2 Chronicles 7:1-10

1When Solomon had finished praying, the fire came down from the heavens and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of YHWH filled the house. 2The priests could not enter into the house of YHWH, for the glory of YHWH had filled the house of YHWH. 3All the sons of Israel were watching the fire come down and the glory of YHWH upon the house, and they knelt with their faces to the ground on the pavement, and bowed down and gave thanks to YHWH, “For he is good, for his loyal love is forever.” 4The king and all the people were sacrificing sacrifices before YHWH. 5King Solomon sacrificed the sacrifice: twenty and two thousand oxen and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the people dedicated the house of Elohim. 6The priests were standing at their posts, and the Levites with the instruments of song of YHWH that David the king had made for giving thanks to YHWH, “For his loyal love is forever,” when David praised by their hand; and the priests were sounding the trumpets opposite them, and all Israel was standing. 7Solomon sanctified the middle of the court that was before the house of YHWH, for there he offered the burnt offerings and the fat of the peace offerings; for the altar of bronze that Solomon had made could not hold the burnt offering, the grain offering, and the fat. 8Solomon celebrated the feast at that time seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great assembly, from the entrance of Hamath to the Brook of Egypt. 9On the eighth day they held a solemn assembly, for they had held the dedication of the altar seven days, and the feast seven days. 10On day twenty-three of the seventh month he dismissed the people to their tents, joyful and glad of heart for the good that YHWH had done for David and for Solomon and for Israel his people.

1 Kings 8:54-66

54And it happened, when Solomon finished praying to YHWH all this prayer and supplication, that he rose from before the altar of YHWH, from kneeling on his knees, with his hands spread out toward the heavens. 55And he stood and blessed all the assembly of Israel with a loud voice, saying, 56“Blessed be YHWH, who has given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he spoke; not one word has fallen of all his good word that he spoke by means of Moses his servant. 57May YHWH our Elohim be with us as he was with our fathers; may he not abandon us nor forsake us, 58to incline our hearts to him, to walk in all his ways and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his rules that he commanded our fathers. 59And may these words of mine, with which I have made supplication before YHWH, be near to YHWH our Elohim day and night, that he may do justice for his servant and justice for his people Israel, the matter of each day in its day, 60so that all the peoples of the earth may know that YHWH, he is Elohim; there is no other. 61And let your heart be whole with YHWH our Elohim, to walk in his statutes and to keep his commandments, as at this day.” 62And the king, and all Israel with him, were sacrificing sacrifice before YHWH. 63And Solomon sacrificed the sacrifice of peace that he sacrificed to YHWH: twenty and two thousand oxen and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the sons of Israel dedicated the house of YHWH. 64On that day the king sanctified the middle of the court that was in front of the house of YHWH; for there he offered the burnt offering and the grain offering and the fat of the peace offerings, because the altar of bronze that was before YHWH was too small to contain the burnt offering and the grain offering and the fat of the peace offerings. 65And Solomon celebrated at that time the feast, and all Israel with him, a great assembly, from the entrance of Hamath to the brook of Egypt, before YHWH our Elohim, seven days and seven days, fourteen days. 66On the eighth day he dismissed the people; and they blessed the king and went to their tents, joyful and glad of heart for all the good that YHWH had done for David his servant and for Israel his people.
