YHWHיְהוָהfrom the heavensמִשָּׁמַיִםlooked downהִשְׁקִיףupon human beingsעַל בְּנֵי אָדָםto seeלִרְאוֹתif there isהֲיֵשׁanyone who understands,מַשְׂכִּילwho seeksדֹּרֵשׁElohim.אֶת אֱלֹהִים
Allהַכֹּלhave turned aside,סָרtogetherיַחְדָּוthey have become perverted;נֶאֱלָחוּthere is noאֵיןone who doesעֹשֵׂהgood,טוֹבthere is notאֵיןeven one.גַּם אֶחָד
Do they notהֲלֹאknow,יָדְעוּallכָּלwho workפֹּעֲלֵיwickedness,אָוֶןwho eatאֹכְלֵיmy peopleעַמִּיas they eatאָכְלוּbread,לֶחֶםand do notלֹאcall onקָרָאוּYHWH?יְהוָה
Thereשָׁםthey were filledפָּחֲדוּwith dread,פָחַדforכִּיElohimאֱלֹהִיםis in the generationבְּדוֹרof the righteous.צַדִּיק
The counselעֲצַתof the afflictedעָנִיyou put to shame,תָבִישׁוּforכִּיYHWHיְהוָהis his refuge.מַחְסֵהוּ
Oh thatמִי יִתֵּןthe salvationיְשׁוּעַתof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלwould comefrom Zion.מִצִּיּוֹןWhenבְּYHWHיְהוָהbrings backשׁוּבthe captivityשְׁבוּתof his people,עַמּוֹJacobיַעֲקֹבwill be jubilant,יָגֵלIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵלwill be glad.יִשְׂמַח
