AndוַYHWHיְהוָהspokeיְדַבֵּרto Moses,אֶל מֹשֶׁהsaying,לֵּאמֹר
“Speakדַּבֵּרto allאֶל כָּלthe communityעֲדַתof the sonsבְּנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלand sayוְאָמַרְתָּto them:אֲלֵהֶםYou shall beתִּהְיוּholy,קְדֹשִׁיםforכִּיI,אֲנִיYHWHיְהוָהyour Elohim,אֱלֹהֵיכֶםam holy.קָדוֹשׁ
Each of youאִישׁshall fearתִּירָאוּhis motherאִמּוֹand his father,וְאָבִיוand you shall keepוְאֶת תִּשְׁמֹרוּmy Sabbaths.שַׁבְּתֹתַיIאֲנִיam YHWHיְהוָהyour Elohim.אֱלֹהֵיכֶם
Do notאַלturnתִּפְנוּtoאֶלidols,הָאֱלִילִיםand godsוֵאלֹהֵיof cast metalמַסֵּכָהyou shall notלֹאmakeתַעֲשׂוּfor yourselves.לָכֶםIאֲנִיam YHWHיְהוָהyour Elohim.אֱלֹהֵיכֶם
And whenוְכִיyou sacrificeתִזְבְּחוּa sacrificeזֶבַחof peaceשְׁלָמִיםto YHWH,לַיהוָהyou shall sacrifice itתִּזְבָּחֻהוּso that you are accepted.לִרְצֹנְכֶם
It shall be eatenיֵאָכֵלon the dayבְּיוֹםyou sacrifice itזִבְחֲכֶםand on the next day,וּמִמָּחֳרָתand what is leftוְהַנּוֹתָרuntilעַדthe thirdהַשְּׁלִישִׁיdayיוֹםshall be burnedיִשָּׂרֵףin the fire.בָּאֵשׁ
And ifוְאִםit is eaten at allהֵאָכֹל יֵאָכֵלon the thirdבַּ הַשְּׁלִישִׁיday,יּוֹםitהוּאis a repulsive thing;פִּגּוּלit will notלֹאbe accepted.יֵרָצֶה
And whoever eats itוְאֹכְלָיוshall bearיִשָּׂאhis iniquity,עֲוֺנוֹforכִּיhe has profanedחִלֵּלwhat is holyאֶת קֹדֶשׁto YHWH;יְהוָהand thatוְ הַהִואpersonהַנֶּפֶשׁshall be cut offנִכְרְתָהfrom their people.מֵעַמֶּיהָ
And when you reapוּבְקֻצְרְכֶםthe harvestאֶת קְצִירof your land,אַרְצְכֶםyou shall notלֹאfinish reapingתְכַלֶּה לִקְצֹרthe edgeפְּאַתof your field,שָׂדְךָand the gleaningsוְלֶקֶטof your harvestקְצִירְךָyou shall notלֹאgather.תְלַקֵּט
And your vineyardוְכַרְמְךָyou shall notלֹאstrip bare,תְעוֹלֵלand the fallen grapesוּפֶרֶטof your vineyardכַּרְמְךָyou shall notלֹאgather;תְלַקֵּטfor the poorלֶעָנִיand for the resident alienוְלַגֵּרyou shall leaveתַּעֲזֹבthem.אֹתָםIאֲנִיam YHWHיְהוָהyour Elohim.אֱלֹהֵיכֶם
You shall notלֹאsteal,תִּגְנֹבוּand you shall notוְלֹאlie,תְכַחֲשׁוּand you shall notוְלֹאdeceiveתְשַׁקְּרוּone another.אִישׁ בַּעֲמִיתוֹ
And you shall notוְלֹאswearתִשָּׁבְעוּby my nameבִשְׁמִיfalsely,לַשָּׁקֶרand so profaneוְחִלַּלְתָּthe nameאֶת שֵׁםof your Elohim.אֱלֹהֶיךָIאֲנִיam YHWH.יְהוָה
You shall notלֹאoppressתַעֲשֹׁקyour neighborאֶת רֵעֲךָand you shall notוְלֹאrob him.תִגְזֹלThe wagesפְּעֻלַּתof a hired workerשָׂכִירshall notלֹאstay overnightתָלִיןwith youאִתְּךָuntilעַדmorning.בֹּקֶר
You shall notלֹאcurseתְקַלֵּלa deaf personחֵרֵשׁand beforeוְלִפְנֵיa blind personעִוֵּרyou shall notלֹאputתִתֵּןa stumbling block;מִכְשֹׁלbut you shall fearוְיָרֵאתָyour Elohim.מֵּאֱלֹהֶיךָIאֲנִיam YHWH.יְהוָה
You shall notלֹאdoתַעֲשׂוּinjusticeעָוֶלin judgment:בַּמִּשְׁפָּטyou shall notלֹאshow favor toתִשָּׂא פְנֵיthe poorדָלand you shall notוְלֹאhonorתֶהְדַּר פְּנֵיthe great;גָדוֹלin righteousnessבְּצֶדֶקyou shall judgeתִּשְׁפֹּטyour neighbor.עֲמִיתֶךָ
You shall notלֹאgo aboutתֵלֵךְslanderingרָכִילamong your people.בְּעַמֶּיךָYou shall notלֹאstand idly byתַעֲמֹדoverעַלthe bloodדַּםof your neighbor.רֵעֶךָIאֲנִיam YHWH.יְהוָה
You shall notלֹאhateתִשְׂנָאyour brotherאֶת אָחִיךָin your heart.בִּלְבָבֶךָYou shall surelyהוֹכֵחַrebukeתּוֹכִיחַyour neighbor,אֶת עֲמִיתֶךָand you shall notוְלֹאbearתִשָּׂאsinחֵטְאbecause of him.עָלָיו
You shall notלֹאtake vengeance,תִקֹּםand you shall notוְלֹאbear a grudgeתִטֹּרagainst the sonsאֶת בְּנֵיof your people,עַמֶּךָbut you shall loveוְאָהַבְתָּyour neighborלְרֵעֲךָas yourself.כָּמוֹךָIאֲנִיam YHWH.יְהוָה
You shall keepתִּשְׁמֹרוּmy statutes.אֶת חֻקֹּתַיYour beastsבְּהֶמְתְּךָyou shall notלֹאlet breedתַרְבִּיעַwith two kinds;כִּלְאַיִםyour fieldשָׂדְךָyou shall notלֹאsowתִזְרַעwith two kinds,כִּלְאָיִםand a garmentוּבֶגֶדof two kinds,כִּלְאַיִםof mixed fabric,שַׁעַטְנֵזshall notלֹאcomeיַעֲלֶהon you.עָלֶיךָ
And if a manוְאִישׁ כִּיliesיִשְׁכַּבwithאֶתa womanאִשָּׁהwith an emissionשִׁכְבַתof semen,זֶרַעand sheוְהִואis a slave womanשִׁפְחָהpromisedנֶחֱרֶפֶתto a man,לְאִישׁbutוְshe has notלֹאbeen redeemed at allהָפְדֵּה נִפְדָּתָהnorאוֹ לֹאbeen givenנִתַּןherלָהּfreedom,חֻפְשָׁהthere shall beתִּהְיֶהpunishment;בִּקֹּרֶתthey shall notלֹאbe put to death,יוּמְתוּforכִּיshe was notלֹאfree.חֻפָּשָׁה
And he shall bringוְהֵבִיאhis guilt offeringאֶת אֲשָׁמוֹto YHWH,לַיהוָהtoאֶלthe entranceפֶּתַחof the tentאֹהֶלof meeting,מוֹעֵדa ramאֵילof guilt offering.אָשָׁם
And the priestוְ הַכֹּהֵןshall make expiationכִפֶּרfor himעָלָיוwith the ramבְּאֵילof the guilt offeringהָאָשָׁםbeforeלִפְנֵיYHWHיְהוָהforעַלhis sinחַטָּאתוֹthatאֲשֶׁרhe has committed,חָטָאand he shall be forgivenוְנִסְלַח לוֹfor his sinמֵחַטָּאתוֹthatאֲשֶׁרhe has committed.חָטָא
And whenוְכִיyou comeתָבֹאוּintoאֶלthe landהָאָרֶץand plantוּנְטַעְתֶּםanyכָּלtreeעֵץfor food,מַאֲכָלyou shall regardוַעֲרַלְתֶּםits fruitאֶת פִּרְיוֹas uncircumcised;עָרְלָתוֹthreeשָׁלֹשׁyearsשָׁנִיםit shall beיִהְיֶהuncircumcisedעֲרֵלִיםto you;לָכֶםit shall notלֹאbe eaten.יֵאָכֵל
And in the fourth yearוּבַשָּׁנָה הָרְבִיעִתallכָּלits fruitפִּרְיוֹshall beיִהְיֶהholy,קֹדֶשׁan offering of praiseהִלּוּלִיםto YHWH.לַיהוָה
And in the fifth yearוּבַשָּׁנָה הַחֲמִישִׁתyou may eatתֹּאכְלוּits fruit,אֶת פִּרְיוֹthat it may increaseלְהוֹסִיףits yieldתְּבוּאָתוֹfor you.לָכֶםIאֲנִיam YHWHיְהוָהyour Elohim.אֱלֹהֵיכֶם
You shall notלֹאeatתֹאכְלוּanything withעַלthe blood.הַדָּםYou shall notלֹאpractice divinationתְנַחֲשׁוּorוְsoothsaying.לֹא תְעוֹנֵנוּ
You shall notלֹאround offתַקִּפוּthe edgeפְּאַתof your head,רֹאשְׁכֶםand you shall notוְלֹאdestroyתַשְׁחִיתthe edgeאֵת פְּאַתof your beard.זְקָנֶךָ
And a cutוְשֶׂרֶטfor the deadלָנֶפֶשׁyou shall notלֹאmakeתִתְּנוּin your flesh,בִּבְשַׂרְכֶםand a tattooוּכְתֹבֶת קַעֲקַעyou shall notלֹאputתִתְּנוּon yourselves.בָּכֶםIאֲנִיam YHWH.יְהוָה
Do notאַלprofaneתְּחַלֵּלyour daughterאֶת בִּתְּךָby making her a prostitute,לְהַזְנוֹתָהּso that the landוְ הָאָרֶץdoes notלֹאprostitute itselfתִזְנֶהand the landוּ הָאָרֶץbecome fullמָלְאָהof infamy.זִמָּה
You shall keepתִּשְׁמֹרוּmy Sabbathsאֶת שַׁבְּתֹתַיand fearוּ תִּירָאוּmy sanctuary.מִקְדָּשִׁיIאֲנִיam YHWH.יְהוָה
Do notאַלturnתִּפְנוּtoאֶלthose who call up the deadהָאֹבֹתorוְאֶלto spiritists;הַיִּדְּעֹנִיםdo notאַלseek them outתְּבַקְשׁוּto become uncleanלְטָמְאָהby them.בָהֶםIאֲנִיam YHWHיְהוָהyour Elohim.אֱלֹהֵיכֶם
You shall riseתָּקוּםbeforeמִפְּנֵיgray hair,שֵׂיבָהand honorוְהָדַרְתָּthe faceפְּנֵיof an old man,זָקֵןand fearוְיָרֵאתָyour Elohim.מֵּאֱלֹהֶיךָIאֲנִיam YHWH.יְהוָה
And whenוְכִיa resident alienגֵּרresidesיָגוּרwith youאִתְּךָin your land,בְּאַרְצְכֶםyou shall notלֹאmistreatתוֹנוּhim.אֹתוֹ
Asכְּthe nativeאֶזְרָחamong youמִכֶּםshall beיִהְיֶהto youלָכֶםthe resident alienהַגֵּרwho residesהַגָּרwith you,אִתְּכֶםand you shall loveוְאָהַבְתָּhimלוֹas yourself,כָּמוֹךָforכִּיyou wereהֱיִיתֶםresident aliensגֵרִיםin the landבְּאֶרֶץof Egypt.מִצְרָיִםIאֲנִיam YHWHיְהוָהyour Elohim.אֱלֹהֵיכֶם
You shall notלֹאdoתַעֲשׂוּinjusticeעָוֶלin judgment,בַּמִּשְׁפָּטin measure of length,בַּמִּדָּהin weight,בַּמִּשְׁקָלor in measure of capacity.וּבַמְּשׂוּרָה
You shall haveיִהְיֶה לָכֶםjustצֶדֶקscales,מֹאזְנֵיjustצֶדֶקweights,אַבְנֵיa justצֶדֶקephah,אֵיפַתand a justוְ צֶדֶקhin.הִיןIאֲנִיam YHWHיְהוָהyour Elohim,אֱלֹהֵיכֶםwhoאֲשֶׁרbroughtהוֹצֵאתִיyouאֶתְכֶםout of the landמֵאֶרֶץof Egypt.מִצְרָיִם
And you shall keepוּשְׁמַרְתֶּםallאֶת כָּלmy statutesחֻקֹּתַיandוְallאֶת כָּלmy rulesמִשְׁפָּטַיand doוַעֲשִׂיתֶםthem.אֹתָםIאֲנִיam YHWH.”יְהוָה
