Matthew 24:29–31
Jesus describes his appearing with the sound of a trumpet and his chosen gathered
Study it word by word29And at once after the affliction of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
30And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31And he will send out his angels with a great trumpet, and they will gather together his chosen from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.
In its context
27For just as the lightning comes out from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
28Wherever the carcass is, there the vultures will gather.

32Now from the fig tree learn the parable: when its branch has already become tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near.
33So you also, when you see all these things, know that he is near, at the doors.
