1 Corinthians 2:6–8
Paul speaks of God's wisdom that the rulers of this age did not know
Study it word by word6Yet we speak wisdom among the mature, but a wisdom not of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are passing away.
7But we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom, which God destined beforehand before the ages for our glory,
8which none of the rulers of this age has known; for if they had known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
In its context
4and my word and my proclamation were not with persuasion of wisdom, but with a demonstration of the Spirit and of power,
5so that your faith might not rest on the wisdom of men but on the power of God.
…
9But as it is written: What eye did not see and ear did not hear and did not come up into the heart of man, what things God prepared for those who love him.
10For to us God revealed it through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God.
