John 19:38-42

38After these things Joseph of Arimathea, who was a disciple of Jesus, but a secret one for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus; and Pilate gave permission. So he came and took away his body. 39And Nicodemus also came, the one who had first come to him by night, bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred litras. 40So they took the body of Jesus and bound it in linen cloths with the spices, as is the custom of the Jews in burying. 41Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid. 42So there, because of the day of preparation of the Jews, since the tomb was near, they laid Jesus.

Matthew 27:57-61

57When evening came, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who himself also had become a disciple of Jesus. 58This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate ordered it to be given to him. 59And Joseph took the body and wrapped it in a clean linen cloth 60and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had cut in the rock; and after rolling a large stone to the door of the tomb, he went away. 61And Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were there, sitting opposite the grave.

Mark 15:42-47

42And when evening had already come, since it was the day of Preparation, which is the day before the Sabbath, 43Joseph of Arimathea, a respected member of the council, who was also himself waiting for the kingdom of God, came and took courage and went in to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. 44But Pilate was amazed that he was already dead; and summoning the centurion, he asked him whether he had been dead long. 45And learning it from the centurion, he granted the corpse to Joseph. 46And having bought a linen cloth, he took him down, wrapped him in the linen cloth, and laid him in a tomb that had been hewn out of the rock; and he rolled a stone against the entrance of the tomb. 47And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses were watching where he had been laid.

Luke 23:50-56

50And look, there was a man named Joseph, who was a member of the council, a good and righteous man 51(this one had not consented to their decision and action), from Arimathea, a city of the Jews, who was waiting for the kingdom of God. 52This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. 53And taking it down, he wrapped it in a linen cloth and laid him in a tomb cut in the rock, where no one had yet been laid. 54And it was the day of Preparation, and the Sabbath was beginning. 55And the women who had come with him from Galilee followed and saw the tomb and how his body was laid. 56And they returned and prepared spices and ointments. And on the Sabbath they rested according to the commandment.
