YHWH
The personal name of the God of Israel, written in Hebrew with four letters, Y-H-W-H, without vowels. Out of reverence Jews stopped pronouncing it and read "Adonai" (Lord), so many Bibles put "the LORD" or "Jehovah". This translation keeps the four letters. The name is related to the verb "to be" (Exodus 3:14-15). He is not a god other than Elohim: "YHWH Elohim" is the same Creator God, called by his name.

The Hebrew word translated “blindness” is rare: it appears only here and in Genesis 19:11. The men can walk and follow Elisha, but they do not recognize where they are or whom they have before them.
The context
17Elisha prayed and said, “YHWH, please open his eyes so that he may see.” YHWH opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw; and there was the mountain, full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

19Elisha said to them, “This is not the way, and this is not the city. Follow me, and I will lead you to the man whom you are seeking.” And he led them to Samaria.
