Andδὲthe twoοἱ δύοwere runningἔτρεχονtogether,ὁμοῦandκαὶthe otherὁ ἄλλοςdiscipleμαθητὴςran ahead,προέδραμενfasterτάχιονthan Peter,τοῦ Πέτρουandκαὶcameἦλθενfirstπρῶτοςtoεἰςthe tomb.τὸ μνημεῖον
Andκαὶstooping to look in,παρακύψαςhe seesβλέπειthe linen clothsτὰ ὀθόνιαlying there;κείμεναyetμέντοιhe did notοὐgo in.εἰσῆλθεν
SoοὖνSimon PeterΣίμων Πέτροςalsoκαὶcomes,ἔρχεταιfollowingἀκολουθῶνhim,αὐτῷandκαὶhe wentεἰσῆλθενintoεἰςthe tomb;τὸ μνημεῖονandκαὶhe seesθεωρεῖthe linen clothsτὰ ὀθόνιαlying there,κείμενα
andκαὶthe face clothτὸ σουδάριονthatὃhad beenἦνonἐπὶhis head,τῆς κεφαλῆς αὐτοῦnotοὐlyingκείμενονwithμετὰthe linen clothsτῶν ὀθονίωνbutἀλλὰrolled upἐντετυλιγμένονseparatelyχωρὶςinεἰςoneἕναplace.τόπον
Soοὖνthenτότεthe otherὁ ἄλλοςdisciple,μαθητὴςwhoὁhad comeἐλθὼνfirstπρῶτοςtoεἰςthe tomb,τὸ μνημεῖονalsoκαὶwent in,εἰσῆλθενandκαὶhe sawεἶδενandκαὶbelieved;ἐπίστευσεν
forγὰρthey did not yetοὐδέπωunderstandᾔδεισανthe Scripture,τὴν γραφὴνthatὅτιhe mustδεῖ αὐτὸνriseἀναστῆναιfromἐκthe dead.νεκρῶν
Soοὖνthe disciplesοἱ μαθηταίwent awayἀπῆλθονagainπάλινtoπρὸςtheir homes.αὑτοὺς
ButδὲMaryΜαρίαwas standingεἱστήκειoutsideἔξωatπρὸςthe tomb,τῷ μνημείῳweeping.κλαίουσαSoοὖνasὡςshe wept,ἔκλαιενshe stooped to lookπαρέκυψενintoεἰςthe tomb;τὸ μνημεῖον
andκαὶshe seesθεωρεῖtwoδύοangelsἀγγέλουςinἐνwhite,λευκοῖςsitting,καθεζομένουςoneἕναatπρὸςthe headτῇ κεφαλῇandκαὶoneἕναatπρὸςthe feet,τοῖς ποσίνwhereὅπουthe bodyτὸ σῶμαof Jesusτοῦ Ἰησοῦhad been lying.ἔκειτο
Andκαὶtheyἐκεῖνοιsayλέγουσινto her,αὐτῇ“Woman,Γύναιwhyτίare you weeping?”κλαίειςShe saysλέγειto them,αὐτοῖς“They have taken awayἮρανmy Lord,τὸν κύριόν μουandκαὶI do notοὐκknowοἶδαwhereποῦthey have putἔθηκανhim.”αὐτόν
Having saidεἰποῦσαthis,ταῦταshe turnedἐστράφηaround,εἰς τὰ ὀπίσωandκαὶshe seesθεωρεῖJesusτὸν Ἰησοῦνstanding there,ἑστῶταandκαὶshe did notοὐκknowᾔδειthatὅτιit wasἐστινJesus.Ἰησοῦς
JesusἸησοῦςsaysλέγειto her,αὐτῇ“Woman,Γύναιwhyτίare you weeping?κλαίειςWhomτίναare you looking for?”ζητεῖςShe,ἐκείνηthinkingδοκοῦσαthatὅτιhe wasἐστινthe gardener,ὁ κηπουρόςsaysλέγειto him,αὐτῷ“Sir,Κύριεifεἰyouσὺhave carriedἐβάστασαςhimαὐτόνaway,ἐβάστασαςtellεἰπέmeμοιwhereποῦyou have putἔθηκαςhim,αὐτόνand Iκἀγὼwill takeἀρῶhimαὐτὸνaway.”ἀρῶ

JesusἸησοῦςsaysλέγειto her,αὐτῇ“Do notΜήhold onἅπτουto me,μουforγὰρI have not yetοὔπωgone upἀναβέβηκαtoπρὸςthe Father;τὸν πατέραbutδὲgoπορεύουtoπρὸςmy brothersτοὺς ἀδελφούς μουandκαὶtellεἰπὲthem,αὐτοῖς‘I am going upἈναβαίνωtoπρὸςmy Fatherτὸν πατέρα μουandκαὶyour Father,πατέρα ὑμῶνandκαὶmy Godθεόν μουandκαὶyour God.’”θεὸν ὑμῶν

Andκαὶhaving saidεἰπὼνthis,τοῦτοhe showedἔδειξενthemαὐτοῖςhis handsτὰς χεῖραςandκαὶhis side.τὴν πλευρὰνSoοὖνthe disciplesοἱ μαθηταὶrejoicedἐχάρησανwhen they sawἰδόντεςthe Lord.τὸν κύριον
SoοὖνJesusὁ Ἰησοῦςsaidεἶπενto themαὐτοῖςagain,πάλιν“PeaceΕἰρήνηto you.ὑμῖνAsκαθὼςthe Fatherὁ πατήρhas sentἀπέσταλκένme,μεI alsoκἀγὼsendπέμπωyou.”ὑμᾶς
Andκαὶhaving saidεἰπὼνthis,τοῦτοhe breathed on themἐνεφύσησενandκαὶsaysλέγειto them,αὐτοῖς“ReceiveΛάβετεthe HolyἅγιονSpirit.πνεῦμα
Ifἄνyou forgiveἀφῆτεthe sinsτὰς ἁμαρτίαςof any,τινωνthey have been forgivenἀφέωνταιthem;αὐτοῖςifἄνyou retain thoseκρατῆτεof any,τινωνthey have been retained.”κεκράτηνται
ButδὲThomas,Θωμᾶςoneεἷςofἐκthe Twelve,τῶν δώδεκαwhoὁis calledλεγόμενοςDidymus,Δίδυμοςwas notοὐκ ἦνwithμετ’themαὐτῶνwhenὅτεJesusἸησοῦςcame.ἦλθεν
Soοὖνthe otherοἱ ἄλλοιdisciplesμαθηταίwere sayingἔλεγονto him,αὐτῷ“We have seenἙωράκαμενthe Lord!”τὸν κύριονButδὲheὁsaidεἶπενto them,αὐτοῖς“UnlessἘὰν μὴI seeἴδωinἐνhis handsταῖς χερσὶν αὐτοῦthe markτὸν τύπονof the nails,τῶν ἥλωνandκαὶputβάλωmy fingerτὸν δάκτυλόν μουintoεἰςthe markτὸν τύπονof the nails,τῶν ἥλωνandκαὶputβάλωmy handμου τὴν χεῖραintoεἰςhis side,τὴν πλευρὰν αὐτοῦI will neverοὐ μὴbelieve.”πιστεύσω
AndΚαὶafterμεθ’eightὀκτὼdaysἡμέραςhis disciplesοἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦwereἦσανagainπάλινinside,ἔσωandκαὶThomasΘωμᾶςwithμετ’them.αὐτῶνJesusὁ Ἰησοῦςcomes,ἔρχεταιthough the doorsτῶν θυρῶνhad been locked,κεκλεισμένωνandκαὶstoodἔστηinεἰςthe middleτὸ μέσονandκαὶsaid,εἶπεν“PeaceΕἰρήνηto you.”ὑμῖν
Thenεἶταhe saysλέγειto Thomas,τῷ Θωμᾷ“BringΦέρεyour fingerτὸν δάκτυλόν σουhereὧδεandκαὶseeἴδεmy hands;τὰς χεῖράς μουandκαὶbringφέρεyour handτὴν χεῖρά σουandκαὶput itβάλεintoεἰςmy side;τὴν πλευράν μουandκαὶdo notμὴbeγίνουunbelieving,ἄπιστοςbutἀλλὰbelieving.”πιστός
ThomasΘωμᾶςansweredἀπεκρίθηandκαὶsaidεἶπενto him,αὐτῷ“My LordὉ κύριός μουandκαὶmy God!”ὁ θεός μου
Jesusὁ Ἰησοῦςsaysλέγειto him,αὐτῷ“BecauseὍτιyou have seenἑώρακάςme,μεyou have believed.πεπίστευκαςHappyμακάριοιare those whoοἱhave notμὴseenἰδόντεςandκαὶyethave believed.”πιστεύσαντες
Nowμὲν οὖνJesusὁ ἸησοῦςdidἐποίησενmanyΠολλὰotherκαὶ ἄλλαsignsσημεῖαin the presenceἐνώπιονof the disciplesτῶν μαθητῶνthatἃare notοὐκ ἔστινwrittenγεγραμμέναinἐνthis book;τῷ βιβλίῳ τούτῳ
butδὲtheseταῦταare writtenγέγραπταιso thatἵναyou may go on believingπιστεύητεthatὅτιJesusἸησοῦςisἐστινthe Messiah,ὁ χριστὸςthe Sonὁ υἱὸςof God,τοῦ θεοῦandκαὶthatἵναbelievingπιστεύοντεςyou may haveἔχητεlifeζωὴνinἐνhis name.τῷ ὀνόματι αὐτοῦ
