Hebrews 10:35–36
You need endurance to receive what was promised
Study it word by word35So do not throw away your boldness, which has a great recompense.
36For you need perseverance, so that, having done the will of God, you may receive the promise.
In its context
33sometimes being publicly exposed to reproaches and afflictions, and sometimes becoming partners with those who were treated that way.
34For you indeed sympathized with the prisoners, and accepted with joy the seizure of your possessions, knowing that you yourselves have a better possession and one that remains.
…
37For yet a very little while, and the one who is coming will come and will not delay.
38But my righteous one will live by faith; and if he shrinks back, my soul takes no pleasure in him.
