7-day plan: Praise and worship
Recognizing who God is with our voices, our lives and all creation
One passage a day, with a question to think it over. Your progress stays on this device, no account needed.
Day 1 · Give glory to God
The psalm calls us to give YHWH the glory of his name and bow down
A psalm of David. Give to YHWH, sons of El, give to YHWH glory and strength. Give to YHWH the glory of his name; bow down to YHWH in the majesty of holiness.

Day 2 · With song and music
After crossing the sea, Moses and Israel sing to YHWH, their strength and song
Then Moses and the sons of Israel sang this song to YHWH, and they said: “I will sing to YHWH, for he is highly exalted; horse and its rider he has hurled into the sea. My strength and my song is Yah, and he has become my salvation. This is my El, and I will praise him; the Elohim of my father, and I will exalt him.

Which word or phrase stays with you, and why?
Day 3 · In spirit and in truth
Jesus tells the Samaritan woman the Father seeks worshipers in spirit and truth
The woman says to him, “Sir, I see that you are a prophet. Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you say that in Jerusalem is the place where one must worship.” Jesus says to her, “Believe me, woman, an hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews. But an hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father seeks such people as those who worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”

The woman left her water jar and told others what had happened to her (vv. 28-29). Whom could you invite to “come and see” something good?
Day 4 · All of life as an offering
Paul asks us to present our bodies as a living sacrifice: that is our worship
I urge you then, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a sacrifice living, holy, pleasing to God, which is your rational worship. And do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, so that you may discern what the will of God is: what is good and pleasing and complete.

Paul says: "If possible, as far as it depends on you, be at peace with all people" (v. 18). With whom can you take a step toward peace?
Day 5 · Everything that breathes
The heavens tell God's glory without words, day after day
For the director. A psalm of David. The heavens recount the glory of El, and the vault proclaims the work of his hands. Day to day pours out the saying, and night to night declares knowledge. There is no saying, and there are no words; their voice is not heard. Through all the earth their line has gone out, and to the end of the world their words. For the sun he has set a tent in them,

Day 6 · Give glory to God
Not to us but to your name give glory
Not to us, YHWH, not to us, but to your name give glory, for your loyal love, for your truth.

Day 7 · With song and music
Miriam takes a tambourine, and the women go out with tambourines and dancing
Then Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took the tambourine in her hand, and all the women went out after her with tambourines and with dances. And Miriam answered them, “Sing to YHWH, for he is highly exalted; horse and its rider he has hurled into the sea.”
