Luke 18:31-34
31And taking aside the twelve, he said to them, “Look, we are going up to Jerusalem, and everything written through the prophets about the Son of Man will be accomplished. 32For he will be handed over to the nations, and he will be mocked and insulted and spit upon; 33and after flogging him, they will kill him; and on the third day he will rise.” 34And they understood none of these things, and this saying was hidden from them, and they did not know what was being said.
17And as Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples aside, and on the way he said to them, 18“Look, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the high priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death 19and will hand him over to the nations to mock and flog and crucify him, and on the third day he will be raised.”
32And they were on the way, going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was going ahead of them; and they were amazed, and those who followed were afraid. And taking the Twelve aside again, he began to tell them the things that were going to happen to him: 33“Look, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the high priests and the scribes, and they will condemn him to death and hand him over to the nations, 34and they will mock him and spit on him and flog him and kill him, and after three days he will rise.”
