Romans 8:35–39
Neither affliction nor danger nor anything created separates us from God’s love in the Messiah
Study it word by word35Who will separate us from the love of the Messiah? Affliction, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?
36As it is written: For your sake we are being put to death all the day; we were counted as sheep for slaughter.
37But in all these things we more than conquer through him who loved us.
38For I am convinced that neither death nor life nor angels nor rulers nor things present nor things to come nor powers,
39nor height nor depth nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in the Messiah Jesus our Lord.
In its context
33Who will bring a charge against God’s chosen ones? God is the one who declares righteous.
34Who is the one who will condemn? The Messiah is the one who died, and more than that, was raised, who is also at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.
