ForγὰρI rejoicedἐχάρηνgreatlyλίανwhen brothersἀδελφῶνcameἐρχομένωνandκαὶtestifiedμαρτυρούντωνto your truth,σου τῇ ἀληθείᾳjust asκαθὼςyouσὺwalkπεριπατεῖςinἐνtruth.ἀληθείᾳ
I haveἔχωnoοὐκgreaterμειζοτέρανjoyχαράνthan this,τούτωνtoἵναhearἀκούωthat myτὰ ἐμὰchildrenτέκναare walkingπεριπατοῦνταinἐνthe truth.τῇ ἀληθείᾳ
Beloved,Ἀγαπητέyou are actingποιεῖςfaithfullyπιστὸνin whateverὃ ἐὰνyou doἐργάσῃforεἰςthe brothers,τοὺς ἀδελφοὺςandκαὶthatτοῦτοfor strangers,ξένους
whoοἳhave testifiedἐμαρτύρησάνto your loveσου τῇ ἀγάπῃbeforeἐνώπιονthe assembly.ἐκκλησίαςYou will doποιήσειςwellκαλῶςto sendπροπέμψαςthemοὓςon their wayπροπέμψαςin a manner worthyἀξίωςof God;τοῦ θεοῦ
forγὰρthey went outἐξῆλθονfor the sake ofὑπὲρthe Name,τοῦ ὀνόματοςtakingλαμβάνοντεςnothingμηδὲνfromἀπὸthe Gentiles.τῶν ἐθνικῶν
Soοὖνweἡμεῖςoughtὀφείλομενto supportὑπολαμβάνεινsuch people,τοὺς τοιούτουςso thatἵναwe may becomeγινώμεθαfellow workersσυνεργοὶwith the truth.τῇ ἀληθείᾳ
I wroteἜγραψάsomethingτιto the assembly,τῇ ἐκκλησίᾳbutἀλλ’Diotrephes,Διοτρέφηςwhoὁloves to be firstφιλοπρωτεύωνamong them,αὐτῶνdoes notοὐκacknowledgeἐπιδέχεταιus.ἡμᾶς
For this reason,διὰ τοῦτοifἐὰνI come,ἔλθωI will call attention toὑπομνήσωthe worksτὰ ἔργαthatἃheαὐτοῦis doing,ποιεῖtalking nonsenseφλυαρῶνabout usἡμᾶςwith evilπονηροῖςwords;λόγοιςandκαὶnotμὴcontentἀρκούμενοςwithἐπὶthat,τούτοιςhe himselfαὐτὸςdoes notοὔτεreceiveἐπιδέχεταιthe brothers,τοὺς ἀδελφοὺςandκαὶhe hindersκωλύειthose whoτοὺςwant to,βουλομένουςandκαὶputs them outἐκβάλλειofἐκthe assembly.τῆς ἐκκλησίας
Beloved,Ἀγαπητέdo notμὴimitateμιμοῦwhat is evilτὸ κακὸνbutἀλλὰwhat is good.τὸ ἀγαθόνWhoeverὁdoes goodἀγαθοποιῶνisἐστινofἐκGod;τοῦ θεοῦwhoeverὁdoes evilκακοποιῶνhas notοὐχseenἑώρακενGod.τὸν θεόν
