Romans 5:10–11
While we were enemies we were reconciled to God
Study it word by word10For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, having been reconciled, we will be saved by his life.
11And not only that, but we are also boasting in God through our Lord Jesus the Messiah, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.
In its context
8But God shows his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, the Messiah died for us.
9Much more, then, having now been declared righteous by his blood, we will be saved through him from the wrath.
…
12Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and through sin death, and so death spread to all people, because all sinned—
13For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not charged when there is no law.
