Colossians 3:12–13
Paul invites us to put on gentleness and patience and to forgive as the Lord forgave
Study it word by word12So put on, as chosen ones of God, holy and beloved, compassionate affection, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience,
13bearing with one another and forgiving each other if anyone has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord also forgave you, so also you must forgive.
In its context
10and have put on the new man, which is being renewed for knowledge according to the image of the one who created it,
11where there is no Greek or Jew, circumcision or uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free, but the Messiah is all and in all.
…
14And above all these things put on love, which is the bond of completeness.
15And let the peace of the Messiah rule in your hearts, to which you were also called in one body; and be thankful.
