DavidדָּוִידassembledוַיַּקְהֵלallכָּלIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵלatאֶלJerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִָםto bring upלְהַעֲלוֹתthe arkאֲרוֹןof YHWHיְהוָהtoאֶלits place,מְקוֹמוֹwhichאֲשֶׁרhe had preparedהֵכִיןfor it.לוֹ

and he saidוַיֹּאמֶרto them,לָהֶם“You areאַתֶּםthe headsרָאשֵׁיof the fathers’ housesהָאָבוֹתof the Levites.לַלְוִיִּםSanctify yourselves,הִתְקַדְּשׁוּyouאַתֶּםand your brothers,וַאֲחֵיכֶםand bring upוְהַעֲלִיתֶםthe arkאֲרוֹןof YHWH,יְהוָהthe Elohimאֱלֹהֵיof Israel,יִשְׂרָאֵלtoאֶלthe place I have preparedהֲכִינוֹתִיfor it.לוֹ
Becauseכִּי לְמַthe first timeבָּרִאשׁוֹנָהit was notלֹאyou,אַתֶּםYHWHיְהוָהour Elohimאֱלֹהֵינוּmade a breachפָּרַץin us,בָּנוּforכִּיwe did notלֹאconsult himדְרַשְׁנֻהוּaccording to the rule.”כַּמִּשְׁפָּט
So the priestsוַ הַכֹּהֲנִיםand the Levitesוְהַלְוִיִּםsanctified themselvesיִּתְקַדְּשׁוּto bring upלְהַעֲלוֹתthe arkאֲרוֹןof YHWH,יְהוָהthe Elohimאֱלֹהֵיof Israel.יִשְׂרָאֵל
The sonsבְנֵיof the Levitesהַלְוִיִּםcarriedוַיִּשְׂאוּthe arkאֲרוֹןof Elohim,הָאֱלֹהִיםasכַּאֲשֶׁרMosesמֹשֶׁהhad commandedצִוָּהaccording to the wordכִּדְבַרof YHWH,יְהוָהon their shoulders,בִּכְתֵפָםwith the polesבַּמֹּטוֹתon them.עֲלֵיהֶם
Davidדָּוִידtoldוַיֹּאמֶרthe chiefsלְשָׂרֵיof the Levitesהַלְוִיִּםto appointלְהַעֲמִידtheir brothers,אֲחֵיהֶםthe singers,הַמְשֹׁרְרִיםwith instrumentsבִּכְלֵיof song,שִׁירharpsנְבָלִיםand lyresוְכִנֹּרוֹתand cymbals,וּמְצִלְתָּיִםmaking themselves heard,מַשְׁמִיעִיםlifting upלְהָרִיםthe voiceבְּקוֹלwith joy.לְשִׂמְחָה
So the LevitesהַלְוִיִּםappointedוַיַּעֲמִידוּHemanהֵימָןsonבֶּןof Joel;יוֹאֵלand fromוּמִןhis brothers,אֶחָיוAsaphאָסָףsonבֶּןof Berechiah;בֶּרֶכְיָהוּand fromוּמִןthe sonsבְּנֵיof Merari,מְרָרִיtheir brothers,אֲחֵיהֶםEthanאֵיתָןsonבֶּןof Kushaiah;קוּשָׁיָהוּ
and with themוְעִמָּהֶםtheir brothersאֲחֵיהֶםof the second rank:הַמִּשְׁנִיםZechariah,זְכַרְיָהוּBen,בֵּןand Jaaziel,וְיַעֲזִיאֵלand Shemiramoth,וּשְׁמִירָמוֹתand Jehiel,וִיחִיאֵלand Unni,וְעֻנִּיEliab,אֱלִיאָבand Benaiah,וּבְנָיָהוּand Maaseiah,וּמַעֲשֵׂיָהוּand Mattithiah,וּמַתִּתְיָהוּand Eliphelehu,וֶאֱלִיפְלֵהוּand Mikneiah,וּמִקְנֵיָהוּand Obed-edomוְעֹבֵד אֱדֹםand Jeiel,וִיעִיאֵלthe gatekeepers.הַשֹּׁעֲרִים
And the singers,וְהַמְשֹׁרְרִיםHeman,הֵימָןAsaph,אָסָףand Ethan,וְאֵיתָןwith cymbalsבִּמְצִלְתַּיִםof bronze,נְחֹשֶׁתto make themselves heard;לְהַשְׁמִיעַ
and Zechariah,וּזְכַרְיָהand Aziel,וַעֲזִיאֵלand Shemiramoth,וּשְׁמִירָמוֹתand Jehiel,וִיחִיאֵלand Unni,וְעֻנִּיand Eliab,וֶאֱלִיאָבand Maaseiah,וּמַעֲשֵׂיָהוּand Benaiah,וּבְנָיָהוּwith harpsבִּנְבָלִיםon Alamoth;עַל עֲלָמוֹת
and Mattithiah,וּמַתִּתְיָהוּand Eliphelehu,וֶאֱלִיפְלֵהוּand Mikneiah,וּמִקְנֵיָהוּand Obed-edom,וְעֹבֵד אֱדֹםand Jeiel,וִיעִיאֵלand Azaziah,וַעֲזַזְיָהוּwith lyresבְּכִנֹּרוֹתon Sheminith,עַל הַשְּׁמִינִיתto lead.לְנַצֵּחַ
And Chenaniah,וּכְנַנְיָהוּchiefשַׂרof the Levitesהַלְוִיִּםin the carrying,בְּמַשָּׂאgave instructionיָסֹרin the carrying,בַּמַּשָּׂאforכִּיheהוּאunderstood it.מֵבִין
And Berechiahוּבֶרֶכְיָהand Elkanahוְאֶלְקָנָהweregatekeepersשֹׁעֲרִיםfor the ark.לָאָרוֹן
And Shebaniah,וּשְׁבַנְיָהוּand Joshaphat,וְיוֹשָׁפָטand Nethanel,וּנְתַנְאֵלand Amasai,וַעֲמָשַׂיand Zechariah,וּזְכַרְיָהוּand Benaiah,וּבְנָיָהוּand Eliezer,וֶאֱלִיעֶזֶרthe priests,הַכֹּהֲנִיםwere blowingמַחְצְרִיםthe trumpetsבַּחֲצֹצְרוֹתbeforeלִפְנֵיthe arkאֲרוֹןof Elohim;הָאֱלֹהִיםand Obed-edomוְעֹבֵד אֱדֹםand Jehiahוִיחִיָּהweregatekeepersשֹׁעֲרִיםfor the ark.לָאָרוֹן
So Davidוַיְהִי דָוִידand the eldersוְזִקְנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלand the commandersוְשָׂרֵיof the thousandsהָאֲלָפִיםwentהַהֹלְכִיםto bring upלְהַעֲלוֹתthe arkאֲרוֹןof the covenantבְּרִיתof YHWHיְהוָהfromמִןthe houseבֵּיתof Obed-edomעֹבֵד אֱדֹםwith joy.בְּשִׂמְחָה
And it happened thatוַיְהִיwhenבֶּElohimהָאֱלֹהִיםhelpedעְזֹרthe Levitesהַלְוִיִּםwho carriedנֹשְׂאֵיthe arkאֲרוֹןof the covenantבְּרִיתof YHWH,יְהוָהthey sacrificedוַיִּזְבְּחוּsevenשִׁבְעָהbullsפָרִיםand sevenוְשִׁבְעָהrams.אֵילִים
Davidוְדָוִידwas wrappedמְכֻרְבָּלin a robeבִּמְעִילof fine linen,בּוּץand allוְכָלthe Levitesהַלְוִיִּםwho were carryingהַנֹּשְׂאִיםthe ark,הָאָרוֹןand the singers,וְהַמְשֹׁרְרִיםand Chenaniah,וּכְנַנְיָהthe chiefהַשַּׂרof the carryingהַמַּשָּׂאof the singers;הַמְשֹׁרְרִיםand onוְעַלDavidדָּוִידwasa linenבָּדephod.אֵפוֹד
So allוְכָלIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵלwere bringing upמַעֲלִיםthe arkאֲרוֹןof the covenantבְּרִיתof YHWHיְהוָהwith acclamationבִּתְרוּעָהand with the soundוּבְקוֹלof the horn,שׁוֹפָרand with trumpetsוּבַחֲצֹצְרוֹתand with cymbals,וּבִמְצִלְתָּיִםmaking themselves heardמַשְׁמִעִיםwith harpsבִּנְבָלִיםand lyres.וְכִנֹּרוֹת
And it happened thatוַיְהִיas the arkאֲרוֹןof the covenantבְּרִיתof YHWHיְהוָהwas comingבָּאtoעַדthe cityעִירof David,דָּוִידMichalוּמִיכַלthe daughterבַּתof Saulשָׁאוּלlooked downנִשְׁקְפָהthroughבְּעַדthe windowהַחַלּוֹןand sawוַתֵּרֶאKingהַמֶּלֶךְDavidדָּוִידleapingמְרַקֵּדand celebrating;וּמְשַׂחֵקand she despisedוַתִּבֶזhimלוֹin her heart.בְּלִבָּהּ
