You knowοἴδατεthatὅτιwhenὅτεyou wereἦτεof thenations,ἔθνηyou werecarried awayἀπαγόμενοιtoπρὸςmuteτὰ ἄφωναidols,τὰ εἴδωλαhoweverὡς ἂνyou were led.ἤγεσθε
ThereforeδιὸI make knownγνωρίζωto youὑμῖνthatὅτιno oneοὐδεὶςspeakingλαλῶνbyἐνthe Spiritπνεύματιof Godθεοῦsays,λέγειJesusἸησοῦςbeaccursed;Ἀνάθεμαandκαὶno oneοὐδεὶςcanδύναταιsay,εἰπεῖνJesusἸησοῦςisLord,Κύριοςexceptεἰ μὴbyἐνthe HolyἁγίῳSpirit.πνεύματι
Nowδὲthere areεἰσίνvarietiesΔιαιρέσειςof gifts,χαρισμάτωνbutδὲthe sameτὸ αὐτὸSpirit;πνεῦμα
andκαὶthere areεἰσινvarietiesδιαιρέσειςof service,διακονιῶνandκαὶthe sameὁ αὐτὸςLord;κύριος
andκαὶthere areεἰσίνvarietiesδιαιρέσειςof workings,ἐνεργημάτωνbutδὲthe sameὁ αὐτὸςGodθεόςwhoὁworksἐνεργῶνall thingsτὰ πάνταinἐνall.πᾶσιν
Butδὲto each oneἑκάστῳis givenδίδοταιthe manifestationἡ φανέρωσιςof the Spiritτοῦ πνεύματοςforπρὸςthe benefit of all.τὸ συμφέρον
Forγὰρto oneᾧ μὲνthroughδιὰthe Spiritτοῦ πνεύματοςis givenδίδοταιa wordλόγοςof wisdom,σοφίαςandδὲto anotherἄλλῳa wordλόγοςof knowledgeγνώσεωςaccording toκατὰthe sameτὸ αὐτὸSpirit,πνεῦμα
to anotherἑτέρῳfaithπίστιςbyἐνthe sameτῷ αὐτῷSpirit,πνεύματιto anotherἄλλῳgiftsχαρίσματαof healingἰαμάτωνbyἐνthe oneτῷ ἑνὶSpirit,πνεύματι
to anotherἄλλῳworkingsἐνεργήματαof miracles,δυνάμεωνto anotherἄλλῳprophecy,προφητείαto anotherἄλλῳdiscernmentδιακρίσειςof spirits,πνευμάτωνto anotherἑτέρῳkindsγένηof tongues,γλωσσῶνto anotherἄλλῳinterpretationἑρμηνείαof tongues.γλωσσῶν
Butδὲallπάνταthese thingsταῦταthe oneτὸ ἓνandκαὶthe sameτὸ αὐτὸSpiritπνεῦμαworks,ἐνεργεῖdistributingδιαιροῦνto each oneἑκάστῳindividuallyἰδίᾳjust asκαθὼςhe wills.βούλεται
Forγὰρjust asΚαθάπερthe bodyτὸ σῶμαisἐστινoneἕνandκαὶhasἔχειmanyπολλὰmembers,μέληandδὲallπάνταthe membersτὰ μέληof the body,τοῦ σώματοςthough they areὄνταmany,πολλὰareἐστινoneἕνbody,σῶμαsoοὕτωςalsoκαὶisthe Messiah.ὁ Χριστός
For indeedκαὶ γὰρinἐνoneἑνὶSpiritπνεύματιweἡμεῖςallπάντεςwere immersedἐβαπτίσθημενintoεἰςoneἓνbody,σῶμαwhetherεἴτεJewsἸουδαῖοιorεἴτεGreeks,Ἕλληνεςwhetherεἴτεslavesδοῦλοιorεἴτεfree,ἐλεύθεροιandκαὶallπάντεςwere givenἐποτίσθημενoneἓνSpiritπνεῦμαto drink.ἐποτίσθημεν
For indeedΚαὶ γὰρthe bodyτὸ σῶμαisἔστινnotοὐκoneἓνmemberμέλοςbutἀλλὰmany.πολλά
Ifἐὰνthe footὁ πούςsays,εἴπῃBecauseὍτιI amεἰμὶnotοὐκa hand,χείρI amεἰμὶnotοὐκpart ofἐκthe body,τοῦ σώματοςit isἔστινnotοὐfor this reasonπαρὰ τοῦτοany lessοὐκpart ofἐκthe body.τοῦ σώματος
Andκαὶifἐὰνthe earτὸ οὖςsays,εἴπῃBecauseὍτιI amεἰμὶnotοὐκan eye,ὀφθαλμόςI amεἰμὶnotοὐκpart ofἐκthe body,τοῦ σώματοςit isἔστινnotοὐfor this reasonπαρὰ τοῦτοany lessοὐκpart ofἐκthe body.τοῦ σώματος
Ifεἰthe wholeὅλονbodyτὸ σῶμαwerean eye,ὀφθαλμόςwhereποῦwouldthe hearing be?ἡ ἀκοήIfεἰthe wholeὅλονwerehearing,ἀκοήwhereποῦwouldthe smell be?ἡ ὄσφρησις
ButδὲnowνυνὶGodὁ θεὸςhas placedἔθετοthe members,τὰ μέληeachἕκαστονoneἓνof them,αὐτῶνinἐνthe bodyτῷ σώματιjust asκαθὼςhe wanted.ἠθέλησεν
Andδὲifεἰallτὰ πάνταwereἦνoneἓνmember,μέλοςwhereποῦwouldthe body be?τὸ σῶμα
Butδὲnowνῦνthere aremanyπολλὰ μὲνmembers,μέληbutδὲoneἓνbody.σῶμα
Andδὲthe eyeὁ ὀφθαλμὸςcannotοὐ δύναταιsayεἰπεῖνto the hand,τῇ χειρίI haveἔχωnoοὐκneedΧρείανof you,σουorἢagainπάλινthe headἡ κεφαλὴto the feet,τοῖς ποσίνI haveἔχωnoοὐκneedΧρείανof you.ὑμῶν
On the contrary,ἀλλὰmuchπολλῷmoreμᾶλλονthe membersτὰ μέληof the bodyτοῦ σώματοςthat seemδοκοῦνταto beὑπάρχεινweakerἀσθενέστεραareἐστινnecessary,ἀναγκαῖά
andκαὶthose partsof the bodyτοῦ σώματοςthatἃwe thinkδοκοῦμενto beεἶναιless honorable,ἀτιμότεραon theseτούτοιςwe bestowπεριτίθεμενgreaterπερισσοτέρανhonor,τιμὴνandκαὶourἡμῶνunpresentable partsτὰ ἀσχήμοναhaveἔχειgreaterπερισσοτέρανdecorum,εὐσχημοσύνην
whereasδὲourἡμῶνpresentable partsτὰ εὐσχήμοναhaveἔχειnoοὐneed.χρείανButἀλλὰGodὁ θεὸςhas put togetherσυνεκέρασενthe body,τὸ σῶμαgivingδοὺςgreaterπερισσοτέρανhonorτιμήνto the part that lacks it,τῷ ὑστεροῦντι
so thatἵναthere may beᾖnoμὴdivisionσχίσμαinἐνthe body,τῷ σώματιbutἀλλὰthatthe membersτὰ μέληmay careμεριμνῶσιequallyτὸ αὐτὸforὑπὲρone another.ἀλλήλων
Andκαὶifεἴτεoneἓνmemberμέλοςsuffers,πάσχειallπάνταthe membersτὰ μέληsuffer with it;συμπάσχειifεἴτεa memberμέλοςis glorified,δοξάζεταιallπάνταthe membersτὰ μέληrejoice with it.συγχαίρει
NowδέyouὙμεῖςareἐστεthe bodyσῶμαof the MessiahΧριστοῦandκαὶmembersμέληindividually.ἐκ μέρους
AndκαὶGodὁ θεὸςhas placedἔθετοsomeοὓς μὲνinἐνthe assembly:τῇ ἐκκλησίᾳfirstπρῶτονapostles,ἀποστόλουςsecondδεύτερονprophets,προφήταςthirdτρίτονteachers,διδασκάλουςthenἔπειταmiracles,δυνάμειςthenἔπειταgiftsχαρίσματαof healing,ἰαμάτωνhelps,ἀντιλήμψειςadministration,κυβερνήσειςkindsγένηof tongues.γλωσσῶν
Are allμὴ πάντεςapostles?ἀπόστολοιAre allμὴ πάντεςprophets?προφῆταιAre allμὴ πάντεςteachers?διδάσκαλοιDo allμὴ πάντεςworkmiracles?δυνάμεις
Do allμὴ πάντεςhaveἔχουσινgiftsχαρίσματαof healing?ἰαμάτωνDo allμὴ πάντεςspeakλαλοῦσινin tongues?γλώσσαιςDo allμὴ πάντεςinterpret?διερμηνεύουσιν
Butδὲearnestly desireζηλοῦτεthe greaterτὰ μείζοναgifts.τὰ χαρίσματαAndκαὶI showδείκνυμιyouὑμῖνa stillἔτιmore excellentκαθ’ ὑπερβολὴνway.ὁδὸν
