1 Corinthians 12:4–11
Many kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit, given for the good of all
Study it word by word4Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit;
5and there are varieties of service, and the same Lord;
6and there are varieties of workings, but the same God who works all things in all.
7But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the benefit of all.
8For to one through the Spirit is given a word of wisdom, and to another a word of knowledge according to the same Spirit,
9to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit,
10to another workings of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discernment of spirits, to another kinds of tongues, to another interpretation of tongues.
11But all these things the one and the same Spirit works, distributing to each one individually just as he wills.
In its context
2You know that when you were of the nations, you were carried away to mute idols, however you were led.
3Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, Jesus be accursed; and no one can say, Jesus is Lord, except by the Holy Spirit.
…
12For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is the Messiah.
13For indeed in one Spirit we all were immersed into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and all were given one Spirit to drink.
