Titus 2:11–14
While we wait for his appearing, grace teaches us to live with self-control and justice
Study it word by word11For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people,
12training us that, having denied ungodliness and worldly desires, we may live sensibly and justly and godly in the present age,
13awaiting the happy hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus the Messiah,
14who gave himself for us so that he might redeem us from all lawlessness and purify for himself a people of his own, zealous for good works.
In its context
9Slaves are to be submissive to their own masters in everything, to be pleasing, not talking back,
10not pilfering, but showing all good faithfulness, so that they may adorn the teaching of God our Savior in all things.
…
15Speak these things, and exhort and rebuke with all authority. Let no one disregard you.
