Forγὰρwhat was impossibleτὸ ἀδύνατονfor the law,τοῦ νόμουinἐνthatᾧit was weakἠσθένειthroughδιὰthe flesh,τῆς σαρκόςGodὁ θεὸςdid:sendingπέμψαςhis ownτὸν ἑαυτοῦSonυἱὸνinἐνthe likenessὁμοιώματιof fleshσαρκὸςof sinἁμαρτίαςandκαὶon account ofπερὶsin,ἁμαρτίαςhe condemnedκατέκρινεsinτὴν ἁμαρτίανinἐνthe flesh,τῇ σαρκί
so thatἵναthe righteous requirementτὸ δικαίωμαof the lawτοῦ νόμουmight be fulfilledπληρωθῇinἐνus,ἡμῖνwhoτοῖςwalkπεριπατοῦσινnotμὴaccording toκατὰthe fleshσάρκαbutἀλλὰaccording toκατὰthe Spirit.πνεῦμα
Forγὰρthose whoοἱareὄντεςaccording toκατὰthe fleshσάρκαset their minds onφρονοῦσινthe thingsτὰof the flesh,τῆς σαρκὸςbutδὲthose who areοἱaccording toκατὰthe Spirit,πνεῦμαthe thingsτὰof the Spirit.τοῦ πνεύματος
Forγὰρthe mindsetτὸ φρόνημαof the fleshτῆς σαρκὸςisdeath,θάνατοςbutδὲthe mindsetτὸ φρόνημαof the Spiritτοῦ πνεύματοςislifeζωὴandκαὶpeace;εἰρήνη
becauseδιότιthe mindsetτὸ φρόνημαof the fleshτῆς σαρκὸςishostilityἔχθραtowardεἰςGod,θεόνforγὰρit does notοὐχsubmitὑποτάσσεταιto the lawτῷ νόμῳof God,τοῦ θεοῦnorοὐδὲindeedγὰρcan it;δύναται
andδὲthose whoοἱareὄντεςinἐνthe fleshσαρκὶcannotοὐ δύνανταιpleaseἀρέσαιGod.θεῷ
ButδὲyouὙμεῖςareἐστὲnotοὐκinἐνthe fleshσαρκὶbutἀλλὰinἐνthe Spirit,πνεύματιif indeedεἴπερthe Spiritπνεῦμαof Godθεοῦdwellsοἰκεῖinἐνyou.ὑμῖνAndδέifεἰanyoneτιςdoes notοὐκhaveἔχειthe Spiritπνεῦμαof the Messiah,Χριστοῦthis personοὗτοςis notοὐκ ἔστινhis.αὐτοῦ
Butδὲifεἰthe MessiahΧριστὸςisinἐνyou,ὑμῖνthe bodyτὸ σῶμαisdeadνεκρὸνbecause ofδιὰsin,ἁμαρτίανbutδὲthe spiritτὸ πνεῦμαislifeζωὴbecause ofδιὰrighteousness.δικαιοσύνην
Andδὲifεἰthe Spiritτὸ πνεῦμαof him whoτοῦraisedἐγείραντοςJesusτὸν Ἰησοῦνfromἐκthe deadνεκρῶνdwellsοἰκεῖinἐνyou,ὑμῖνhe whoὁraisedἐγείραςthe MessiahΧριστὸνJesusἸησοῦνfromἐκthe deadνεκρῶνwill give lifeζῳοποιήσειalsoκαὶto your mortalτὰ θνητὰ ὑμῶνbodiesσώματαbecause ofδιὰhisαὐτοῦSpiritτὸ πνεῦμαwho dwellsἐνοικοῦνinἐνyou.ὑμῖν
SoἌραthen,οὖνbrothers,ἀδελφοίwe areἐσμένdebtors,ὀφειλέταιnotοὐto the flesh,τῇ σαρκὶto liveτοῦ ζῆνaccording toκατὰthe flesh.σάρκα
Forγὰρifεἰyou liveζῆτεaccording toκατὰthe flesh,σάρκαyou are goingμέλλετεto die;ἀποθνῄσκεινbutδὲifεἰby the Spiritπνεύματιyou put to deathθανατοῦτεthe deedsτὰς πράξειςof the body,τοῦ σώματοςyou will live.ζήσεσθε
Forγὰρall whoὅσοιare ledἄγονταιby the Spiritπνεύματιof God,θεοῦtheseοὗτοιareεἰσινsonsυἱοίof God.θεοῦ
Forγὰρyou did notοὐreceiveἐλάβετεa spiritπνεῦμαof slaveryδουλείαςleadingagainπάλινtoεἰςfear,φόβονbutἀλλὰyou receivedἐλάβετεa spiritπνεῦμαof adoption as sons,υἱοθεσίαςbyἐνwhichᾧwe cry out,κράζομενAbba,ΑββαFather.ὁ πατήρ
The Spiritτὸ πνεῦμαhimselfαὐτὸtestifies withσυμμαρτυρεῖour spiritτῷ πνεύματι ἡμῶνthatὅτιwe areἐσμὲνchildrenτέκναof God,θεοῦ
andδὲifεἰchildren,τέκναalsoκαὶheirs:κληρονόμοιheirsκληρονόμοιof Godθεοῦandδὲfellow heirsσυγκληρονόμοιof the Messiah,Χριστοῦif indeedεἴπερwe suffer with himσυμπάσχομενso thatἵναwe may alsoκαὶbe glorified with him.συνδοξασθῶμεν
ForγὰρI considerΛογίζομαιthatὅτιthe sufferingsτὰ παθήματαof the presentτοῦ νῦνtimeκαιροῦare notοὐκworthy to be comparedἄξιαwithπρὸςthe gloryτὴν δόξανthat is goingμέλλουσανto be revealedἀποκαλυφθῆναιtoεἰςus.ἡμᾶς
Forγὰρthe eager expectationἡ ἀποκαραδοκίαof the creationτῆς κτίσεωςwaits forἀπεκδέχεταιthe revelationτὴν ἀποκάλυψινof the sonsτῶν υἱῶνof God.τοῦ θεοῦ
Forγὰρthe creationἡ κτίσιςwas subjectedὑπετάγηto futility,τῇ ματαιότητιnotοὐχwillingly,ἑκοῦσαbutἀλλὰbecause ofδιὰthe one whoτὸνsubjected it,ὑποτάξανταinἐφ’hopeἑλπίδι
thatὅτιthe creationἡ κτίσιςitselfαὐτὴalsoκαὶwill be set freeἐλευθερωθήσεταιfromἀπὸthe slaveryτῆς δουλείαςof corruptionτῆς φθορᾶςintoεἰςthe freedomτὴν ἐλευθερίανof the gloryτῆς δόξηςof the childrenτῶν τέκνωνof God.τοῦ θεοῦ
Forγὰρwe knowοἴδαμενthatὅτιthe wholeπᾶσαcreationἡ κτίσιςgroans togetherσυστενάζειandκαὶsuffers birth pains togetherσυνωδίνειuntilἄχριnow;τοῦ νῦν
andδέnotοὐonlyμόνονthat,butἀλλὰalsoκαὶwe ourselves,αὐτοὶhavingἔχοντεςthe firstfruitsτὴν ἀπαρχὴνof the Spirit,τοῦ πνεύματοςweἡμεῖςalsoκαὶourselvesαὐτοὶgroanστενάζομενwithinἐνourselves,ἑαυτοῖςeagerly awaitingἀπεκδεχόμενοιadoption as sons,υἱοθεσίανthe redemptionτὴν ἀπολύτρωσινof our body.τοῦ σώματος ἡμῶν
Forγὰρin hopeτῇ ἐλπίδιwe were saved;ἐσώθημενbutδὲhopeἐλπὶςthat is seenβλεπομένηis notοὐκ ἔστινhope;ἐλπίςforγὰρwhoτίςhopes forἐλπίζειwhatὃhe sees?βλέπει
Butδὲifεἰwe hope forἐλπίζομενwhatὃwe do notοὐsee,βλέπομενwe wait eagerly for itἀπεκδεχόμεθαwithδι’perseverance.ὑπομονῆς
AndδὲlikewiseὩσαύτωςthe Spiritτὸ πνεῦμαalsoκαὶhelpsσυναντιλαμβάνεταιour weakness;τῇ ἀσθενείᾳ ἡμῶνforγὰρwe do notοὐκknowοἴδαμενwhatτὸ τίwe should pray forπροσευξώμεθαasκαθὸwe ought,δεῖbutἀλλὰthe Spiritτὸ πνεῦμαhimselfαὐτὸintercedesὑπερεντυγχάνειwith groaningsστεναγμοῖςthat cannot be uttered.ἀλαλήτοις
Andδὲhe whoὁsearchesἐραυνῶνthe heartsτὰς καρδίαςknowsοἶδενwhatτίthe mindsetτὸ φρόνημαof the Spiritτοῦ πνεύματοςis,becauseὅτιhe intercedesἐντυγχάνειforὑπὲρthe saintsἁγίωνaccording toκατὰGod.θεὸν
Andδὲwe knowΟἴδαμενthatὅτιfor those whoτοῖςloveἀγαπῶσιGodτὸν θεὸνall thingsπάνταwork togetherσυνεργεῖforεἰςgood,ἀγαθόνfor those whoτοῖςareοὖσινcalledκλητοῖςaccording toκατὰhispurpose.πρόθεσιν
becauseὅτιthose whomοὓςhe foreknewπροέγνωhe alsoκαὶdestined beforehandπροώρισενto beconformedσυμμόρφουςto the imageτῆς εἰκόνοςof his Son,τοῦ υἱοῦ αὐτοῦso thatεἰς τὸheαὐτὸνmight beεἶναιthe firstbornπρωτότοκονamongἐνmanyπολλοῖςbrothers;ἀδελφοῖς
andδὲthose whomοὓςhe destined beforehand,προώρισενtheseτούτουςhe alsoκαὶcalled;ἐκάλεσενandκαὶthose whomοὓςhe called,ἐκάλεσενtheseτούτουςhe alsoκαὶdeclared righteous;ἐδικαίωσενandδὲthose whomοὓςhe declared righteous,ἐδικαίωσενtheseτούτουςhe alsoκαὶglorified.ἐδόξασεν
WhatΤίthenοὖνshall we sayἐροῦμενtoπρὸςthese things?ταῦταIfεἰGodὁ θεὸςisforὑπὲρus,ἡμῶνwhoτίςisagainstκαθ’us?ἡμῶν
He whoὅςindeedγεdid notοὐκspareἐφείσατοhis ownτοῦ ἰδίουSonυἱοῦbutἀλλὰhanded him overπαρέδωκεν αὐτόνforὑπὲρusἡμῶνall,πάντωνhowπῶςwill he notοὐχὶalsoκαὶwithσὺνhimαὐτῷfreely giveχαρίσεταιusἡμῖνall things?τὰ πάντα
Whoτίςwill bring a chargeἐγκαλέσειagainstκατὰGod’sθεοῦchosen ones?ἐκλεκτῶνGodθεὸςisthe one whoὁdeclares righteous.δικαιῶν
Whoτίςisthe one whoὁwill condemn?κατακρινῶνThe MessiahΧριστὸςisthe one whoὁdied,ἀποθανώνand more than that,μᾶλλον δὲwas raised,ἐγερθείςwhoὅςisἐστινalsoκαίatἐνthe right handδεξιᾷof God,τοῦ θεοῦwhoὃςalsoκαὶintercedesἐντυγχάνειforὑπὲρus.ἡμῶν
Whoτίςwill separateχωρίσειusἡμᾶςfromἀπὸthe loveτῆς ἀγάπηςof the Messiah?τοῦ ΧριστοῦAffliction,θλῖψιςorἢdistress,στενοχωρίαorἢpersecution,διωγμὸςorἢfamine,λιμὸςorἢnakedness,γυμνότηςorἢdanger,κίνδυνοςorἢsword?μάχαιρα
Asκαθὼςit is written:γέγραπταιFor your sakeἝνεκεν σοῦwe are being put to deathθανατούμεθαallὅληνthe day;τὴν ἡμέρανwe were countedἐλογίσθημενasὡςsheepπρόβαταfor slaughter.σφαγῆς
Butἀλλ’inἐνallπᾶσινthese thingsτούτοιςwe more than conquerὑπερνικῶμενthroughδιὰhim whoτοῦlovedἀγαπήσαντοςus.ἡμᾶς
ForγὰρI am convincedπέπεισμαιthatὅτιneitherοὔτεdeathθάνατοςnorοὔτεlifeζωὴnorοὔτεangelsἄγγελοιnorοὔτεrulersἀρχαὶnorοὔτεthings presentἐνεστῶταnorοὔτεthings to comeμέλλονταnorοὔτεpowers,δυνάμεις
norοὔτεheightὕψωμαnorοὔτεdepthβάθοςnorοὔτεanyτιςotherἑτέραcreated thingκτίσιςwill be ableδυνήσεταιto separateχωρίσαιusἡμᾶςfromἀπὸthe loveτῆς ἀγάπηςof Godτοῦ θεοῦthat isτῆςinἐνthe MessiahΧριστῷJesusἸησοῦour Lord.τῷ κυρίῳ ἡμῶν
