Insolenceזָדוֹןcomes,בָּאand disgraceוַ קָלוֹןcomes;יָּבֹאbutוְwithאֶתthe modestצְנוּעִיםis wisdom.חָכְמָה
The integrityתֻּמַּתof the uprightיְשָׁרִיםguides them,תַּנְחֵםbut the crookednessוְסֶלֶףof the treacherousבּוֹגְדִיםdestroys them.יְשָׁדֵּם
Wealthהוֹןdoes notלֹאprofitיוֹעִילin the dayבְּיוֹםof fury,עֶבְרָהbut righteousnessוּצְדָקָהdeliversתַּצִּילfrom death.מִמָּוֶת
The righteousnessצִדְקַתof the blamelessתָּמִיםmakesתְּיַשֵּׁרhis wayדַּרְכּוֹstraight,תְּיַשֵּׁרbut by his wickednessוּבְרִשְׁעָתוֹthe wickedרָשָׁעwill fall.יִפֹּל
The righteousnessצִדְקַתof the uprightיְשָׁרִיםwill deliver them,תַּצִּילֵםbut by the cravingוּבְהַוַּתof the treacherousבֹּגְדִיםthey will be caught.יִלָּכֵדוּ
Whenבְּa wickedרָשָׁעmanאָדָםdies,מוֹתhis hopeתִּקְוָהperishes,תֹּאבַדand the expectationוְתוֹחֶלֶתof vigorאוֹנִיםperishes.אָבָדָה
The righteousצַדִּיקis deliveredנֶחֱלָץfrom distress,מִצָּרָהand the wickedוַ רָשָׁעcomesיָּבֹאin his place.תַּחְתָּיו
With his mouthבְּפֶהthe godlessחָנֵףdestroysיַשְׁחִתhis neighbor,רֵעֵהוּbut by knowledgeוּבְדַעַתthe righteousצַדִּיקִיםare delivered.יֵחָלֵצוּ
At the prosperityבְּטוּבof the righteousצַדִּיקִיםthe cityקִרְיָהrejoices,תַּעֲלֹץand whenוּבַthe wickedרְשָׁעִיםperish,אֲבֹדthere are shouts of joy.רִנָּה
By the blessingבְּבִרְכַּתof the uprightיְשָׁרִיםa cityקָרֶתis exalted,תָּרוּםbut by the mouthוּבְפִיof the wickedרְשָׁעִיםit is torn down.תֵּהָרֵס
Whoever despisesבָּזhis neighborלְרֵעֵהוּis lackingחֲסַרin sense,לֵבbut a manוְאִישׁof insightתְּבוּנוֹתkeeps silent.יַחֲרִישׁ
One who goes aboutהוֹלֵךְas a gossipרָכִילrevealsמְגַלֶּהa secret,סּוֹדbut one who is faithfulוְנֶאֱמַןin spiritרוּחַcoversמְכַסֶּהa matter.דָבָר
Where there is noבְּאֵיןguidance,תַּחְבֻּלוֹתa peopleעָםfalls,יִפָּלbut there is salvationוּתְשׁוּעָהin an abundanceבְּרֹבof counselors.יוֹעֵץ
It will goיֵרוֹעַbadlyרַעfor one whoכִּיbecomes suretyעָרַבfor a stranger,זָרbut whoever hatesוְשֹׂנֵאstriking palmsתֹקְעִיםis secure.בּוֹטֵחַ
A graciousחֵןwomanאֵשֶׁתholds fastתִּתְמֹךְto honor,כָּבוֹדand tyrantsוְעָרִיצִיםhold fastיִתְמְכוּto riches.עֹשֶׁר
A manאִישׁof loyal loveחָסֶדdoes goodגֹּמֵלto his soul,נַפְשׁוֹbut the cruel manוְ אַכְזָרִיtroublesעֹכֵרhis body.שְׁאֵרוֹ
The wickedרָשָׁעearnsעֹשֶׂהwagesפְעֻלַּתof falsehood,שָׁקֶרbut whoever sowsוְזֹרֵעַrighteousnessצְדָקָהhas a trueאֱמֶתreward.שֶׂכֶר
Soכֵּןrighteousnessצְדָקָהleads to life,לְחַיִּיםand whoever pursuesוּמְרַדֵּףevilרָעָהgoes to his death.לְמוֹתוֹ
An abominationתּוֹעֲבַתto YHWHיְהוָהare the crookedעִקְּשֵׁיof heart,לֵבbutוּthe blamelessתְּמִימֵיin their wayדָרֶךְare his pleasure.רְצוֹנוֹ
Handיָדto hand,לְיָדthe evil manרָּעwill notלֹאgo unpunished,יִנָּקֶהbut the offspringוְזֶרַעof the righteousצַדִּיקִיםwill escape.נִמְלָט
A ringנֶזֶםof goldזָהָבin the snoutבְּאַףof a pig,חֲזִירso is a beautifulיָפָהwomanאִשָּׁהwho turns awayוְסָרַתfrom judgment.טָעַם
The desireתַּאֲוַתof the righteousצַדִּיקִיםis onlyאַךְgood;טוֹבthe hopeתִּקְוַתof the wickedרְשָׁעִיםis fury.עֶבְרָה
There isיֵשׁone who scattersמְפַזֵּרand gainsוְנוֹסָףeven more,עוֹדand one who withholdsוְחוֹשֵׂךְmore than is rightמִיֹּשֶׁרcomes onlyאַךְto need.לְמַחְסוֹר
A soulנֶפֶשׁof blessingבְּרָכָהwill be filled to the full,תְדֻשָּׁןand one who watersוּמַרְוֶהwill alsoגַּםhimselfהוּאbe watered.יוֹרֶא
Whoever withholdsמֹנֵעַgrain,בָּרthe peopleלְאוֹםwill curse him,יִקְּבֻהוּbut blessingוּבְרָכָהis on the headלְרֹאשׁof the one who sells it.מַשְׁבִּיר
Whoever eagerly seeksשֹׁחֵרgoodטוֹבseeksיְבַקֵּשׁfavor,רָצוֹןbut whoever searches forוְדֹרֵשׁevil,רָעָהit will come to him.תְבוֹאֶנּוּ
Whoever trustsבּוֹטֵחַin his riches,בְּעָשְׁרוֹheהוּאwill fall,יִפֹּלbut like foliageוְכֶעָלֶהthe righteousצַדִּיקִיםwill flourish.יִפְרָחוּ
Whoever troublesעוֹכֵרhis householdבֵּיתוֹwill inheritיִנְחַלwind,רוּחַand the foolוְ אֱוִילwill be a slaveעֶבֶדto the wiseלַחֲכַםof heart.לֵב
The fruitפְּרִיof the righteousצַדִּיקis a treeעֵץof life,חַיִּיםand one who winsוְלֹקֵחַsoulsנְפָשׂוֹתis wise.חָכָם
Look,הֵןthe righteousצַדִּיקis repaidיְשֻׁלָּםon the earth;בָּאָרֶץhow much moreאַף כִּיthe wickedרָשָׁעand the sinner!וְחוֹטֵא
