YHWHיְהוָהis my cragסַלְעִיand my fortressוּמְצוּדָתִיand the one who brings me to safety;וּמְפַלְטִיmy El,אֵלִיmy Rock,צוּרִיin whom I take refuge;אֶחֱסֶה בּוֹmy shieldמָגִנִּיand the hornוְקֶרֶןof my salvation,יִשְׁעִיmy high refuge.מִשְׂגַּבִּי
I callאֶקְרָאon YHWH,יְהוָהworthy of praise,מְהֻלָּלand from my enemiesוּמִן אֹיְבַיI am saved.אִוָּשֵׁעַ
The cordsחֶבְלֵיof deathמָוֶתencompassed me,אֲפָפוּנִיand the torrentsוְנַחֲלֵיof perversityבְלִיַּעַלterrified me.יְבַעֲתוּנִי
The cordsחֶבְלֵיof Sheolשְׁאוֹלsurrounded me;סְבָבוּנִיthe snaresמוֹקְשֵׁיof deathמָוֶתconfronted me.קִדְּמוּנִי
In my distressבַּצַּר לִיI calledאֶקְרָאon YHWH,יְהוָהand toוְאֶלmy ElohimאֱלֹהַיI cried for help;אֲשַׁוֵּעַhe heardיִשְׁמַעfrom his templeמֵהֵיכָלוֹmy voice,קוֹלִיand my cryוְשַׁוְעָתִיbefore himלְפָנָיוcameתָּבוֹאinto his ears.בְאָזְנָיו
The earthהָאָרֶץshookוַתִּגְעַשׁand quaked;וַתִּרְעַשׁthe foundationsוּמוֹסְדֵיof the mountainsהָרִיםtrembledיִרְגָּזוּand shook,וַיִּתְגָּעֲשׁוּbecauseכִּיhe burned with anger.חָרָה לוֹ
Smokeעָשָׁןwent upעָלָהin his nostrils,בְּאַפּוֹand fireוְאֵשׁfrom his mouthמִפִּיוdevoured;תֹּאכֵלcoalsגֶּחָלִיםblazedבָּעֲרוּfrom him.מִמֶּנּוּ
He bentוַיֵּטthe heavensשָׁמַיִםand came down,וַיֵּרַדand thick cloudוַעֲרָפֶלwas underתַּחַתhis feet.רַגְלָיו
He rodeוַיִּרְכַּבonעַלa cherubכְּרוּבand flew;וַיָּעֹףand he soaredוַיֵּדֶאonעַלthe wingsכַּנְפֵיof the wind.רוּחַ
He madeיָשֶׁתdarknessחֹשֶׁךְhis hiding place,סִתְרוֹhis boothסֻכָּתוֹaround him,סְבִיבוֹתָיוdarknessחֶשְׁכַתof waters,מַיִםthick clouds.עָבֵי שְׁחָקִים
From the brightnessמִנֹּגַהּbefore himנֶגְדּוֹhis cloudsעָבָיוpassed,עָבְרוּhailבָּרָדand coalsוְגַחֲלֵיof fire.אֵשׁ
YHWHיְהוָהthunderedוַיַּרְעֵםin the heavens,בַּשָּׁמַיִםand Elyonוְעֶלְיוֹןgaveיִתֵּןhis voice,קֹלוֹhailבָּרָדand coalsוְגַחֲלֵיof fire.אֵשׁ
He sent outוַיִּשְׁלַחhis arrowsחִצָּיוand scattered them,וַיְפִיצֵםand many lightning bolts,וּבְרָקִים רָבand threw them into confusion.וַיְהֻמֵּם
The channelsאֲפִיקֵיof the watersמַיִםwere seen,וַיֵּרָאוּand the foundationsמוֹסְדוֹתof the worldתֵּבֵלwere laid bareוַיִּגָּלוּat your rebuke,מִגַּעֲרָתְךָYHWH,יְהוָהat the breathמִנִּשְׁמַתof the windרוּחַof your nostrils.אַפֶּךָ
He reached outיִשְׁלַחfrom on high,מִמָּרוֹםhe took me,יִקָּחֵנִיhe drew me outיַמְשֵׁנִיof manyרַבִּיםwaters.מִמַּיִם
He delivered meיַצִּילֵנִיfrom my strongעָזenemy,מֵאֹיְבִיand from those who hate me,וּמִשֹּׂנְאַיforכִּיthey were strongerאָמְצוּthan I.מִמֶּנִּי
They confronted meיְקַדְּמוּנִיon the dayבְיוֹםof my calamity,אֵידִיbut YHWHוַ יְהוָהwasיְהִיmy support.לְמִשְׁעָן לִי
He brought me outוַיּוֹצִיאֵנִיinto a broad place;לַמֶּרְחָבhe delivered me,יְחַלְּצֵנִיbecauseכִּיhe delightedחָפֵץin me.בִּי
YHWHיְהוָהrepaid meיִגְמְלֵנִיaccording to my righteousness;כְּצִדְקִיaccording to the cleannessכְּבֹרof my handsיָדַיhe returned itיָשִׁיבto me.לִי
ForכִּיI have keptשָׁמַרְתִּיthe waysדַּרְכֵיof YHWH,יְהוָהand have notוְלֹאacted wickedly,רָשַׁעְתִּיdeparting from my Elohim.מֵאֱלֹהָי
Forכִּיallכָלhis rulesמִשְׁפָּטָיוare before me,לְנֶגְדִּיand his statutesוְחֻקֹּתָיוI do notלֹאput awayאָסִירfrom me.מֶנִּי
I wasוָאֱהִיblamelessתָמִיםwith him,עִמּוֹand I kept myselfוָאֶשְׁתַּמֵּרfrom my iniquity.מֵעֲוֺנִי
And YHWHוַ יְהוָהhas returned it to meיָּשֶׁב לִיaccording to my righteousness,כְצִדְקִיaccording to the cleannessכְּבֹרof my handsיָדַיbeforeלְנֶגֶדhis eyes.עֵינָיו
Withעִםthe faithfulחָסִידyou show yourself faithful;תִּתְחַסָּדwithעִםthe blamelessתָּמִיםmanגְּבַרyou show yourself blameless;תִּתַּמָּם
withעִםthe cleanנָבָרyou show yourself clean,תִּתְבָּרָרand withוְעִםthe crookedעִקֵּשׁyou show yourself tortuous.תִּתְפַּתָּל
Forכִּיyouאַתָּהsaveתוֹשִׁיעַan afflictedעָנִיpeople,עַםand haughtyרָמוֹתeyesוְעֵינַיִםyou bring low.תַּשְׁפִּיל
Forכִּיyouאַתָּהlightתָּאִירmy lamp,נֵרִיYHWH;יְהוָהmy Elohimאֱלֹהַיlights upיַגִּיהַּmy darkness.חָשְׁכִּי
Forכִּיwith youבְךָI runאָרֻץagainst a troop;גְּדוּדwith my ElohimוּבֵאלֹהַיI leap overאֲדַלֶּגa wall.שׁוּר
The Elהָאֵל—blameless isתָּמִיםhis way;דַּרְכּוֹthe sayingאִמְרַתof YHWHיְהוָהis refined;צְרוּפָהheהוּאis a shieldמָגֵןto allלְכֹלwho take refugeהַחֹסִיםin him.בּוֹ
Forכִּיwhoמִיis EloahאֱלוֹהַּbesidesמִבַּלְעֲדֵיYHWH?יְהוָהAnd whoוּמִיis a Rockצוּרexceptזוּלָתִיour Elohim?אֱלֹהֵינוּ
The Elהָאֵלwho girds meהַמְאַזְּרֵנִיwith strengthחָיִלand makesוַיִּתֵּןmy wayדַּרְכִּיblameless.תָּמִים
He makesמְשַׁוֶּהmy feetרַגְלַיlike those of the deer,כָּאַיָּלוֹתand onוְעַלmy high placesבָּמֹתַיhe makes me stand.יַעֲמִידֵנִי
He trainsמְלַמֵּדmy handsיָדַיfor war,לַמִּלְחָמָהand my armsוְ זְרוֹעֹתָיbendנִחֲתָהa bowקֶשֶׁתof bronze.נְחוּשָׁה
You have givenוַתִּתֶּןmeלִיthe shieldמָגֵןof your salvation;יִשְׁעֶךָyour right handוִימִינְךָsustains me,תִסְעָדֵנִיand your humilityוְעַנְוַתְךָmakes me great.תַרְבֵּנִי
You widenתַּרְחִיבmy stepצַעֲדִיbeneath me,תַחְתָּיand my anklesקַרְסֻלָּיdo notוְלֹאslip.מָעֲדוּ
I pursuedאֶרְדּוֹףmy enemiesאוֹיְבַיand overtook them,וְאַשִּׂיגֵםand I did notוְלֹאturn backאָשׁוּבuntilעַדI had consumed them.כַּלּוֹתָם
I shattered them,אֶמְחָצֵםand they could notוְלֹא יֻכְלוּrise;קוּםthey fellיִפְּלוּunderתַּחַתmy feet.רַגְלָי
You girded meוַתְּאַזְּרֵנִיwith strengthחַיִלfor war;לַמִּלְחָמָהyou made bend the kneeתַּכְרִיעַbeneath meתַּחְתָּיthose who rise against me.קָמַי
My enemiesוְאֹיְבַיyou madeנָתַתָּהturn their backsעֹרֶףto me;לִּיthose who hate me,וּמְשַׂנְאַיI annihilated them.אַצְמִיתֵם
They cried for help,יְשַׁוְּעוּbut there was noוְאֵיןsavior;מוֹשִׁיעַto YHWH,עַל יְהוָהbut he did notוְלֹאanswer them.עָנָם
I ground themוְאֶשְׁחָקֵםlike dustכְּעָפָרbefore the wind;עַל פְּנֵי רוּחַlike the mudכְּטִיטof the streetsחוּצוֹתI flung them out.אֲרִיקֵם
You brought me to safetyתְּפַלְּטֵנִיfrom the disputesמֵרִיבֵיof the people;עָםyou made meתְּשִׂימֵנִיheadלְרֹאשׁof nations;גּוֹיִםa peopleעַםI did notלֹאknowיָדַעְתִּיserves me.יַעַבְדוּנִי
As soon asלְthe earאֹזֶןhears,שֵׁמַעthey listenיִשָּׁמְעוּto me;לִיforeignersבְּנֵי נֵכָרfeign submissionיְכַחֲשׁוּto me.לִי
Foreignersבְּנֵי נֵכָרwither,יִבֹּלוּand come out tremblingוְיַחְרְגוּfrom their strongholds.מִמִּסְגְּרוֹתֵיהֶם
YHWHיְהוָהlives,חַיand blessed beוּבָרוּךְmy Rock;צוּרִיand exalted beוְיָרוּםthe Elohimאֱלוֹהֵיof my salvation,יִשְׁעִי
the Elהָאֵלwho givesהַנּוֹתֵןvengeanceנְקָמוֹתto meלִיand subduesוַיַּדְבֵּרpeoplesעַמִּיםbeneath me,תַּחְתָּי
the one who brings me to safetyמְפַלְּטִיfrom my enemies;מֵאֹיְבָיyes,אַףabove those who rise against meמִן קָמַיyou exalt me;תְּרוֹמְמֵנִיfrom the manמֵאִישׁof violenceחָמָסyou deliver me.תַּצִּילֵנִי
Thereforeעַל כֵּןI will give you thanksאוֹדְךָamong the nations,בַגּוֹיִםYHWH,יְהוָהand to your nameוּלְשִׁמְךָI will sing psalms.אֲזַמֵּרָה
He makes greatמַגְדִּילthe salvationsיְשׁוּעוֹתof his king,מַלְכּוֹand showsוְעֹשֶׂהloyal loveחֶסֶדto his anointed,לִמְשִׁיחוֹto Davidלְדָוִדand to his offspringוּלְזַרְעוֹforever.”עַד עוֹלָם
