1 Chronicles 1:5-23

⁵The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras. ⁶And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Diphath, and Togarmah. ⁷And the sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Rodanim. ⁸The sons of Ham: Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan. ⁹And the sons of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca. And the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan. ¹⁰And Cush fathered Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one on the earth. ¹¹And Mizraim fathered the Ludim, the Anamim, the Lehabim, the Naphtuhim, ¹²the Pathrusim, the Casluhim (from where the Philistines came out), and the Caphtorim. ¹³And Canaan fathered Sidon, his firstborn, and Heth, ¹⁴and the Jebusite, the Amorite, the Girgashite, ¹⁵the Hivite, the Arkite, the Sinite, ¹⁶the Arvadite, the Zemarite, and the Hamathite. ¹⁷The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, Aram, Uz, Hul, Gether, and Meshech. ¹⁸And Arpachshad fathered Shelah, and Shelah fathered Eber. ¹⁹And to Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided; and the name of his brother was Joktan. ²⁰And Joktan fathered Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah, ²¹Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah, ²²Ebal, Abimael, Sheba, ²³Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab; all these were the sons of Joktan.

²The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras. ³And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah. ⁴And the sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim. ⁵From these the coastlands of the nations separated into their lands, each according to his language, according to their families, in their nations. ⁶And the sons of Ham: Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan. ⁷And the sons of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca. And the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan. ⁸And Cush fathered Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one on the earth. ⁹He was a mighty hunter before YHWH; that is why it is said, “Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before YHWH.” ¹⁰And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. ¹¹From that land he went out to Assyria and built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, Calah, ¹²and Resen between Nineveh and Calah; that is the great city. ¹³And Mizraim fathered the Ludim, the Anamim, the Lehabim, the Naphtuhim, ¹⁴the Pathrusim, the Casluhim (from where the Philistines came out), and the Caphtorim. ¹⁵And Canaan fathered Sidon, his firstborn, and Heth, ¹⁶and the Jebusite, the Amorite, the Girgashite, ¹⁷the Hivite, the Arkite, the Sinite, ¹⁸the Arvadite, the Zemarite, and the Hamathite. And afterward the families of the Canaanites were spread abroad. ¹⁹And the territory of the Canaanites was from Sidon, in the direction of Gerar, as far as Gaza; in the direction of Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha. ²⁰These are the sons of Ham, according to their families, according to their languages, in their lands, in their nations. ²¹And to Shem also, to him, sons were born, the father of all the sons of Eber, the elder brother of Japheth. ²²The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, and Aram. ²³And the sons of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash. ²⁴And Arpachshad fathered Shelah; and Shelah fathered Eber. ²⁵And to Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided; and the name of his brother was Joktan.
