Otherwise,ἐπεὶwould they notοὐκ ἂνhave ceasedἐπαύσαντοto be offered,προσφερόμεναιbecauseδιὰ τὸthe worshipers,τοὺς λατρεύονταςonceἅπαξpurified,κεκαθαρισμένουςwould haveἔχεινnoμηδεμίανconsciousnessσυνείδησινof sinsἁμαρτιῶνany longer?ἔτι
Butἀλλ’inἐνthemαὐταῖςthere isa reminderἀνάμνησιςof sinsἁμαρτιῶνyear after year.κατ’ ἐνιαυτόν
Forγὰρit isimpossibleἀδύνατονfor the bloodαἷμαof bullsταύρωνandκαὶgoatsτράγωνto take awayἀφαιρεῖνsins.ἁμαρτίας
Therefore,διὸwhen he comesεἰσερχόμενοςintoεἰςthe world,τὸν κόσμονhe says:λέγειSacrificeΘυσίανandκαὶofferingπροσφορὰνyou did notοὐκwant,ἠθέλησαςbutδὲa bodyσῶμαyou preparedκατηρτίσωfor me;μοι
you did notοὐκtake pleasureεὐδόκησαςin whole burnt offeringsὁλοκαυτώματαandκαὶofferings forπερὶsin.ἁμαρτίας
ThenτότεI said:εἶπονLook,ἸδοὺI have comeἥκω—inἐνthe scrollκεφαλίδιof the bookβιβλίουit is writtenγέγραπταιaboutπερὶme—ἐμοῦto do,τοῦ ποιῆσαιO God,ὁ θεόςyour will.τὸ θέλημά σου
When he saidλέγωνabove:ἀνώτερονSacrificesΘυσίαςandκαὶofferingsπροσφορὰςandκαὶwhole burnt offeringsὁλοκαυτώματαandκαὶofferings forπερὶsinἁμαρτίαςyou did notοὐκwant,ἠθέλησαςnorοὐδὲdid you take pleasure in themεὐδόκησας—theseαἵτινεςare offeredπροσφέρονταιaccording toκατὰthe law—νόμον

AndΚαὶeveryπᾶςpriestἱερεὺςstandsἕστηκενdailyκαθ’ ἡμέρανministeringλειτουργῶνandκαὶofferingπροσφέρωνmany timesπολλάκιςthe sameτὰς αὐτὰςsacrifices,θυσίαςwhichαἵτινεςcan neverοὐδέποτε δύνανταιremoveπεριελεῖνsins.ἁμαρτίας
butδὲthis one,οὗτοςhaving offeredπροσενέγκαςoneμίανsacrificeθυσίανforὑπὲρsinsἁμαρτιῶνfor all time,εἰς τὸ διηνεκὲςsat downἐκάθισενatἐνthe right handδεξιᾷof God,τοῦ θεοῦ
from then onτὸ λοιπὸνwaitingἐκδεχόμενοςuntilἕωςhis enemiesοἱ ἐχθροὶ αὐτοῦare madeτεθῶσινa footstoolὑποπόδιονfor his feet.τῶν ποδῶν αὐτοῦ
Forγὰρby oneμιᾷofferingπροσφορᾷhe has made perfectτετελείωκενfor all timeεἰς τὸ διηνεκὲςthose who are being sanctified.τοὺς ἁγιαζομένους
Andδὲthe Holyτὸ ἅγιονSpiritτὸ πνεῦμαalsoκαὶtestifiesμαρτυρεῖto us;ἡμῖνforγὰρafterμετὰsaying,τὸ εἰρηκέναι
ThisΑὕτηisthe covenantἡ διαθήκηthatἣνI will makeδιαθήσομαιwithπρὸςthemαὐτοὺςafterμετὰthose days,τὰς ἡμέρας ἐκείναςsaysλέγειthe Lord:κύριοςputtingδιδοὺςmy lawsνόμους μουonἐπὶtheir hearts,καρδίας αὐτῶνI will alsoκαὶwriteἐπιγράψωthemαὐτούςonἐπὶtheir mind,τὴν διάνοιαν αὐτῶν
he adds:Andκαὶtheir sinsτῶν ἁμαρτιῶν αὐτῶνandκαὶtheir lawless deedsτῶν ἀνομιῶν αὐτῶνI will neverοὐ μὴrememberμνησθήσομαιanymore.ἔτι
Nowδὲwhereὅπουthere isforgivenessἄφεσιςof these,τούτωνthere isno longerοὐκέτιan offeringπροσφορὰforπερὶsin.ἁμαρτίας
Therefore,οὖνbrothers,ἀδελφοίsince we haveἜχοντεςboldnessπαρρησίανforεἰςthe entranceτὴν εἴσοδονinto the Holy Placeτῶν ἁγίωνbyἐνthe bloodτῷ αἵματιof Jesus,Ἰησοῦ
whichἣνhe inauguratedἐνεκαίνισενfor usἡμῖνasa newπρόσφατονandκαὶlivingζῶσανwayὁδὸνthroughδιὰthe curtain,τοῦ καταπετάσματοςthat is,τοῦτ’ ἔστινhis flesh,τῆς σαρκὸς αὐτοῦ
andκαὶsince we havea greatμέγανpriestἱερέαoverἐπὶthe houseτὸν οἶκονof God,τοῦ θεοῦ
let us draw nearπροσερχώμεθαwithμετὰa trueἀληθινῆςheartκαρδίαςinἐνfull assuranceπληροφορίᾳof faith,πίστεωςour heartsτὰς καρδίαςsprinkled cleanῥεραντισμένοιfromἀπὸan evilπονηρᾶςconscienceσυνειδήσεωςandκαὶour bodyτὸ σῶμαwashedλελουσμένοιwith pureκαθαρῷwater.ὕδατι
Let us hold fastκατέχωμενthe confessionτὴν ὁμολογίανof our hopeτῆς ἐλπίδοςwithout wavering,ἀκλινῆforγὰρthe one who promisedὁ ἐπαγγειλάμενοςisfaithful.πιστὸς
Andκαὶlet us considerκατανοῶμενone anotherἀλλήλουςforεἰςthe stirring upπαροξυσμὸνof loveἀγάπηςandκαὶgoodκαλῶνworks,ἔργων
notμὴabandoningἐγκαταλείποντεςour ownἑαυτῶνgathering together,τὴν ἐπισυναγωγὴνasκαθὼςis the habitἔθοςof some,τισίνbutἀλλὰencouraging one another,παρακαλοῦντεςandκαὶall the moreτοσούτῳ μᾶλλονasὅσῳyou seeβλέπετεthe dayτὴν ἡμέρανcoming near.ἐγγίζουσαν
Forγὰρif weἡμῶνgo on sinningἁμαρτανόντωνdeliberatelyἙκουσίωςafterμετὰreceivingτὸ λαβεῖνthe knowledgeτὴν ἐπίγνωσινof the truth,τῆς ἀληθείαςthere no longerοὐκέτιremainsἀπολείπεταιa sacrificeθυσίαforπερὶsins,ἁμαρτιῶν
butδέa fearfulφοβερὰ τιςexpectationἐκδοχὴof judgment,κρίσεωςandκαὶa furyζῆλοςof fireπυρὸςthat willμέλλοντοςconsumeἐσθίεινthe adversaries.τοὺς ὑπεναντίους
Anyoneτιςwho has set asideἀθετήσαςthe lawνόμονof MosesΜωϋσέωςdiesἀποθνῄσκειwithoutχωρὶςcompassionοἰκτιρμῶνon the testimony ofἐπὶtwoδυσὶνorἢthreeτρισὶνwitnesses.μάρτυσιν
How muchπόσῳworseχείρονοςpunishmentτιμωρίαςdo you thinkδοκεῖτεwill be deservedἀξιωθήσεταιby the one whoὁhas trampled onκαταπατήσαςthe Sonτὸν υἱὸνof God,τοῦ θεοῦandκαὶhas regardedἡγησάμενοςas commonκοινὸνthe bloodτὸ αἷμαof the covenantτῆς διαθήκηςbyἐνwhichᾧhe was sanctified,ἡγιάσθηandκαὶhas insultedἐνυβρίσαςthe Spiritτὸ πνεῦμαof grace?τῆς χάριτος
Forγὰρwe knowοἴδαμενthe one who said:τὸν εἰπόνταVengeanceἐκδίκησιςbelongs to me;ἘμοὶIἐγὼwill repay.ἀνταποδώσωAndκαὶagain:πάλινThe Lordκύριοςwill judgeΚρινεῖhis people.τὸν λαὸν αὐτοῦ
It isa fearful thingφοβερὸνto fallτὸ ἐμπεσεῖνintoεἰςthe handsχεῖραςof the livingζῶντοςGod.θεοῦ
ButδὲrememberἈναμιμνῄσκεσθεthe earlierτὰς πρότερονdaysἡμέραςinἐνwhich,αἷςafter you had been enlightened,φωτισθέντεςyou enduredὑπεμείνατεa greatπολλὴνstruggleἄθλησινof sufferings,παθημάτων
sometimesτοῦτο μὲνbeing publicly exposedθεατριζόμενοιto reproachesὀνειδισμοῖςandτε καὶafflictions,θλίψεσινand sometimesτοῦτο δὲbecomingγενηθέντεςpartnersκοινωνοὶwith those whoτῶνwere treatedἀναστρεφομένωνthat way.οὕτως
Forγὰρyou indeedκαὶsympathized withσυνεπαθήσατεthe prisoners,τοῖς δεσμίοιςandκαὶacceptedπροσεδέξασθεwithμετὰjoyχαρᾶςthe seizureτὴν ἁρπαγὴνof your possessions,τῶν ὑπαρχόντων ὑμῶνknowingγινώσκοντεςthat you yourselvesἑαυτοὺςhaveἔχεινa betterκρείττοναpossessionὕπαρξινandκαὶone that remains.μένουσαν
Soοὖνdo notμὴthrow awayἀποβάλητεyour boldness,τὴν παρρησίαν ὑμῶνwhichἥτιςhasἔχειa greatμεγάληνrecompense.μισθαποδοσίαν
Forγὰρyou needἔχετε χρείανperseverance,ὑπομονῆςso that,ἵναhaving doneποιήσαντεςthe willτὸ θέλημαof God,τοῦ θεοῦyou may receiveκομίσησθεthe promise.τὴν ἐπαγγελίαν
Forγὰρyetἔτιa veryὅσον ὅσονlittle while,μικρὸνandthe one who is comingὁ ἐρχόμενοςwill comeἥξειandκαὶwill notοὐdelay.χρονίσει
Butδὲmy righteous oneὁ δίκαιός μουwill liveζήσεταιbyἐκfaith;πίστεωςandκαὶifἐὰνhe shrinks back,ὑποστείληταιmy soulἡ ψυχή μουtakes noοὐκpleasureεὐδοκεῖinἐνhim.αὐτῷ
Butδὲweἡμεῖςareἐσμὲνnotοὐκof those who shrink backὑποστολῆςtoεἰςdestruction,ἀπώλειανbutἀλλὰof those who have faithπίστεωςtoεἰςthe preservingπεριποίησινof the soul.ψυχῆς
