YHWH

The personal name of the God of Israel, written in Hebrew with four letters, Y-H-W-H, without vowels. Out of reverence Jews stopped pronouncing it and read "Adonai" (Lord), so many Bibles put "the LORD" or "Jehovah". This translation keeps the four letters. The name is related to the verb "to be" (Exodus 3:14-15). He is not a god other than Elohim: "YHWH Elohim" is the same Creator God, called by his name.

16And it will happen, when you multiply and are fruitful in the land in those days, declares YHWH, they will no longer say, ‘The ark of the covenant of YHWH.’ It will not come up into the heart, and they will not remember it, and they will not miss it, and it will not be made again.

17 · This verse (above)

18In those days the house of Judah will walk with the house of Israel, and they will come together from the land of the north to the land that I gave as an inheritance to your fathers.
