Forγὰρa tentσκηνὴwas prepared,κατεσκευάσθηthe first one,ἡ πρώτηinἐνwhichᾗwerethe lampstandἥ λυχνίαandτε καὶthe tableἡ τράπεζαandκαὶthe loavesτῶν ἄρτωνof presentation;ἡ πρόθεσιςthisἥτιςis calledλέγεταιthe Holy Place.Ἅγια
Andδὲbehindμετὰthe secondτὸ δεύτερονcurtainκαταπέτασμαwasa tentσκηνὴcalledἡ λεγομένηthe Most Holy Place,Ἅγια Ἁγίων
havingἔχουσαa goldenχρυσοῦνaltar of incenseθυμιατήριονandκαὶthe arkτὴν κιβωτὸνof the covenantτῆς διαθήκηςcoveredπερικεκαλυμμένηνon all sidesπάντοθενwith gold,χρυσίῳinἐνwhichᾗwerea goldenχρυσῆjarστάμνοςholdingἔχουσαthe manna,τὸ μάνναandκαὶAaron’sἈαρὼνstaffἡ ῥάβδοςthat budded,ἡ βλαστήσασαandκαὶthe tabletsαἱ πλάκεςof the covenant;τῆς διαθήκης
andδὲaboveὑπεράνωitαὐτῆςwerethe cherubimΧερουβὶνof gloryδόξηςovershadowingκατασκιάζονταthe cover of expiation;τὸ ἱλαστήριονaboutπερὶthese thingsὧνit is notοὐκ ἔστινthe timenowνῦνto speakλέγεινin detail.κατὰ μέρος
With these thingsΤούτωνthusοὕτωςprepared,κατεσκευασμένωνthe priestsοἱ ἱερεῖςgoεἰσίασινcontinuallyδιὰ παντὸςintoεἰςthe firstτὴν πρώτηνtentσκηνὴνperformingἐπιτελοῦντεςthe acts of worship;τὰς λατρείας
butδὲintoεἰςthe secondτὴν δευτέρανgoesonlyμόνοςthe high priest,ὁ ἀρχιερεύςonceἅπαξa year,τοῦ ἐνιαυτοῦnotοὐwithoutχωρὶςblood,αἵματοςwhichὃhe offersπροσφέρειforὑπὲρhimselfἑαυτοῦandκαὶfor the sins of ignoranceτῶν ἀγνοημάτωνof the people.τοῦ λαοῦ
The Holyτοῦ ἁγίουSpiritτοῦ πνεύματοςismakingδηλοῦντοςthisτοῦτοclear,δηλοῦντοςthat the wayτὴν ὁδὸνinto the Holy Placeτῶν ἁγίωνhas not yetμήπωbeen revealedπεφανερῶσθαιwhileἐχούσηςthe firstτῆς πρώτηςtentσκηνῆςstillἔτιhas its standing.στάσιν
Thisἥτιςisa symbolπαραβολὴforεἰςthe presentτὸν ἐνεστηκόταtime,τὸν καιρὸνaccording toκαθ’whichἣνgiftsδῶράandτε καὶsacrificesθυσίαιare offeredπροσφέρονταιthat cannotμὴ δυνάμεναιmakeτελειῶσαιthe worshiperτὸν λατρεύονταperfectτελειῶσαιwith respect toκατὰconscience,συνείδησιν
resting onlyμόνονonἐπὶfoodsβρώμασινandκαὶdrinksπόμασινandκαὶvariousδιαφόροιςimmersions,βαπτισμοῖςregulationsδικαιώματαfor the fleshσαρκὸςimposedἐπικείμεναuntilμέχριa timeκαιροῦof reformation.διορθώσεως
Butδὲwhen the MessiahΧριστὸςcameπαραγενόμενοςas high priestἀρχιερεὺςof the good thingsτῶν ἀγαθῶνthat have come,γενομένωνthroughδιὰthe greaterτῆς μείζονοςandκαὶmore perfectτελειοτέραςtent,σκηνῆςnotοὐmade with hands,χειροποιήτουthat is,τοῦτ’ ἔστινnotοὐof thisταύτηςcreation,τῆς κτίσεως
notοὐδὲthroughδι’the bloodαἵματοςof goatsτράγωνandκαὶcalves,μόσχωνbutδὲthroughδιὰhis ownτοῦ ἰδίουblood,αἵματοςhe enteredεἰσῆλθενonce for allἐφάπαξintoεἰςthe Holy Place,τὰ ἅγιαhaving obtainedεὑράμενοςeternalαἰωνίανredemption.λύτρωσιν
Forγὰρifεἰthe bloodτὸ αἷμαof goatsτράγωνandκαὶbulls,ταύρωνandκαὶthe ashesσποδὸςof a heiferδαμάλεωςsprinklingῥαντίζουσαthose who have been defiled,τοὺς κεκοινωμένουςsanctifyἁγιάζειforπρὸςthe cleannessτὴν καθαρότηταof the flesh,τῆς σαρκὸς
how muchπόσῳmoreμᾶλλονwillκαθαριεῖthe bloodτὸ αἷμαof the Messiah,τοῦ Χριστοῦwhoὃςthroughδιὰthe eternalαἰωνίουSpiritπνεύματοςofferedπροσήνεγκενhimselfἑαυτὸνwithout blemishἄμωμονto God,τῷ θεῷpurifyκαθαριεῖour conscienceτὴν συνείδησιν ἡμῶνfromἀπὸdeadνεκρῶνworksἔργωνtoεἰς τὸworshipλατρεύεινthe livingζῶντιGod!θεῷ
AndΚαὶfor this reasonδιὰ τοῦτοhe isἐστίνthe mediatorμεσίτηςof a newκαινῆςcovenant,διαθήκηςso that,ὅπωςsince a deathθανάτουhas occurredγενομένουforεἰςthe redemptionἀπολύτρωσινof the transgressionsτῶν παραβάσεωνunderἐπὶthe firstτῇ πρώτῃcovenant,διαθήκῃthose who have been calledοἱ κεκλημένοιmay receiveλάβωσινthe promiseτὴν ἐπαγγελίανof the eternalτῆς αἰωνίουinheritance.κληρονομίας
Forγὰρwhereὅπουthere isa covenant,διαθήκηthe deathθάνατονof the one who made itτοῦ διαθεμένουmustἀνάγκηbe established.φέρεσθαι
Forγὰρa covenantδιαθήκηisfirmβεβαίαatἐπὶdeath,νεκροῖςsinceἐπεὶit is neverμήποτεin forceἰσχύειwhileὅτεthe one who made itὁ διαθέμενοςis alive.ζῇ
Thereforeὅθενnot evenοὐδὲthe first covenantἡ πρώτηhas been inauguratedἐγκεκαίνισταιwithoutχωρὶςblood.αἵματος
Forγὰρwhen everyπάσηςcommandmentἐντολῆςaccording toκατὰthe lawτὸν νόμονhad been spokenλαληθείσηςbyὑπὸMosesΜωϋσέωςto allπαντὶthe people,τῷ λαῷhe tookλαβὼνthe bloodτὸ αἷμαof the calvesτῶν μόσχωνwithμετὰwaterὕδατοςandκαὶscarletκοκκίνουwoolἐρίουandκαὶhyssop,ὑσσώπουand sprinkledἐράντισενbothτεthe bookτὸ βιβλίονitselfαὐτόandκαὶallπάνταthe people,τὸν λαὸν
saying:λέγωνThisΤοῦτοisthe bloodτὸ αἷμαof the covenantτῆς διαθήκηςthatἧςGodὁ θεόςcommandedἐνετείλατοforπρὸςyou.ὑμᾶς
Andκαὶin the same wayὁμοίωςhe sprinkledἐράντισενwith the bloodτῷ αἵματιthe tentτὴν σκηνὴνandκαὶallπάνταthe vesselsτὰ σκεύηof the ministry.τῆς λειτουργίας
Andκαὶaccording toκατὰthe lawτὸν νόμονalmostσχεδὸνeverythingπάνταis purifiedκαθαρίζεταιwithἐνblood,αἵματιandκαὶwithoutχωρὶςthe shedding of bloodαἱματεκχυσίαςthere isγίνεταιnoοὐforgiveness.ἄφεσις
It wasnecessary,Ἀνάγκηthen,οὖνfor the copiesτὰ ὑποδείγματαof the thingsτῶνinἐνthe heavensτοῖς οὐρανοῖςto be purifiedκαθαρίζεσθαιwith these rites,τούτοιςbutδὲthe heavenly thingsτὰ ἐπουράνιαthemselvesαὐτὰwith betterκρείττοσιsacrificesθυσίαιςthanπαρὰthese.ταύτας
Forγὰρthe MessiahΧριστόςdid notοὐenterεἰσῆλθενintoεἰςa holy placeἅγιαmade with hands,χειροποίηταa copyἀντίτυπαof the true one,τῶν ἀληθινῶνbutἀλλ’intoεἰςheavenτὸν οὐρανόνitself,αὐτὸνnowνῦνto appearἐμφανισθῆναιin the presenceτῷ προσώπῳof Godτοῦ θεοῦon our behalf;ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν
norοὐδ’did he entertoἵναofferπροσφέρῃhimselfἑαυτόνmany times,πολλάκιςasὥσπερthe high priestὁ ἀρχιερεὺςentersεἰσέρχεταιintoεἰςthe Holy Placeτὰ ἅγιαeveryκατ’yearἐνιαυτὸνwithἐνbloodαἵματιnot his own,ἀλλοτρίῳ
for thenἐπεὶit would have been necessaryἔδειfor himαὐτὸνto sufferπαθεῖνmany timesπολλάκιςsinceἀπὸthe foundationκαταβολῆςof the world;κόσμουbutδὲnowνυνὶonceἅπαξatἐπὶthe endσυντελείᾳof the agesτῶν αἰώνωνhe has been revealedπεφανέρωταιforεἰςthe setting asideἀθέτησινof sinἁμαρτίαςbyδιὰhis sacrifice.τῆς θυσίας αὐτοῦ
Andκαὶjust asκαθ’ ὅσονit is appointedἀπόκειταιfor human beingsτοῖς ἀνθρώποιςto dieἀποθανεῖνonce,ἅπαξandδὲafterμετὰthisτοῦτοjudgment,κρίσις
soοὕτωςalsoκαὶthe Messiah,ὁ Χριστόςhaving been offeredπροσενεχθεὶςonceἅπαξtoεἰς τὸbearἀνενεγκεῖνthe sinsἁμαρτίαςof many,πολλῶνwill appearὀφθήσεταιa second time,ἐκ δευτέρουwithoutχωρὶςreference tosin,ἁμαρτίαςto those whoτοῖςeagerly awaitἀπεκδεχομένοιςhim,αὐτὸνforεἰςsalvation.σωτηρίαν
