Barzillai
Barzillai: the name of several men in the Bible: the rich old Gileadite from Rogelim who brought provisions to David when he fled from Absalom (2 Samuel 17 and 19); a man of Meholah, father of Adriel (2 Samuel 21:8); and a priest who took that name by marrying a daughter of the Gileadite (Ezra 2:61). The lexicon relates the name to "iron."

35I am eighty years old today. Can I distinguish between good and bad? Can your servant taste what I eat or what I drink? Can I still hear the voice of singing men and singing women? Why then should your servant be still a burden to my lord the king?
