Andκαὶwhen he had come outἐξελθόντος αὐτοῦofἐκthe boat,τοῦ πλοίουat onceεὐθὺςa manἄνθρωποςwithἐνan uncleanἀκαθάρτῳspiritπνεύματιmetὑπήντησενhimαὐτῷfromἐκthe tombs.τῶν μνημείων
Heὃςhadεἶχενhis dwellingτὴν κατοίκησινamongἐνthe tombs,τοῖς μνήμασινandκαὶno oneοὐδεὶςcouldἐδύνατοbindδῆσαιhimαὐτὸνany longer,οὐκέτιnot evenοὐδὲwith a chain,ἁλύσει
becauseδιὰ τὸheαὐτὸνhad oftenπολλάκιςbeen boundδεδέσθαιwith shacklesπέδαιςandκαὶchains,ἁλύσεσιandκαὶthe chainsτὰς ἁλύσειςhad been torn apartδιεσπάσθαιbyὑπ’himαὐτοῦandκαὶthe shacklesτὰς πέδαςbroken in pieces,συντετρῖφθαιandκαὶno oneοὐδεὶςwas strong enoughἴσχυενto subdueδαμάσαιhim.αὐτὸν
Andκαὶalways,διὰ παντὸςnightνυκτὸςandκαὶday,ἡμέραςamongἐνthe tombsτοῖς μνήμασινandκαὶonἐνthe mountainsτοῖς ὄρεσινhe wasἦνcrying outκράζωνandκαὶcuttingκατακόπτωνhimselfἑαυτὸνwith stones.λίθοις
AndκαὶseeingἰδὼνJesusτὸν Ἰησοῦνfromἀπὸa distance,μακρόθενhe ranἔδραμενandκαὶbowed down beforeπροσεκύνησενhim;αὐτόν
andκαὶcrying outκράξαςwith a loudμεγάλῃvoice,φωνῇhe says,λέγει“WhatΤίhave I to doἐμοὶwithκαὶyou,σοίJesus,ἸησοῦSonυἱὲof the Most Highτοῦ ὑψίστουGod?τοῦ θεοῦI adjureὁρκίζωyouσεby God,τὸν θεόνdo notμήtormentβασανίσῃςme!”με
Forγὰρhe was sayingἔλεγενto him,αὐτῷ“Come outἜξελθεofἐκthe man,τοῦ ἀνθρώπουuncleanτὸ ἀκάθαρτονspirit!”τὸ πνεῦμα
Andκαὶhe was askingἐπηρώταhim,αὐτόν“WhatΤίis your name?”ὄνομά σοιAndκαὶhe saysλέγειto him,αὐτῷ“My nameὄνομά μοιis Legion,Λεγιὼνforὅτιwe areἐσμενmany.”πολλοί
Andκαὶhe was beggingπαρεκάλειhimαὐτὸνearnestlyπολλὰnotἵνα μὴto sendἀποστείλῃthemαὐτὰout ofἔξωthe region.τῆς χώρας
Nowδὲthere wasἦνthereἐκεῖonπρὸςthe mountainsideτῷ ὄρειa largeμεγάληherdἀγέληof pigsχοίρωνfeeding;βοσκομένη
andκαὶthey beggedπαρεκάλεσανhim,αὐτὸνsaying,λέγοντες“SendΠέμψονusἡμᾶςintoεἰςthe pigs,τοὺς χοίρουςso thatἵναwe may enterεἰσέλθωμενintoεἰςthem.”αὐτοὺς
Andκαὶhe gave them permission.ἐπέτρεψεν αὐτοῖςAndκαὶcoming out,ἐξελθόνταthe uncleanτὰ ἀκάθαρταspiritsτὰ πνεύματαenteredεἰσῆλθονintoεἰςthe pigs,τοὺς χοίρουςandκαὶthe herd,ἡ ἀγέληaboutὡςtwo thousand,δισχίλιοιrushedὥρμησενdownκατὰthe steep bankτοῦ κρημνοῦintoεἰςthe sea,τὴν θάλασσανandκαὶthey were drowningἐπνίγοντοinἐνthe sea.τῇ θαλάσσῃ
AndΚαὶthose whoοἱtendedβόσκοντεςthemαὐτοὺςfledἔφυγονandκαὶreported itἀπήγγειλανinεἰςthe townτὴν πόλινandκαὶinεἰςthe countryside;τοὺς ἀγρούςandκαὶpeople cameἦλθονto seeἰδεῖνwhatτίit wasἐστινthat had happened.τὸ γεγονός
Andκαὶthey comeἔρχονταιtoπρὸςJesusτὸν Ἰησοῦνandκαὶseeθεωροῦσινthe demon-possessed manτὸν δαιμονιζόμενονsitting,καθήμενονclothedἱματισμένονandκαὶin his right mind,σωφρονοῦνταthe one whoτὸνhad hadἐσχηκόταthe legion;τὸν λεγιῶναandκαὶthey were afraid.ἐφοβήθησαν
Andκαὶthose whoοἱhad seen itἰδόντεςdescribedδιηγήσαντοto themαὐτοῖςhowπῶςit had happenedἐγένετοto the demon-possessed man,τῷ δαιμονιζομένῳandκαὶaboutπερὶthe pigs.τῶν χοίρων
Andκαὶthey beganἤρξαντοto begπαρακαλεῖνhimαὐτὸνto go awayἀπελθεῖνfromἀπὸtheir region.τῶν ὁρίων αὐτῶν
Andκαὶas he was gettingἐμβαίνοντος αὐτοῦintoεἰςthe boat,τὸ πλοῖονthe man who had been demon-possessedὁ δαιμονισθεὶςbeggedπαρεκάλειhimαὐτὸνthatἵναhe might beᾖwithμετ’him.αὐτοῦ
Andκαὶhe did notοὐκletἀφῆκενhim,αὐτόνbutἀλλὰsaysλέγειto him,αὐτῷ“GoὝπαγεtoεἰςyour home,τὸν οἶκόν σουtoπρὸςyour own,τοὺς σούςandκαὶtellἀπάγγειλονthemαὐτοῖςhow muchὅσαthe Lordὁ κύριόςhas doneπεποίηκενfor youσοιandκαὶhad mercy onἠλέησένyou.”σε
Andκαὶhe went awayἀπῆλθενandκαὶbeganἤρξατοto proclaimκηρύσσεινinἐνthe Decapolisτῇ Δεκαπόλειhow muchὅσαJesusὁ Ἰησοῦςhad doneἐποίησενfor him;αὐτῷandκαὶeveryoneπάντεςwas amazed.ἐθαύμαζον
AndΚαὶwhen Jesusτοῦ Ἰησοῦhad crossed overδιαπεράσαντοςagainπάλινinἐνthe boatτῷ πλοίῳtoεἰςthe other side,τὸ πέρανa greatπολὺςcrowdὄχλοςgatheredσυνήχθηaroundἐπ’him;αὐτόνandκαὶhe wasἦνbesideπαρὰthe sea.τὴν θάλασσαν
Andκαὶoneεἷςof the synagogue leaders,τῶν ἀρχισυναγώγωνnamedὀνόματιJairus,Ἰάϊροςcomes,ἔρχεταιandκαὶseeingἰδὼνhim,αὐτὸνfallsπίπτειatπρὸςhis feetτοὺς πόδας αὐτοῦ
andκαὶbegsπαρακαλεῖhimαὐτὸνearnestly,πολλὰsaying,λέγων“My little daughterΤὸ θυγάτριόν μουisἔχειat the point of death;ἐσχάτωςcomeἐλθὼνand layἐπιθῇςyour handsτὰς χεῖραςon her,αὐτῇso thatἵναshe may be made wellσωθῇandκαὶlive.”ζήσῃ
Andκαὶhe went awayἀπῆλθενwithμετ’him.αὐτοῦAndΚαὶa largeπολύςcrowdὄχλοςwas followingἠκολούθειhimαὐτῷandκαὶpressing in onσυνέθλιβονhim.αὐτόν
Andκαὶa womanγυνὴwho had hadοὖσαa flowἐν ῥύσειof bloodαἵματοςfor twelveδώδεκαyears,ἔτη
andκαὶwho had sufferedπαθοῦσαmuchπολλὰunderὑπὸmanyπολλῶνdoctors,ἰατρῶνandκαὶhad spentδαπανήσασαallπάνταthat she had,τὰ παρ’ αὐτῆςandκαὶhad not been helpedὠφεληθεῖσαat all,μηδὲνbutἀλλὰratherμᾶλλονhad grownἐλθοῦσαworse,εἰς τὸ χεῖρον
having heardἀκούσασαaboutπερὶJesus,τοῦ Ἰησοῦcameἐλθοῦσαinἐνthe crowdτῷ ὄχλῳfrom behindὄπισθενand touchedἥψατοhis cloak;τοῦ ἱματίου αὐτοῦ
forγὰρshe was saying,ἔλεγεν“IfἘὰνI touchἅψωμαιevenκἂνhis garments,τῶν ἱματίων αὐτοῦI will be made well.”σωθήσομαι
Andκαὶat onceεὐθὺςthe sourceἡ πηγὴof her bleedingτοῦ αἵματος αὐτῆςdried up,ἐξηράνθηandκαὶshe knewἔγνωin her bodyτῷ σώματιthatὅτιshe was healedἴαταιofἀπὸthe affliction.τῆς μάστιγος
Andκαὶat onceεὐθὺςJesus,ὁ Ἰησοῦςperceivingἐπιγνοὺςinἐνhimselfἑαυτῷthat powerδύναμινhad gone outἐξελθοῦσανfromἐξhim,τὴν αὐτοῦturned aroundἐπιστραφεὶςinἐνthe crowdτῷ ὄχλῳand was saying,ἔλεγεν“WhoΤίςtouchedἥψατοmyμουgarments?”τῶν ἱματίων
Andκαὶhis disciplesοἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦwere sayingἔλεγονto him,αὐτῷ“You seeΒλέπειςthe crowdτὸν ὄχλονpressing in onσυνθλίβοντάyou,σεandκαὶyou say,λέγεις‘WhoΤίςtouchedἥψατοme?’”μου
Andκαὶhe was looking aroundπεριεβλέπετοto seeἰδεῖνthe woman whoτὴνhad doneποιήσασανthis.τοῦτο
Butδὲthe woman,ἡ γυνὴafraidφοβηθεῖσαandκαὶtrembling,τρέμουσαknowingεἰδυῖαwhatὃhad happenedγέγονενto her,αὐτῇcameἦλθενandκαὶfell down beforeπροσέπεσενhimαὐτῷandκαὶtoldεἶπενhimαὐτῷthe wholeπᾶσανtruth.τὴν ἀλήθειαν
Andδὲheὁsaidεἶπενto her,αὐτῇ“Daughter,Θυγάτηρyour faithἡ πίστις σουhas madeσέσωκένyouσεwell;σέσωκένgoὕπαγεinεἰςpeace,εἰρήνηνandκαὶbeἴσθιhealedὑγιὴςofἀπὸyour affliction.”τῆς μάστιγός σου
WhileἜτιhe was stillαὐτοῦspeaking,λαλοῦντοςpeople comeἔρχονταιfromἀπὸthe synagogue leader’s house,τοῦ ἀρχισυναγώγουsaying,λέγοντες“Your daughterἩ θυγάτηρ σουhas died;ἀπέθανενwhyτίtroubleσκύλλειςthe Teacherτὸν διδάσκαλονany further?”ἔτι
ButδὲJesus,ὁ Ἰησοῦςignoringπαρακούσαςthe wordτὸν λόγονbeing spoken,λαλούμενονsaysλέγειto the synagogue leader,τῷ ἀρχισυναγώγῳ“Do notΜὴbe afraid;φοβοῦonlyμόνονbelieve.”πίστευε
Andκαὶhe did notοὐκletἀφῆκενanyoneοὐδέναfollow alongσυνακολουθῆσαιwithμετ’himαὐτοῦexceptεἰ μὴPeterτὸν ΠέτρονandκαὶJamesἸάκωβονandκαὶJohnἸωάννηνthe brotherτὸν ἀδελφὸνof James.Ἰακώβου
Andκαὶthey comeἔρχονταιtoεἰςthe houseτὸν οἶκονof the synagogue leader,τοῦ ἀρχισυναγώγουandκαὶhe seesθεωρεῖa commotion,θόρυβονandκαὶpeople weepingκλαίονταςandκαὶwailingἀλαλάζονταςloudly.πολλά
Andκαὶgoing in,εἰσελθὼνhe saysλέγειto them,αὐτοῖς“WhyΤίare you making a commotionθορυβεῖσθεandκαὶweeping?κλαίετεThe childτὸ παιδίονhas notοὐκdied,ἀπέθανενbutἀλλὰis sleeping.”καθεύδει
Andκαὶthey were laughing atκατεγέλωνhim.αὐτοῦButδὲhe,αὐτὸςhaving putἐκβαλὼνthem allπάνταςout,ἐκβαλὼνtakes alongπαραλαμβάνειthe child’sτοῦ παιδίουfatherτὸν πατέραandκαὶmotherτὴν μητέραandκαὶthoseτοὺςwithμετ’him,αὐτοῦandκαὶgoes inεἰσπορεύεταιwhereὅπουthe childτὸ παιδίονwas.ἦν
Andκαὶtakingκρατήσαςthe child’sτοῦ παιδίουhand,τῆς χειρὸςhe saysλέγειto her,αὐτῇ“TalithaΤαλιθαkoum,”κουμwhichὅmeans,ἐστινtranslated,μεθερμηνευόμενον“Little girl,Τὸ κοράσιονI sayλέγωto you,σοὶget up.”ἔγειρε
Andκαὶat onceεὐθὺςthe girlτὸ κοράσιονgot upἀνέστηandκαὶwas walking;περιεπάτειforγὰρshe wasἦνtwelveδώδεκαyears old.ἐτῶνAndκαὶat onceεὐθὺςthey were overcomeἐξέστησανwith greatμεγάλῃamazement.ἐκστάσει
Andκαὶhe gaveδιεστείλατοthemαὐτοῖςstrict ordersπολλὰthatἵναno oneμηδεὶςshould knowγνοῖthis,τοῦτοandκαὶhe told themεἶπενto giveδοθῆναιherαὐτῇsomethingto eat.φαγεῖν
