Psalms 119:97–104
“How I love your instruction!” His commandments make the psalmist wise
Study it word by word97How I love your instruction! All the day it is my meditation.
98Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies, for forever they are with me.
99I have more insight than all my teachers, for your testimonies are my meditation.
100I understand more than the elders, for your precepts I have guarded.
101From every evil path I have held back my feet, so that I may keep your word.
102From your rules I have not turned away, for you have instructed me.
103How sweet is your saying to my palate, more than honey to my mouth!
104From your precepts I gain understanding; therefore I hate every path of lying.
In its context
95The wicked have waited for me to destroy me; your testimonies I consider.
96Of all perfection I have seen an end; your commandment is exceedingly broad.
…
105A lamp to my feet is your word, and a light to my pathway.
106I have sworn and I will fulfill it, to keep your righteous rules.
