Numbers 18:8, word by word
- And YHWHיְהוָהyehva
YHWH
The personal name of the God of Israel, written in Hebrew with four letters, Y-H-W-H, without vowels. Out of reverence Jews stopped pronouncing it and read "Adonai" (Lord), so many Bibles put "the LORD" or "Jehovah". This translation keeps the four letters. The name is related to the verb "to be" (Exodus 3:14-15). He is not a god other than Elohim: "YHWH Elohim" is the same Creator God, called by his name.

7But you and your sons with you shall keep your priesthood in every matter of the altar and of what is inside the veil, and you shall serve. As a service of gift I give your priesthood, and the stranger who comes near shall be put to death.”
8 · This verse (above)
9This shall be yours of the most holy things, from the fire: every offering of theirs, every grain offering of theirs and every sin offering of theirs and every guilt offering of theirs that they render to me, shall be most holy for you and for your sons.
