AndוַYHWHיְהוָהspokeיְדַבֵּרto Moses,אֶל מֹשֶׁהsaying,לֵּאמֹר
“Speakדַּבֵּרto the sonsאֶל בְּנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלand sayוְאָמַרְתָּto them:אֲלֵהֶםIאֲנִיam YHWHיְהוָהyour Elohim.אֱלֹהֵיכֶם
You shall notלֹאdoתַעֲשׂוּas they doכְּמַעֲשֵׂהin the landאֶרֶץof Egypt,מִצְרַיִםwhereאֲשֶׁר בָּהּyou lived,יְשַׁבְתֶּםand you shall notוּ לֹאdoתַעֲשׂוּas they doכְמַעֲשֵׂהin the landאֶרֶץof Canaan,כְּנַעַןto whichאֲשֶׁר שָׁמָּהIאֲנִיam bringingמֵבִיאyou;אֶתְכֶםand you shall notוּ לֹאwalkתֵלֵכוּin their statutes.בְחֻקֹּתֵיהֶם
You shall doאֶת תַּעֲשׂוּmy rulesמִשְׁפָּטַיand keepוְאֶת תִּשְׁמְרוּmy statutes,חֻקֹּתַיwalkingלָלֶכֶתin them.בָּהֶםIאֲנִיam YHWHיְהוָהyour Elohim.אֱלֹהֵיכֶם
So you shall keepוּשְׁמַרְתֶּםmy statutesאֶת חֻקֹּתַיandוְmy rules,אֶת מִשְׁפָּטַיby which,אֲשֶׁר בָּהֶםif a personהָאָדָםdoesיַעֲשֶׂהthem,אֹתָםhe shall live.וָחַיIאֲנִיam YHWH.יְהוָה
Noneאִישׁ אִישׁ לֹאof you shall approachתִקְרְבוּanyאֶל כָּלclose relativeשְׁאֵר בְּשָׂרוֹto uncoverלְגַלּוֹתnakedness.עֶרְוָהIאֲנִיam YHWH.יְהוָה
The nakednessעֶרְוַתof your fatherאָבִיךָand the nakednessוְעֶרְוַתof your motherאִמְּךָyou shall notלֹאuncover;תְגַלֵּהshe isהִואyour mother;אִמְּךָyou shall notלֹאuncoverתְגַלֶּהher nakedness.עֶרְוָתָהּ
The nakednessעֶרְוַתof your father’sאָבִיךָwifeאֵשֶׁתyou shall notלֹאuncover;תְגַלֵּהitהִואis the nakednessעֶרְוַתof your father.אָבִיךָ
The nakednessעֶרְוַתof your sister,אֲחוֹתְךָdaughterבַתof your fatherאָבִיךָorאוֹdaughterבַתof your mother,אִמֶּךָbornמוֹלֶדֶתat homeבַּיִתorאוֹbornמוֹלֶדֶתoutside,חוּץyou shall notלֹאuncoverתְגַלֶּהtheir nakedness.עֶרְוָתָן
The nakednessעֶרְוַתof your son’sבִּנְךָdaughterבַּתorאוֹof your daughter’sבִּתְּךָdaughterבַתyou shall notלֹאuncoverתְגַלֶּהtheir nakedness,עֶרְוָתָןforכִּיtheyהֵנָּהare your own nakedness.עֶרְוָתְךָ
The nakednessעֶרְוַתof the daughterבַּתof your father’sאָבִיךָwife,אֵשֶׁתbornמוֹלֶדֶתto your father,אָבִיךָsheהִואis your sister;אֲחוֹתְךָyou shall notלֹאuncoverתְגַלֶּהher nakedness.עֶרְוָתָהּ
The nakednessעֶרְוַתof your father’sאָבִיךָsisterאֲחוֹתyou shall notלֹאuncover;תְגַלֵּהsheהִואis a close relativeשְׁאֵרof your father.אָבִיךָ
The nakednessעֶרְוַתof your mother’sאִמְּךָsisterאֲחוֹתyou shall notלֹאuncover,תְגַלֵּהforכִּיsheהִואis a close relativeשְׁאֵרof your mother.אִמְּךָ
The nakednessעֶרְוַתof your father’sאָבִיךָbrotherאֲחִיyou shall notלֹאuncover:תְגַלֵּהyou shall notלֹאapproachתִקְרָבhis wife;אֶל אִשְׁתּוֹsheהִואis your aunt.דֹּדָתְךָ
The nakednessעֶרְוַתof your daughter-in-lawכַּלָּתְךָyou shall notלֹאuncover;תְגַלֵּהsheהִואis your son’sבִּנְךָwife;אֵשֶׁתyou shall notלֹאuncoverתְגַלֶּהher nakedness.עֶרְוָתָהּ
The nakednessעֶרְוַתof your brother’sאָחִיךָwifeאֵשֶׁתyou shall notלֹאuncover;תְגַלֵּהitהִואis the nakednessעֶרְוַתof your brother.אָחִיךָ
The nakednessעֶרְוַתof a womanאִשָּׁהand her daughterוּבִתָּהּyou shall notלֹאuncover;תְגַלֵּהyou shall notלֹאtakeתִקַּחher son’sבְּנָהּdaughterאֶת בַּתorוְher daughter’sבִּתָּהּdaughterאֶת בַּתto uncoverלְגַלּוֹתher nakedness;עֶרְוָתָהּtheyהֵנָּהare close relatives;שַׁאֲרָהitהִואis infamy.זִמָּה
And you shall notוְ לֹאtakeתִקָּחa womanאִשָּׁהin addition toאֶלher sisterאֲחֹתָהּas a rival,לִצְרֹרuncoveringלְגַלּוֹתher nakednessעֶרְוָתָהּbesides herעָלֶיהָwhile she is alive.בְּחַיֶּיהָ
And you shall notוְ לֹאapproachתִקְרַבa womanאֶל אִשָּׁהduringבְּthe menstruationנִדַּתof her uncleannessטֻמְאָתָהּto uncoverלְגַלּוֹתher nakedness.עֶרְוָתָהּ
And you shall notוְ לֹאlieתִתֵּן שְׁכָבְתְּךָwithאֶלthe wifeאֵשֶׁתof your neighborעֲמִיתְךָto emit semen,לְזָרַעmaking yourself uncleanלְטָמְאָהwith her.בָהּ
And you shall notוּ לֹאgiveתִתֵּןany of your offspringמִזַּרְעֲךָto make them pass overלְהַעֲבִירto Molech,לַמֹּלֶךְand you shall notוְלֹאprofaneתְחַלֵּלthe nameאֶת שֵׁםof your Elohim.אֱלֹהֶיךָIאֲנִיam YHWH.יְהוָה
And you shall notוְ לֹאlieתִשְׁכַּבwithאֶתa maleזָכָרas one liesמִשְׁכְּבֵיwith a woman;אִשָּׁהitהִואis an abomination.תּוֹעֵבָה
And you shall notוּ לֹאlieתִתֵּן שְׁכָבְתְּךָwithבְanyכָלbeast,בְּהֵמָהmaking yourself uncleanלְטָמְאָהwith it;בָהּand a womanוְאִשָּׁהshall notלֹאstandתַעֲמֹדbeforeלִפְנֵיa beastבְהֵמָהto mate with it;לְרִבְעָהּitהוּאis perversion.תֶּבֶל
Do notאַלmake yourselves uncleanתִּטַּמְּאוּby anyבְּכָלof these things,אֵלֶּהforכִּיby allבְכָלthese thingsאֵלֶּהthe nationsהַגּוֹיִםthatאֲשֶׁרIאֲנִיam driving outמְשַׁלֵּחַbefore youמִפְּנֵיכֶםhave become unclean.נִטְמְאוּ
So the landוַ הָאָרֶץbecame unclean,תִּטְמָאand I punishedוָאֶפְקֹדits iniquityעֲוֺנָהּon it,עָלֶיהָand the landוַ הָאָרֶץvomited outתָּקִאits inhabitants.אֶת יֹשְׁבֶיהָ
But youוּ אַתֶּםshall keepשְׁמַרְתֶּםmy statutesאֶת חֻקֹּתַיandוְmy rules,אֶת מִשְׁפָּטַיand you shall notוְלֹאdoתַעֲשׂוּanyמִכֹּלof theseהָאֵלֶּהabominations,הַתּוֹעֵבֹתneither the nativeהָאֶזְרָחnorוְthe resident alienהַגֵּרwho residesהַגָּרamong youבְּתוֹכְכֶם
(forכִּיallאֶת כָּלtheseהָאֵלabominationsהַתּוֹעֵבֹתthe menאַנְשֵׁיof the landהָאָרֶץwhoאֲשֶׁרwere before youלִפְנֵיכֶםhave done,עָשׂוּand the landוַ הָאָרֶץbecame unclean),תִּטְמָא
so that the landוְ הָאָרֶץdoes notלֹאvomitתָקִיאyouאֶתְכֶםoutתָקִיאwhen you makeבְּ כֶםitאֹתָהּunclean,טַמַּאֲasכַּאֲשֶׁרit vomited outקָאָהthe nationאֶת הַגּוֹיthatאֲשֶׁרwas before you.לִפְנֵיכֶם
Forכִּיwhoeverכָּל אֲשֶׁרdoesיַעֲשֶׂהanyמִכֹּלof theseהָאֵלֶּהabominations,הַתּוֹעֵבוֹתthe personsהַנְּפָשׁוֹתwho do themהָעֹשֹׂתshall be cut offוְנִכְרְתוּfrom amongמִקֶּרֶבtheir people.עַמָּם
So you shall keepוּשְׁמַרְתֶּםmy charge,אֶת מִשְׁמַרְתִּיnotלְבִלְתִּיto doעֲשׂוֹתany ofמֵthe abominableהַתּוֹעֵבֹתstatutesחֻקּוֹתthatאֲשֶׁרwere doneנַעֲשׂוּbefore you,לִפְנֵיכֶםand you shall notוְלֹאmake yourselves uncleanתִטַּמְּאוּby them.בָּהֶםIאֲנִיam YHWHיְהוָהyour Elohim.”אֱלֹהֵיכֶם
