Andδὲwhen a largeπολλοῦcrowdὄχλουwas gatheringΣυνιόντοςandκαὶthoseτῶνfrom town after townκατὰ πόλινwere comingἐπιπορευομένωνtoπρὸςhim,αὐτὸνhe spokeεἶπενby means ofδιὰa parable:παραβολῆς
“The sowerὁ σπείρωνwent outἘξῆλθενto sowτοῦ σπεῖραιhis seed;τὸν σπόρον αὐτοῦandκαὶasἐν τῷheαὐτὸνsowed,σπείρεινsomeὃfellἔπεσενalongπαρὰthe pathτὴν ὁδόνandκαὶwas trampled,κατεπατήθηandκαὶthe birdsτὰ πετεινὰof the skyτοῦ οὐρανοῦateκατέφαγενit up.αὐτό
Andκαὶother seedἕτερονfellκατέπεσενonἐπὶthe rock,τὴν πέτρανandκαὶwhen it had grown,φυὲνit witheredἐξηράνθηbecauseδιὰ τὸit hadἔχεινnoμὴmoisture.ἰκμάδα
Andκαὶother seedἕτερονfellἔπεσενamongἐν μέσῳthe thorns,τῶν ἀκανθῶνandκαὶthe thornsαἱ ἄκανθαιgrew up with itσυμφυεῖσαιand chokedἀπέπνιξανit.αὐτό
Andκαὶother seedἕτερονfellἔπεσενintoεἰςthe goodτὴν ἀγαθήνsoil,τὴν γῆνandκαὶwhen it had grown,φυὲνit producedἐποίησενfruitκαρπὸνa hundredfold.”ἑκατονταπλασίοναAs he saidλέγωνthese things,ταῦταhe called out,ἐφώνει“WhoeverὉhasἔχωνearsὦταto hear,ἀκούεινlet him hear.”ἀκουέτω

Andδὲheὁsaid,εἶπεν“To youὙμῖνit has been givenδέδοταιto knowγνῶναιthe mysteriesτὰ μυστήριαof the kingdomτῆς βασιλείαςof God,τοῦ θεοῦbutδὲto the restτοῖς λοιποῖςit isinἐνparables,παραβολαῖςso thatἵναseeingβλέποντεςthey may notμὴsee,βλέπωσινandκαὶhearingἀκούοντεςthey may notμὴunderstand.συνιῶσιν
NowδὲthisαὕτηisἜστινthe parable:ἡ παραβολήthe seedὉ σπόροςisἐστὶνthe wordὁ λόγοςof God.τοῦ θεοῦ
Andδὲthoseοἱalongπαρὰthe pathτὴν ὁδόνareεἰσινthe ones whoοἱhave heard;ἀκούσαντεςthenεἶταthe devilὁ διάβολοςcomesἔρχεταιandκαὶtakes awayαἴρειthe wordτὸν λόγονfromἀπὸtheir hearts,τῆς καρδίας αὐτῶνso thatἵναthey may notμὴbelieveπιστεύσαντεςand be saved.σωθῶσιν

Andδὲwhatτὸfellπεσόνamongεἰςthe thorns,τὰς ἀκάνθαςtheseοὗτοίareεἰσινthe ones whoοἱhave heard,ἀκούσαντεςandκαὶas they go on their wayπορευόμενοιthey are chokedσυμπνίγονταιbyὑπὸworriesμεριμνῶνandκαὶrichesπλούτουandκαὶpleasuresἡδονῶνof life,τοῦ βίουandκαὶthey do notοὐbring fruit to maturity.τελεσφοροῦσιν
Butδὲthatτὸinἐνthe goodκαλῇsoil,τῇ γῇtheseοὗτοίareεἰσινthe ones who,οἵτινεςhaving heardἀκούσαντεςthe wordτὸν λόγονwithἐνa nobleκαλῇandκαὶgoodἀγαθῇheart,καρδίᾳhold it fastκατέχουσινandκαὶbear fruitκαρποφοροῦσινwithἐνperseverance.ὑπομονῇ
Andδὲno oneΟὐδεὶςafter lightingἅψαςa lampλύχνονcoversκαλύπτειitαὐτὸνwith a jarσκεύειorἢputs itτίθησινunderὑποκάτωa bed,κλίνηςbutἀλλ’puts itτίθησινonἐπὶa lampstand,λυχνίαςso thatἵναthose whoοἱcome inεἰσπορευόμενοιmay seeβλέπωσινthe light.τὸ φῶς
Forγάρthere isἐστινnothingοὐhiddenκρυπτὸνthatὃwill notοὐbecomeγενήσεταιevident,φανερὸνnorοὐδὲanything secretἀπόκρυφονthatὃwill neverοὐ μὴbe knownγνωσθῇandκαὶcomeἔλθῃintoεἰςthe open.φανερὸν
Soοὖνtake careβλέπετεhowπῶςyou listen;ἀκούετεforγὰρwhoeverὃς ἂνhas,ἔχῃit will be givenδοθήσεταιto him;αὐτῷandκαὶwhoeverὃς ἂνdoes notμὴhave,ἔχῃevenκαὶwhatὃhe thinksδοκεῖhe hasἔχεινwill be taken awayἀρθήσεταιfromἀπ’him.”αὐτοῦ

Andδὲas theyαὐτῶνsailed,πλεόντωνhe fell asleep.ἀφύπνωσενAndκαὶa windstormλαῖλαψ ἀνέμουcame downκατέβηonεἰςthe lake,τὴν λίμνηνandκαὶthey were being swampedσυνεπληροῦντοandκαὶwere in danger.ἐκινδύνευον
Andδὲthey cameπροσελθόντεςand wokeδιήγειρανhim,αὐτὸνsaying,λέγοντες“Master,ἘπιστάταMaster,ἐπιστάταwe are perishing!”ἀπολλύμεθαAndδὲheὁwoke upδιεγερθεὶςand rebukedἐπετίμησενthe windτῷ ἀνέμῳandκαὶthe surgeτῷ κλύδωνιof the water;τοῦ ὕδατοςandκαὶthey ceased,ἐπαύσαντοandκαὶthere wasἐγένετοa calm.γαλήνη
Andδὲhe saidεἶπενto them,αὐτοῖς“WhereΠοῦis your faith?”ἡ πίστις ὑμῶνAndδὲbeing afraid,φοβηθέντεςthey marveled,ἐθαύμασανsayingλέγοντεςtoπρὸςone another,ἀλλήλους“WhoΤίςthenἄραisἐστινthis,οὗτόςthatὅτιhe commandsἐπιτάσσειevenκαὶthe windsτοῖς ἀνέμοιςandκαὶthe water,τῷ ὕδατιandκαὶthey obeyὑπακούουσινhim?”αὐτῷ
AndΚαὶthey sailed downκατέπλευσανtoεἰςthe regionτὴν χώρανof the Gerasenes,τῶν ΓερασηνῶνwhichἥτιςisἐστὶνoppositeἀντιπέραGalilee.τῆς Γαλιλαίας
Andδὲwhen heαὐτῷstepped outἐξελθόντιontoἐπὶthe land,τὴν γῆνa certainτιςmanἀνήρfromἐκthe townτῆς πόλεωςwho hadἔχωνdemonsδαιμόνιαmet him;ὑπήντησενandκαὶfor a longἱκανῷtimeχρόνῳhe had notοὐκwornἐνεδύσατοclothing,ἱμάτιονandκαὶhe was notοὐκlivingἔμενενinἐνa houseοἰκίᾳbutἀλλ’inἐνthe tombs.τοῖς μνήμασιν
Andδὲwhen he sawἰδὼνJesus,τὸν Ἰησοῦνhe cried out,ἀνακράξαςfell down beforeπροσέπεσενhim,αὐτῷandκαὶsaidεἶπενwith a loudμεγάλῃvoice,φωνῇ“WhatΤίhave I to doἐμοὶwithκαὶyou,σοίJesus,ἸησοῦSonυἱὲof the Most Highτοῦ ὑψίστουGod?τοῦ θεοῦI begδέομαίyou,σουdo notμήtormentβασανίσῃςme.”με
Forγὰρhe was commandingπαρήγγελλενthe uncleanτῷ τῷ ἀκαθάρτῳspiritπνεύματιto come outἐξελθεῖνofἀπὸthe man.τοῦ ἀνθρώπουForγὰρmanyπολλοῖςtimesχρόνοιςit had seizedσυνηρπάκειhim,αὐτόνandκαὶhe was boundἐδεσμεύετοwith chainsἁλύσεσινandκαὶshacklesπέδαιςand kept under guard,φυλασσόμενοςandκαὶbreakingδιαρρήσσωνthe bondsτὰ δεσμὰhe was drivenἠλαύνετοbyὑπὸthe demonτοῦ δαιμονίουintoεἰςthe deserted places.τὰς ἐρήμους
AndδὲJesusὁ Ἰησοῦςaskedἐπηρώτησενhim,αὐτὸν“WhatΤίisἐστινyourσοιname?”ὄνομάAndδὲheὁsaid,εἶπεν“Legion,”Λεγιώνbecauseὅτιmanyπολλὰdemonsδαιμόνιαhad enteredεἰσῆλθενintoεἰςhim.αὐτόν
Andκαὶthey were beggingπαρεκάλουνhimαὐτὸνnotἵνα μὴto orderἐπιτάξῃthemαὐτοῖςto go awayἀπελθεῖνintoεἰςthe abyss.τὴν ἄβυσσον
Nowδὲthere wasἮνthereἐκεῖa herdἀγέληof manyἱκανῶνpigsχοίρωνfeedingβοσκομένηonἐνthe hillside;τῷ ὄρειandκαὶthey beggedπαρεκάλεσανhimαὐτὸνtoἵναpermitἐπιτρέψῃthemαὐτοῖςto enterεἰσελθεῖνintoεἰςthem;ἐκείνουςandκαὶhe permittedἐπέτρεψενthem.αὐτοῖς
Andδὲcoming outἐξελθόνταofἀπὸthe man,τοῦ ἀνθρώπουthe demonsτὰ δαιμόνιαenteredεἰσῆλθονintoεἰςthe pigs,τοὺς χοίρουςandκαὶthe herdἡ ἀγέληrushedὥρμησενdownκατὰthe steep bankτοῦ κρημνοῦintoεἰςthe lakeτὴν λίμνηνandκαὶwas drowned.ἀπεπνίγη
Andδὲwhen those whoοἱwere tending themβόσκοντεςsawἸδόντεςwhatτὸhad happened,γεγονὸςthey fledἔφυγονandκαὶreported itἀπήγγειλανinεἰςthe townτὴν πόλινandκαὶinεἰςthe countryside.τοὺς ἀγρούς
Andδὲthey went outἐξῆλθονto seeἰδεῖνwhatτὸhad happened,γεγονὸςandκαὶthey cameἦλθονtoπρὸςJesusτὸν Ἰησοῦνandκαὶfoundεὗρονthe manτὸν ἄνθρωπονfromἀφ’whomοὗthe demonsτὰ δαιμόνιαhad gone out,ἐξῆλθενsittingκαθήμενονatπαρὰthe feetτοὺς πόδαςof Jesus,τοῦ Ἰησοῦclothedἱματισμένονandκαὶin his right mind;σωφρονοῦνταandκαὶthey were afraid.ἐφοβήθησαν
Andδὲthose who had seen itοἱ ἰδόντεςreportedἀπήγγειλανto themαὐτοῖςhowπῶςthe man who had been possessed by demonsὁ δαιμονισθείςhad been healed.ἐσώθη
Andκαὶallἅπανthe peopleτὸ πλῆθοςof the surrounding regionτῆς περιχώρουof the Gerasenesτῶν Γερασηνῶνaskedἠρώτησενhimαὐτὸνto go awayἀπελθεῖνfromἀπ’them,αὐτῶνbecauseὅτιthey were grippedσυνείχοντοwith greatμεγάλῳfear.φόβῳSoδὲheαὐτὸςgotἐμβὰςintoεἰςa boatπλοῖονand returned.ὑπέστρεψεν

“ReturnὙπόστρεφεtoεἰςyour home,τὸν οἶκόν σουandκαὶtellδιηγοῦall thatὅσαGodὁ θεόςhas doneἐποίησενfor you.”σοιAndκαὶhe went away,ἀπῆλθενproclaimingκηρύσσωνthroughoutκαθ’the wholeὅληνtownτὴν πόλινall thatὅσαJesusὁ Ἰησοῦςhad doneἐποίησενfor him.αὐτῷ
NowδὲwhenἘνJesusτὸν Ἰησοῦνreturned,τῷ ὑποστρέφεινthe crowdὁ ὄχλοςwelcomedἀπεδέξατοhim,αὐτὸνforγὰρthey wereἦσανallπάντεςwaiting forπροσδοκῶντεςhim.αὐτόν

becauseὅτιhe hadἦν αὐτῷan onlyμονογενὴςdaughter,θυγάτηρaboutὡςtwelveδώδεκαyears old,ἐτῶνandκαὶsheαὐτὴwas dying.ἀπέθνῃσκενAndδὲasἘν τῷheαὐτὸνwent,ὑπάγεινthe crowdsοἱ ὄχλοιwere crushingσυνέπνιγονhim.αὐτόν
Andκαὶa womanγυνὴwho hadοὖσαa flowἐν ῥύσειof bloodαἵματοςforἀπὸtwelveδώδεκαyears,ἐτῶνwhoἥτιςhad spentπροσαναλώσασαallὅλονher livingτὸν βίονon doctorsἰατροῖςand could notοὐκ ἴσχυσενbe healedθεραπευθῆναιbyἀπ’anyone,οὐδενὸς
came upπροσελθοῦσαbehind himὄπισθενand touchedἥψατοthe fringeτοῦ κρασπέδουof his cloak,τοῦ ἱματίου αὐτοῦandκαὶimmediatelyπαραχρῆμαher flowἡ ῥύσις αὐτῆςof bloodτοῦ αἵματοςstopped.ἔστη
AndκαὶJesusὁ Ἰησοῦςsaid,εἶπεν“WhoΤίςis the one who touchedὁ ἁψάμενόςme?”μουAnd whenδὲallπάντωνwere denying it,ἀρνουμένωνPeterὁ Πέτροςsaid,εἶπεν“Master,Ἐπιστάταthe crowdsοἱ ὄχλοιare surroundingσυνέχουσίνyouσεandκαὶpressing against you.”ἀποθλίβουσιν
ButδὲJesusὁ Ἰησοῦςsaid,εἶπεν“SomeoneτιςtouchedἭψατόme,μούforγὰρIἐγὼperceivedἔγνωνthat powerδύναμινhad gone outἐξεληλυθυῖανfromἀπ’me.”ἐμοῦ
Andδὲwhen the womanἡ γυνὴsawἰδοῦσαthatὅτιshe had notοὐκescaped notice,ἔλαθενshe cameἦλθενtrembling,τρέμουσαandκαὶfalling down beforeπροσπεσοῦσαhim,αὐτῷshe declaredἀπήγγειλενin the presence ofἐνώπιονallπαντὸςthe peopleτοῦ λαοῦforδι’whatἣνreasonαἰτίανshe had touchedἥψατοhim,αὐτοῦandκαὶhowὡςshe had been healedἰάθηimmediately.παραχρῆμα
Andδὲheὁsaidεἶπενto her,αὐτῇ“Daughter,Θυγάτηρyour faithἡ πίστις σουhas madeσέσωκένyouσεwell;σέσωκένgoπορεύουinεἰςpeace.”εἰρήνην
Heαὐτοῦwas stillἜτιspeakingλαλοῦντοςwhen someoneτιςcomesἔρχεταίfromπαρὰthe synagogue leader’s house,τοῦ ἀρχισυναγώγουsaying,λέγων“Your daughterἡ θυγάτηρ σουhas died;Τέθνηκενdo notμηκέτιtroubleσκύλλεthe Teacherτὸν διδάσκαλονany longer.”μηκέτι
ButδὲJesus,ὁ Ἰησοῦςhearing this,ἀκούσαςansweredἀπεκρίθηhim,αὐτῷ“Do notΜὴbe afraid;φοβοῦonlyμόνονbelieve,πίστευσονandκαὶshe will be made well.”σωθήσεται

Andκαὶher spiritτὸ πνεῦμα αὐτῆςreturned,ἐπέστρεψενandκαὶshe got upἀνέστηimmediately;παραχρῆμαandκαὶhe directedδιέταξενthat something be givenδοθῆναιherαὐτῇto eat.φαγεῖν
