Jerusalem
Today: Old City of Jerusalem
A city in the hills of Judea, about 22 miles (35 km) west of the Dead Sea and 35 miles (55 km) east of the Mediterranean.
David took it and made it his city (2 Sam 5:7); Solomon built the temple there (1 Kgs 8:1). Jesus was presented there, and the apostles' witness began from it (Luke 2:22; Acts 1:8).
The context
24Seventy weeks are decreed concerning your people and concerning your holy city, to finish the transgression, and to put an end to sin, and to make expiation for iniquity, and to bring in eternal righteousness, and to seal up vision and prophet, and to anoint a most holy place.
25 · This verse (above)
26And after the sixty and two weeks an Anointed One will be cut off and will have nothing; and the people of a leader who is to come will destroy the city and the holy place; and its end will come with a flood, and until the end there will be war; desolations are decreed.
