1 Timothy 6:17–19

To the rich: hope in God, do good and share

17Command the rich in the present age not to be arrogant nor to set their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who provides us with all things richly for enjoyment;

18to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous, sharing,

19storing up for themselves a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of the life that is real.

15which he will show at the proper time, the happy and only Sovereign, the King of those who reign and Lord of those who rule as lords,

16who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see; to him be honor and eternal might. Amen.

20O Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to you, turning away from the profane empty chatter and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge,

21which some, by professing it, have missed the mark concerning the faith. Grace be with you.
