Now the houseוּ בֵיתof Saulשָׁאוּלhadלְa servantעֶבֶדwhose nameוּשְׁמוֹwasZiba,צִיבָאand they calledוַיִּקְרְאוּhimלוֹtoאֶלDavid.דָּוִדThe kingהַמֶּלֶךְsaidוַיֹּאמֶרto him,אֵלָיו“Are youהַאַתָּהZiba?”צִיבָאHe said,וַיֹּאמֶר“Your servant.”עַבְדֶּךָ
The kingהַמֶּלֶךְsaid,וַיֹּאמֶר“Is thereהַאֶפֶסno longerעוֹדany manאִישׁof the houseלְבֵיתof Saul,שָׁאוּלthat I may doוְאֶעֱשֶׂהthe loyal loveחֶסֶדof Elohimאֱלֹהִיםwith him?”עִמּוֹZibaצִיבָאsaidוַיֹּאמֶרtoאֶלthe king,הַמֶּלֶךְ“There is stillעוֹדa sonבֵּןof Jonathan,לִיהוֹנָתָןinjuredנְכֵהin the feet.”רַגְלָיִם
The kingהַמֶּלֶךְsaidוַיֹּאמֶרto him,לוֹ“Whereאֵיפֹהis he?”הוּאZibaצִיבָאsaidוַיֹּאמֶרtoאֶלthe king,הַמֶּלֶךְ“Look,הִנֵּהheהוּאis inthe houseבֵּיתof Machirמָכִירsonבֶּןof Ammiel,עַמִּיאֵלin Lo-debar.”בְּלוֹ דְבָר
KingהַמֶּלֶךְDavidדָּוִדsentוַיִּשְׁלַחand took himוַיִּקָּחֵהוּfrom the houseמִבֵּיתof Machirמָכִירsonבֶּןof Ammiel,עַמִּיאֵלfrom Lo-debar.מִלּוֹ דְבָר
Mephiboshethמְפִיבֹשֶׁתsonבֶּןof Jonathan,יְהוֹנָתָןsonבֶּןof Saul,שָׁאוּלcameוַיָּבֹאtoאֶלDavidדָּוִדand fellוַיִּפֹּלonעַלhis faceפָּנָיוand bowed down.וַיִּשְׁתָּחוּDavidדָּוִדsaid,וַיֹּאמֶר“Mephibosheth.”מְפִיבֹשֶׁתHe said,וַיֹּאמֶר“Here isהִנֵּהyour servant.”עַבְדֶּךָ
Davidדָוִדsaidוַיֹּאמֶרto him,לוֹ“Do notאַלbe afraid,תִּירָאforכִּיI will certainly doעָשֹׂה אֶעֱשֶׂהloyal loveחֶסֶדwith youעִמְּךָfor the sake ofבַּעֲבוּרJonathanיְהוֹנָתָןyour father;אָבִיךָI will restoreוַהֲשִׁבֹתִיto youלְךָallכָּלthe landשְׂדֵהof Saulשָׁאוּלyour father,אָבִיךָand youוְאַתָּהwill eatתֹּאכַלbreadלֶחֶםatעַלmy tableשֻׁלְחָנִיalways.”תָּמִיד
He bowed downוַיִּשְׁתַּחוּand said,וַיֹּאמֶר“Whatמֶהisyour servant,עַבְדֶּךָthatכִּיyou should turnפָנִיתָtoאֶלa deadהַמֵּתdogהַכֶּלֶבsuchאֲשֶׁרas I?”כָּמוֹנִי
The kingהַמֶּלֶךְcalledוַיִּקְרָאtoאֶלZiba,צִיבָאSaul’sשָׁאוּלyoung man,נַעַרand saidוַיֹּאמֶרto him,אֵלָיו“Allכֹּלthatאֲשֶׁרbelongedהָיָהto Saulלְשָׁאוּלand to allוּלְכָלhis houseבֵּיתוֹI have givenנָתַתִּיto your lord’sאֲדֹנֶיךָson.לְבֶן
And you shall workוְעָבַדְתָּthe groundהָאֲדָמָהfor him,לּוֹyouאַתָּהand your sonsוּבָנֶיךָand your servants,וַעֲבָדֶיךָand you shall bring in the produce,וְהֵבֵאתָand it will beוְהָיָהbreadלֶּחֶםfor your lord’sאֲדֹנֶיךָsonלְבֶןto eat;וַאֲכָלוֹbut Mephiboshethוּמְפִיבֹשֶׁתyour lord’sאֲדֹנֶיךָsonבֶּןwill eatיֹאכַלbreadלֶחֶםatעַלmy tableשֻׁלְחָנִיalways.”תָּמִידNow Zibaוּ צִיבָאhadלְfifteenחֲמִשָּׁה עָשָׂרsonsבָּנִיםand twentyוְעֶשְׂרִיםservants.עֲבָדִים
Zibaצִיבָאsaidוַיֹּאמֶרtoאֶלthe king,הַמֶּלֶךְ“According to allכְּכֹלthatאֲשֶׁרmy lordאֲדֹנִיthe kingהַמֶּלֶךְcommandsיְצַוֶּהhis servant,עַבְדּוֹsoכֵּןyour servantעַבְדֶּךָwill do.”יַעֲשֶׂהSo Mephiboshethוּמְפִיבֹשֶׁתateאֹכֵלatעַלmy table,שֻׁלְחָנִיlikeכְּoneאַחַדofמִthe sonsבְּנֵיof the king.הַמֶּלֶךְ
Mephiboshethוְ מְפִיבֹשֶׁתhadלִa youngקָטָןsonבֵּןwhose nameוּשְׁמוֹwasMica.מִיכָאAnd allוְכֹלwho livedמוֹשַׁבin the houseבֵּיתof Zibaצִיבָאwereservantsעֲבָדִיםof Mephibosheth.לִמְפִיבֹשֶׁת
So Mephiboshethוּמְפִיבֹשֶׁתlivedיֹשֵׁבin Jerusalem,בִּירוּשָׁלִַםforכִּיatעַלthe tableשֻׁלְחַןof the kingהַמֶּלֶךְheהוּאalwaysתָּמִידate;אֹכֵלand heוְהוּאwas lameפִסֵּחַin bothשְׁתֵּיhis feet.רַגְלָיו
