“The sonsבְּנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלshall camp,יַחֲנוּeach manאִישׁby his banner,עַל דִּגְלוֹwith the signsבְאֹתֹתof their fathers’ houses;לְבֵית אֲבֹתָםthey shall campיַחֲנוּaroundסָבִיבthe tentלְאֹהֶלof meeting,מוֹעֵדfacing it.מִנֶּגֶד
Those who campוְהַחֹנִיםon the east side,קֵדְמָהtoward the sunrise,מִזְרָחָהshall be the bannerדֶּגֶלof the campמַחֲנֵהof Judahיְהוּדָהby their armies;לְצִבְאֹתָםand the chiefוְנָשִׂיאof the sonsלִבְנֵיof Judahיְהוּדָהis Nahshonנַחְשׁוֹןsonבֶּןof Amminadab,עַמִּינָדָב
and his army,וּצְבָאוֹthose of them counted,וּפְקֻדֵיהֶםare seventy-four thousand six hundred.אַרְבָּעָה וְשִׁבְעִים אֶלֶף וְשֵׁשׁ מֵאוֹת
Those who campוְהַחֹנִיםnext to himעָלָיוshall be the tribeמַטֵּהof Issachar;יִשָּׂשכָרand the chiefוְנָשִׂיאof the sonsלִבְנֵיof Issacharיִשָּׂשכָרis Nethanelנְתַנְאֵלsonבֶּןof Zuar,צוּעָר
and his army,וּצְבָאוֹthose of them counted,וּפְקֻדָיוare fifty-four thousand four hundred.אַרְבָּעָה וַחֲמִשִּׁים אֶלֶף וְאַרְבַּע מֵאוֹת
Then the tribeמַטֵּהof Zebulun;זְבוּלֻןand the chiefוְנָשִׂיאof the sonsלִבְנֵיof Zebulunזְבוּלֻןis Eliabאֱלִיאָבsonבֶּןof Helon,חֵלֹן
and his army,וּצְבָאוֹthose of them counted,וּפְקֻדָיוare fifty-seven thousand four hundred.שִׁבְעָה וַחֲמִשִּׁים אֶלֶף וְאַרְבַּע מֵאוֹת
Allכָּלthose countedהַפְּקֻדִיםof the campלְמַחֲנֵהof Judahיְהוּדָהare one hundred eighty-six thousand four hundred,מְאַת אֶלֶף וּשְׁמֹנִים אֶלֶף וְשֵׁשֶׁת אֲלָפִים וְאַרְבַּע מֵאוֹתby their armies.לְצִבְאֹתָםThey shall set outיִסָּעוּfirst.רִאשֹׁנָה
The bannerדֶּגֶלof the campמַחֲנֵהof Reubenרְאוּבֵןshall be on the south sideתֵּימָנָהby their armies;לְצִבְאֹתָםand the chiefוְנָשִׂיאof the sonsלִבְנֵיof Reubenרְאוּבֵןis Elizurאֱלִיצוּרsonבֶּןof Shedeur,שְׁדֵיאוּר
and his army,וּצְבָאוֹthose of them counted,וּפְקֻדָיוare forty-six thousand five hundred.שִׁשָּׁה וְאַרְבָּעִים אֶלֶף וַחֲמֵשׁ מֵאוֹת
Those who campוְהַחוֹנִםnext to himעָלָיוshall be the tribeמַטֵּהof Simeon;שִׁמְעוֹןand the chiefוְנָשִׂיאof the sonsלִבְנֵיof Simeonשִׁמְעוֹןis Shelumielשְׁלֻמִיאֵלsonבֶּןof Zurishaddai,צוּרִי שַׁדָּי

Then the tentוְ אֹהֶלof meeting,מוֹעֵדthe campמַחֲנֵהof the Levites,הַלְוִיִּםshall set outנָסַעin the middleבְּתוֹךְof the camps;הַמַּחֲנֹתasכַּאֲשֶׁרthey camp,יַחֲנוּsoכֵּןthey shall set out,יִסָּעוּeach manאִישׁin his place,עַל יָדוֹby their banners.לְדִגְלֵיהֶם
The bannerדֶּגֶלof the campמַחֲנֵהof Ephraimאֶפְרַיִםby their armiesלְצִבְאֹתָםshall be on the west side;יָמָּהand the chiefוְנָשִׂיאof the sonsלִבְנֵיof Ephraimאֶפְרַיִםis Elishamaאֱלִישָׁמָעsonבֶּןof Ammihud,עַמִּיהוּד
and his army,וּצְבָאוֹthose of them counted,וּפְקֻדֵיהֶםare forty thousand five hundred.אַרְבָּעִים אֶלֶף וַחֲמֵשׁ מֵאוֹת
And next to himוְעָלָיוshall be the tribeמַטֵּהof Manasseh;מְנַשֶּׁהand the chiefוְנָשִׂיאof the sonsלִבְנֵיof Manassehמְנַשֶּׁהis Gamalielגַּמְלִיאֵלsonבֶּןof Pedahzur,פְּדָהצוּר
and his army,וּצְבָאוֹthose of them counted,וּפְקֻדֵיהֶםare thirty-two thousand two hundred.שְׁנַיִם וּשְׁלֹשִׁים אֶלֶף וּמָאתָיִם

The bannerדֶּגֶלof the campמַחֲנֵהof Danדָןshall be on the north sideצָפֹנָהby their armies;לְצִבְאֹתָםand the chiefוְנָשִׂיאof the sonsלִבְנֵיof Danדָןis Ahiezerאֲחִיעֶזֶרsonבֶּןof Ammishaddai,עַמִּישַׁדָּי
and his army,וּצְבָאוֹthose of them counted,וּפְקֻדֵיהֶםare sixty-two thousand seven hundred.שְׁנַיִם וְשִׁשִּׁים אֶלֶף וּשְׁבַע מֵאוֹת
Those who campוְהַחֹנִיםnext to himעָלָיוshall be the tribeמַטֵּהof Asher;אָשֵׁרand the chiefוְנָשִׂיאof the sonsלִבְנֵיof Asherאָשֵׁרis Pagielפַּגְעִיאֵלsonבֶּןof Ochran,עָכְרָן
and his army,וּצְבָאוֹthose of them counted,וּפְקֻדֵיהֶםare forty-one thousand five hundred.אֶחָד וְאַרְבָּעִים אֶלֶף וַחֲמֵשׁ מֵאוֹת
And the tribeוּמַטֵּהof Naphtali;נַפְתָּלִיand the chiefוְנָשִׂיאof the sonsלִבְנֵיof Naphtaliנַפְתָּלִיis Ahiraאֲחִירַעsonבֶּןof Enan,עֵינָן
and his army,וּצְבָאוֹthose of them counted,וּפְקֻדֵיהֶםare fifty-three thousand four hundred.שְׁלֹשָׁה וַחֲמִשִּׁים אֶלֶף וְאַרְבַּע מֵאוֹת

But the Levitesוְהַלְוִיִּםwere notלֹאcountedהָתְפָּקְדוּamongבְּתוֹךְthe sonsבְּנֵיof Israel,יִשְׂרָאֵלasכַּאֲשֶׁרYHWHיְהוָהhad commandedצִוָּהMoses.אֶת מֹשֶׁה
