A manאָדָםis notלֹאestablishedיִכּוֹןby wickedness,בְּרֶשַׁעbut the rootוְשֹׁרֶשׁof the righteousצַדִּיקִיםwill notבַּלbe moved.יִמּוֹט
A womanאֵשֶׁתof worthחַיִלis the crownעֲטֶרֶתof her husband,בַּעְלָהּbut like rotוּכְרָקָבin his bonesבְּעַצְמוֹתָיוis she who brings shame.מְבִישָׁה
The thoughtsמַחְשְׁבוֹתof the righteousצַדִּיקִיםare justice;מִשְׁפָּטthe guidanceתַּחְבֻּלוֹתof the wickedרְשָׁעִיםis deceit.מִרְמָה
The wordsדִּבְרֵיof the wickedרְשָׁעִיםare lying in waitאֱרָבfor blood,דָּםbut the mouthוּפִיof the uprightיְשָׁרִיםwill deliver them.יַצִּילֵם
The wickedרְשָׁעִיםare overthrownהָפוֹךְand are no more,וְאֵינָםbut the houseוּבֵיתof the righteousצַדִּיקִיםwill stand.יַעֲמֹד
According to his prudenceלְפִי שִׂכְלוֹa manאִישׁis praised,יְהֻלַּלbut one twistedוְנַעֲוֵהof heartלֵבwill beיִהְיֶהan object of contempt.לָבוּז
Betterטוֹבis one lightly esteemedנִקְלֶהwho has a slaveוְעֶבֶד לוֹthan one who acts importantמִמְּתַכַּבֵּדand lacksוַחֲסַרbread.לָחֶם
The righteousצַדִּיקknowsיוֹדֵעַthe soulנֶפֶשׁof his livestock,בְּהֶמְתּוֹbut the merciesוְרַחֲמֵיof the wickedרְשָׁעִיםare cruel.אַכְזָרִי
Whoever worksעֹבֵדhis groundאַדְמָתוֹwill be satisfiedיִשְׂבַּעwith bread,לָחֶםbut whoever pursuesוּמְרַדֵּףempty thingsרֵיקִיםis lackingחֲסַרin sense.לֵב
The wickedרָשָׁעdesiresחָמַדthe netמְצוֹדof evil men,רָעִיםbut the rootוְשֹׁרֶשׁof the righteousצַדִּיקִיםgives fruit.יִתֵּן
In the transgressionבְּפֶשַׁעof the lipsשְׂפָתַיִםis the snareמוֹקֵשׁof the evil man,רָעbut the righteousצַדִּיקcomes outוַיֵּצֵאof distress.מִצָּרָה
From the fruitמִפְּרִיof the mouthפִיof a manאִישׁhe will be satisfiedיִשְׂבַּעwith good,טוֹבand the repaymentוּגְמוּלof the handsיְדֵיof a manאָדָםwill be returned to him.יָשִׁיב לוֹ
The wayדֶּרֶךְof a foolאֱוִילis rightיָשָׁרin his eyes,בְּעֵינָיוbut whoever listensוְשֹׁמֵעַto counselלְעֵצָהis wise.חָכָם
A fool:אֱוִילhis vexationכַּעְסוֹis knownיִוָּדַעon that very day,בַּיּוֹםbut the shrewd manוְ עָרוּםcoversכֹסֶהdisgrace.קָלוֹן
Whoever uttersיָפִיחַfaithfulnessאֱמוּנָהdeclaresיַגִּידrighteousness,צֶדֶקbut a witnessוְעֵדof lies,שְׁקָרִיםdeceit.מִרְמָה
There isיֵשׁone who speaks rashlyבּוֹטֶהlike the thrustsכְּמַדְקְרוֹתof a sword,חָרֶבbut the tongueוּלְשׁוֹןof the wiseחֲכָמִיםis healing.מַרְפֵּא
The lipשְׂפַתof truthאֱמֶתstands firmתִּכּוֹןforever,לָעַדbutוְa tongueלְשׁוֹןof falsehood,שָׁקֶרfor a moment.עַד אַרְגִּיעָה
Deceitמִרְמָהis in the heartבְּלֶבof those who plotחֹרְשֵׁיevil,רָעbut for those who counselוּלְיֹעֲצֵיpeace,שָׁלוֹםjoy.שִׂמְחָה
Noלֹא כָּלwickednessאָוֶןwill befallיְאֻנֶּהthe righteous,לַצַּדִּיקbut the wickedוּרְשָׁעִיםare fullמָלְאוּof evil.רָע
An abominationתּוֹעֲבַתto YHWHיְהוָהare lipsשִׂפְתֵיof falsehood,שָׁקֶרbut those who practiceוְעֹשֵׂיfaithfulnessאֱמוּנָהare his pleasure.רְצוֹנוֹ
A shrewdעָרוּםmanאָדָםcoversכֹּסֶהknowledge,דָּעַתbut the heartוְלֵבof the senselessכְּסִילִיםproclaimsיִקְרָאfolly.אִוֶּלֶת
The handיַדof the diligentחָרוּצִיםwill rule,תִּמְשׁוֹל וbut slacknessרְמִיָּהwill beתִּהְיֶהfor forced labor.לָמַס
Anxietyדְּאָגָהin the heartבְלֶבof a manאִישׁweighs it down,יַשְׁחֶנָּהbut a goodטוֹבwordוְדָבָרmakes it glad.יְשַׂמְּחֶנָּה
The righteousצַדִּיקguidesיָתֵרhis neighbor,מֵרֵעֵהוּbut the wayוְדֶרֶךְof the wickedרְשָׁעִיםleads them astray.תַּתְעֵם
Slacknessרְמִיָּהdoes notלֹאroastיַחֲרֹךְits game,צֵידוֹbut the preciousיָקָרwealthוְהוֹןof a manאָדָםis the diligent one.חָרוּץ
