Mark 9:14-29

14And when they came to the disciples, they saw a large crowd around them, and scribes arguing with them. 15And at once all the crowd, seeing him, were greatly amazed, and running up, they were greeting him. 16And he asked them, “What are you arguing about with them?” 17And one of the crowd answered him, “Teacher, I brought my son to you, who has a mute spirit; 18and wherever it seizes him, it throws him down, and he foams and grinds his teeth and becomes rigid; and I told your disciples to drive it out, and they were not strong enough.” 19And he answered them and says, “O unbelieving generation, how long will I be with you? How long will I put up with you? Bring him to me.” 20And they brought him to him. And when the spirit saw him, at once it convulsed the boy, and falling on the ground he was rolling about, foaming. 21And he asked his father, “How long is it since this has been happening to him?” And he said, “From childhood; 22and often it has thrown him both into fire and into water to destroy him. But if you can do anything, have compassion on us and help us!” 23And Jesus said to him, “‘If you can’! All things are possible for the one who believes.” 24At once the father of the child cried out and was saying, “I believe; help my unbelief!” 25And when Jesus saw that a crowd was running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “Mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him and never again enter into him!” 26And crying out and convulsing him terribly, it came out; and he became like a corpse, so that most were saying that he had died. 27But Jesus, taking him by the hand, raised him, and he stood up. 28And when he had gone into the house, his disciples were asking him privately, “Why could we not drive it out?” 29And he said to them, “This kind cannot come out by anything but by prayer.”

Matthew 17:14-21

14And when they came to the crowd, a man came to him, kneeling before him 15and saying, “Lord, have mercy on my son, because he is moonstruck and suffers terribly; for often he falls into the fire and often into the water. 16And I brought him to your disciples, and they could not heal him.” 17And Jesus answered and said, “O unbelieving and perverted generation, how long will I be with you? How long will I put up with you? Bring him here to me.” 18And Jesus rebuked him, and the demon came out of him, and the boy was healed from that hour. 19Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” 20And he says to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly I tell you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” 21But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.

Luke 9:37-43

37And it happened on the next day, when they had come down from the mountain, that a large crowd met him. 38And look, a man from the crowd cried out, saying, “Teacher, I beg you to look at my son, because he is my only child. 39And look, a spirit seizes him, and suddenly he cries out, and it convulses him with foam, and it scarcely leaves him, battering him. 40And I begged your disciples to cast it out, and they could not.” 41And Jesus answered and said, “O unbelieving and perverse generation, how long will I be with you and put up with you? Bring your son here.” 42And while he was still coming, the demon threw him down and convulsed him violently. But Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit and healed the boy and gave him back to his father. 43And all were astonished at the majesty of God. But while all were marveling at all that he was doing, he said to his disciples,
