Ephesians 2:14–18
Jesus broke down the wall of hostility and made two peoples one
Study it word by word14For he himself is our peace, who made both one and broke down the dividing wall of the partition, the hostility, in his flesh,
15having abolished the law of commandments in decrees, so that he might create the two in himself into one new man, making peace,
16and might reconcile both in one body to God through the cross, having killed the hostility by it.
17And he came and proclaimed the good news of peace to you who were far off and peace to those near;
18for through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.
In its context
12that you were at that time without the Messiah, alienated from the citizenship of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
13But now in the Messiah Jesus you who once were far off have become near by the blood of the Messiah.
…
19So then you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,
20built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, the Messiah Jesus himself being the cornerstone,
