Mark 14:60–62
Before the high priest, Jesus answers “I am” and speaks of the Son of Man
Study it word by word60And the high priest stood up in the middle and questioned Jesus, saying, “Do you not answer anything? What is it that these men are testifying against you?”
61But he was silent and did not answer anything. Again the high priest was questioning him and says to him, “Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?”
62And Jesus said, “I am; and you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power and coming with the clouds of heaven.”
In its context
58“We heard him saying, ‘I will destroy this sanctuary made with hands, and in three days I will build another, not made with hands.’”
59And not even so was their testimony consistent.
…
63And the high priest, tearing his garments, says, “What further need do we have of witnesses?
64You heard the blasphemy; what does it seem to you?” And they all condemned him as deserving death.
