The heavensשָׁמַיִםfor height,לָרוּםand the earthוָאָרֶץfor depth,לָעֹמֶקandוְthe heartלֵבof kingsמְלָכִיםare beyondאֵיןsearching.חֵקֶר
Removeהָגוֹthe drossסִיגִיםfrom the silver,מִכָּסֶףandוַa vesselכֶּלִיwill come outיֵּצֵאfor the refiner;לַצֹּרֵף
removeהָגוֹthe wickedרָשָׁעfrom beforeלִפְנֵיthe king,מֶלֶךְandוְhis throneכִּסְאוֹwill be establishedיִכּוֹןin righteousness.בַּצֶּדֶק
Do notאַלput yourself forwardתִּתְהַדַּרbeforeלִפְנֵיthe king,מֶלֶךְandוּin the placeבִמְקוֹםof the greatגְּדֹלִיםdo notאַלstand;תַּעֲמֹד
forכִּיit is betterטוֹבto be told,אֲמָר לְךָ“Come upעֲלֵהhere,”הֵנָּהthan to be humbledמֵהַשְׁפִּילְךָbeforeלִפְנֵיa nobleנָדִיבwhomאֲשֶׁרyour eyesעֵינֶיךָhave seen.רָאוּ
Do notאַלgo outתֵּצֵאto courtלָרִבhastily,מַהֵרlest—פֶּןwhatמַהwill you doתַּעֲשֶׂהin the end of it,בְּאַחֲרִיתָהּwhen your neighborרֵעֶךָputs you to shame?בְּהַכְלִים אֹתְךָ
Pleadרִיבyour caseרִיבְךָwithאֶתyour neighbor,רֵעֶךָandוְdo notאַלrevealתְּגָלanother’sאַחֵרsecret;סוֹד
lestפֶּןhe who hears itשֹׁמֵעַput you to shame,יְחַסֶּדְךָandוְthe slander against youדִבָּתְךָnotלֹאgo away.תָשׁוּב
Applesתַּפּוּחֵיof goldזָהָבin settingsבְּמַשְׂכִּיּוֹתof silverכָּסֶףis a wordדָּבָרspokenדָּבֻרat its right time.עַל אָפְנָיו

Like the coolnessכְּצִנַּתof snowשֶׁלֶגin a dayבְּיוֹםof harvestקָצִירis a faithfulנֶאֱמָןenvoyצִירto those who send him;לְשֹׁלְחָיוandוְhe brings backיָשִׁיבthe soulנֶפֶשׁof his masters.אֲדֹנָיו
Cloudsנְשִׂיאִיםand windוְרוּחַandוְnoאָיִןrainגֶשֶׁםis a manאִישׁwho boastsמִתְהַלֵּלof a falseשָׁקֶרgift.בְּמַתַּת

Make your foot rareהֹקַר רַגְלְךָin the houseמִבֵּיתof your neighbor,רֵעֶךָlestפֶּןhe be filled with youיִשְׂבָּעֲךָandוּhate you.שְׂנֵאֶךָ
A clubמֵפִיץand a swordוְחֶרֶבand a sharpשָׁנוּןarrowוְחֵץis a manאִישׁwho answersעֹנֶהagainst his neighborבְרֵעֵהוּas a falseשָׁקֶרwitness.עֵד

forכִּיyouאַתָּהwill heapחֹתֶהcoalsגֶחָלִיםon his head,עַל רֹאשׁוֹandוַYHWHיהוָהwill repayיְשַׁלֶּםyou.לָךְ

Betterטוֹבto liveשֶׁבֶתon a cornerעַל פִּנַּתof the roofגָּגthan with a womanמֵאֵשֶׁתof quarrelsמִדְיָנִיםin a sharedחָבֶרhouse.וּבֵית
Coldקָרִיםwaterמַיִםtoעַלa wearyעֲיֵפָהsoul,נֶפֶשׁandוּgoodטוֹבָהnewsשְׁמוּעָהfrom a landמֵאֶרֶץfar away.מֶרְחָק
A muddiedנִרְפָּשׂspringמַעְיָןand a ruinedמָשְׁחָתfountainוּמָקוֹרis a righteous manצַדִּיקwho gives wayמָטbeforeלִפְנֵיthe wicked.רָשָׁע
To eatאָכֹלmuchהַרְבּוֹתhoneyדְּבַשׁis notלֹאgood,טוֹבandוְto search outחֵקֶרtheir gloryכְּבֹדָםis glory.כָּבוֹד
