1 Chronicles 15:25–16:3

15:25So David and the elders of Israel and the commanders of the thousands went to bring up the ark of the covenant of YHWH from the house of Obed-edom with joy. 15:26And it happened that when Elohim helped the Levites who carried the ark of the covenant of YHWH, they sacrificed seven bulls and seven rams. 15:27David was wrapped in a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites who were carrying the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah, the chief of the carrying of the singers; and on David was a linen ephod. 15:28So all Israel were bringing up the ark of the covenant of YHWH with acclamation and with the sound of the horn, and with trumpets and with cymbals, making themselves heard with harps and lyres. 15:29And it happened that as the ark of the covenant of YHWH was coming to the city of David, Michal the daughter of Saul looked down through the window and saw King David leaping and celebrating; and she despised him in her heart. 16:1They brought in the ark of Elohim and set it inside the tent that David had pitched for it; and they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before Elohim. 16:2When David had finished offering up the burnt offering and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of YHWH. 16:3And he distributed to every man of Israel, from man to woman, to each one a cake of bread, a portion of meat, and a raisin cake.

2 Samuel 6:12-19

12It was reported to King David, saying, “YHWH has blessed the house of Obed-edom and all that belongs to him, for the sake of the ark of Elohim.” So David went and brought up the ark of Elohim from the house of Obed-edom to the city of David with joy. 13And it happened that when those carrying the ark of YHWH had gone six steps, he sacrificed an ox and a fattened animal. 14David was dancing with all his strength before YHWH, and David was girded with a linen ephod. 15So David and all the house of Israel were bringing up the ark of YHWH with acclamation and with the sound of the horn. 16And as the ark of YHWH was coming into the city of David, Michal the daughter of Saul looked down through the window and saw King David leaping and dancing before YHWH; and she despised him in her heart. 17They brought in the ark of YHWH and set it in its place, inside the tent that David had pitched for it; and David offered up burnt offerings before YHWH, and peace offerings. 18When David had finished offering up the burnt offering and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of YHWH Tsevaot. 19And he distributed to all the people, to all the multitude of Israel, from man to woman, to each one one cake of bread, one portion of meat, and one raisin cake. Then all the people went, each to his house.
