news,εὐαγγελίζεσθαιnotοὐκwithἐνwisdomσοφίᾳof word,λόγουso thatἵναthe crossὁ σταυρὸςof the Messiahτοῦ Χριστοῦmay notμὴbe emptied.κενωθῇ

Forγὰρthe wordὉ λόγοςof the crossὁ τοῦ σταυροῦisἐστίνfoolishnessμωρίαto thoseτοῖςwho are perishing,ἀπολλυμένοιςbutδὲto thoseτοῖςwho are being saved,σῳζομένοιςto us,ἡμῖνit isἐστινthe powerδύναμιςof God.θεοῦ

Forγάρit is written:γέγραπταιI will destroyἈπολῶthe wisdomτὴν σοφίανof the wise,τῶν σοφῶνandκαὶthe understandingτὴν σύνεσινof the discerningτῶν συνετῶνI will set aside.ἀθετήσω1

Whereποῦisthe wise one?σοφόςWhereποῦisthe scribe?γραμματεύςWhereποῦisthe debaterσυζητητὴςof thisτοῦ τούτουage?αἰῶνοςHas Godὁ θεὸςnotοὐχὶmade foolishἐμώρανενthe wisdomτὴν σοφίανof the world?τοῦ κόσμου

Forγὰρsince,ἐπειδὴinἐνthe wisdomτῇ σοφίᾳof God,τοῦ θεοῦthe worldὁ κόσμοςdid notοὐκknowἔγνωGodτὸν θεόνthroughδιὰwisdom,τῆς σοφίαςGodὁ θεὸςwas pleasedεὐδόκησενthroughδιὰthe foolishnessτῆς μωρίαςof the proclamationτοῦ κηρύγματοςto saveσῶσαιthose whoτοὺςbelieve.πιστεύοντας

ForἐπειδὴJewsἸουδαῖοιask forαἰτοῦσινsignsσημεῖαandκαὶGreeksἝλληνεςseekζητοῦσινwisdom,σοφίαν

butδὲweἡμεῖςproclaimκηρύσσομενthe MessiahΧριστὸνcrucified,ἐσταυρωμένονto JewsἸουδαίοιςa stumbling blockσκάνδαλονandδὲto the nationsἔθνεσινfoolishness,μωρίαν

butδὲto thoseαὐτοῖς τοῖςwho are called,κλητοῖςbothτεJewsἸουδαίοιςandκαὶGreeks,Ἕλλησινthe MessiahΧριστὸνisthe powerδύναμινof Godθεοῦandκαὶthe wisdomσοφίανof God.θεοῦ

Forὅτιthe foolishnessτὸ μωρὸνof Godτοῦ θεοῦisἐστίνwiser thanσοφώτερονmen,τῶν ἀνθρώπωνandκαὶthe weaknessτὸ ἀσθενὲςof Godτοῦ θεοῦisstronger thanἰσχυρότερονmen.τῶν ἀνθρώπων

ForγὰρconsiderΒλέπετεyourὑμῶνcalling,τὴν κλῆσινbrothers:ἀδελφοίthatὅτιnotοὐmanyπολλοὶwerewiseσοφοὶaccording toκατὰthe flesh,σάρκαnotοὐmanyπολλοὶpowerful,δυνατοίnotοὐmanyπολλοὶof noble birth.εὐγενεῖς

ButἀλλὰGodὁ θεόςchoseἐξελέξατοthe foolish thingsτὰ μωρὰof the worldτοῦ κόσμουtoἵναshameκαταισχύνῃthe wise,τοὺς σοφούςandκαὶGodὁ θεόςchoseἐξελέξατοthe weak thingsτὰ ἀσθενῆof the worldτοῦ κόσμουtoἵναshameκαταισχύνῃthe strong things;τὰ ἰσχυρά

andκαὶGodὁ θεόςchoseἐξελέξατοthe lowborn thingsτὰ ἀγενῆof the worldτοῦ κόσμουandκαὶthe despised things,τὰ ἐξουθενημέναthe thingsτὰthat are not,μὴ ὄνταtoἵναnullifyκαταργήσῃthe thingsτὰthat are,ὄντα

so thatὅπωςnoμὴfleshπᾶσα σὰρξmay boastκαυχήσηταιbeforeἐνώπιονGod.τοῦ θεοῦ

Butδὲfromἐξhimαὐτοῦyouὑμεῖςareἐστεinἐνthe MessiahΧριστῷJesus,Ἰησοῦwhoὃςbecameἐγενήθηfor usἡμῖνwisdomσοφίαfromἀπὸGod,θεοῦrighteousnessδικαιοσύνηandτε καὶsanctificationἁγιασμὸςandκαὶredemption,ἀπολύτρωσις

so that,ἵναasκαθὼςit is written,γέγραπταιThe one whoὉboasts,καυχώμενοςlet him boastκαυχάσθωinἐνthe Lord.κυρίῳ1
