AndΚαὶJesusὁ Ἰησοῦςwent outἐξελθὼνfromἀπὸthe templeτοῦ ἱεροῦand was going away,ἐπορεύετοandκαὶhis disciplesοἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦcame upπροσῆλθονto point outἐπιδεῖξαιto himαὐτῷthe buildingsτὰς οἰκοδομὰςof the temple.τοῦ ἱεροῦ

Butδὲheὁansweredἀποκριθεὶςthem,αὐτοῖς“Do you notΟὐseeβλέπετεallπάνταthese things?ταῦταTrulyἀμὴνI tellλέγωyou,ὑμῖνthere will neverοὐ μὴbe leftἀφεθῇhereὧδεone stoneλίθοςuponἐπὶanotherλίθονthatὃςwill notοὐbe torn down.”καταλυθήσεται

Andδὲas heαὐτοῦwas sittingΚαθημένουonἐπὶthe Mountτοῦ Ὄρουςof Olives,τῶν Ἐλαιῶνthe disciplesοἱ μαθηταὶcameπροσῆλθονto himαὐτῷprivately,κατ’ ἰδίανsaying,λέγοντες“TellΕἰπὸνus,ἡμῖνwhenπότεwillἔσταιthese thingsταῦταbe,ἔσταιandκαὶwhatτίwill bethe signτὸ σημεῖονof yourτῆς σῆςcomingπαρουσίαςandκαὶof the endσυντελείαςof the age?”τοῦ αἰῶνος

AndκαὶJesusὁ Ἰησοῦςansweredἀποκριθεὶςthem,αὐτοῖς“See to itΒλέπετεthat noμήoneτιςleadsπλανήσῃyouὑμᾶςastray.πλανήσῃ

Forγὰρmanyπολλοὶwill comeἐλεύσονταιinἐπὶmy name,τῷ ὀνόματί μουsaying,λέγοντες‘IἘγώamεἰμιthe Messiah,’ὁ χριστόςandκαὶthey will leadπλανήσουσινmanyπολλοὺςastray.πλανήσουσιν

Andδὲyou willμελλήσετεhearἀκούεινof warsπολέμουςandκαὶreportsἀκοὰςof wars.πολέμωνSee thatὁρᾶτεyou are notμὴalarmed,θροεῖσθεforγὰρit mustδεῖhappen,γενέσθαιbutἀλλ’the endτὸ τέλοςisἐστὶνnot yet.οὔπω

Forγὰρnationἔθνοςwill riseἐγερθήσεταιagainstἐπὶnation,ἔθνοςandκαὶkingdomβασιλείαagainstἐπὶkingdom,βασιλείανandκαὶthere will beἔσονταιfaminesλιμοὶandκαὶearthquakesσεισμοὶin various places.κατὰ τόπους

Butδὲallπάνταthese thingsταῦταare thebeginningἀρχὴof birth pains.ὠδίνων

ThenΤότεthey will handπαραδώσουσινyouὑμᾶςoverπαραδώσουσινtoεἰςafflictionθλῖψινandκαὶwill killἀποκτενοῦσινyou,ὑμᾶςandκαὶyou will beἔσεσθεhatedμισούμενοιbyὑπὸallπάντωνthe nationsτῶν ἐθνῶνbecause ofδιὰmy name.τὸ ὄνομά μου

Andκαὶthenτότεmanyπολλοὶwill fall away,σκανδαλισθήσονταιandκαὶthey will handπαραδώσουσινone anotherἀλλήλουςoverπαραδώσουσινandκαὶhateμισήσουσινone another.ἀλλήλους

Andκαὶmanyπολλοὶfalse prophetsψευδοπροφῆταιwill riseἐγερθήσονταιandκαὶleadπλανήσουσινmanyπολλούςastray.πλανήσουσιν

Andκαὶbecauseδιὰ τὸlawlessnessτὴν ἀνομίανwill have increased,πληθυνθῆναιthe loveἡ ἀγάπηof manyτῶν πολλῶνwill grow cold.ψυγήσεται

Butδὲthe one who enduresὁ ὑπομείναςtoεἰςthe end,τέλοςthis oneοὗτοςwill be saved.σωθήσεται

Andκαὶthisτοῦτοgood newsτὸ εὐαγγέλιονof the kingdomτῆς βασιλείαςwill be proclaimedκηρυχθήσεταιinἐνthe wholeὅλῃinhabited worldτῇ οἰκουμένῃasεἰςa testimonyμαρτύριονto allπᾶσινthe nations,τοῖς ἔθνεσινandκαὶthenτότεthe endτὸ τέλοςwill come.ἥξει

SoοὖνwhenὍτανyou seeἴδητεthe abominationτὸ βδέλυγμαof desolationτῆς ἐρημώσεωςspoken ofτὸ ῥηθὲνthroughδιὰDanielΔανιὴλthe prophetτοῦ προφήτουstandingἑστὸςinἐνa holyἁγίῳplaceτόπῳ(let the readerὁ ἀναγινώσκωνunderstand),νοείτω1

thenτότεlet thoseοἱinἐνJudeaτῇ Ἰουδαίᾳfleeφευγέτωσανtoἐπὶthe mountains;τὰ ὄρη

let the oneὁonἐπὶthe housetopτοῦ δώματοςnotμὴcome downκαταβάτωto takeἆραιthe thingsτὰout ofἐκhis house;τῆς οἰκίας αὐτοῦ

andκαὶlet the oneὁinἐνthe fieldτῷ ἀγρῷnotμὴturnἐπιστρεψάτωbackὀπίσωto takeἆραιhis cloak.τὸ ἱμάτιον αὐτοῦ

Andδὲwoeοὐαὶto thoseταῖςwho areἐνpregnantγαστρὶ ἐχούσαιςandκαὶto thoseταῖςwho are nursingθηλαζούσαιςinἐνthoseἐκείναιςdays!ταῖς ἡμέραις

Andδὲprayπροσεύχεσθεthatἵναyour flightἡ φυγὴ ὑμῶνmay notμὴhappenγένηταιin winterχειμῶνοςorμηδὲon a Sabbath.σαββάτῳ

Forγὰρthenτότεthere will beἔσταιgreatμεγάληaffliction,θλῖψιςsuch asοἵαhas notοὐhappenedγέγονενfromἀπ’the beginningἀρχῆςof the worldκόσμουuntilἕωςnow,τοῦ νῦνandοὐδ’neverοὐ μὴwill.γένηται

Andκαὶifεἰthoseἐκεῖναιdaysαἱ ἡμέραιhad notμὴbeen cut short,ἐκολοβώθησανnoοὐκ πᾶσαfleshσάρξwould have been saved;ἂν ἐσώθηbutδὲfor the sake ofδιὰthe chosenτοὺς ἐκλεκτοὺςthoseἐκεῖναιdaysαἱ ἡμέραιwill be cut short.κολοβωθήσονται

Then,τότεifἐάνanyoneτιςsaysεἴπῃto you,ὑμῖν‘Look,Ἰδοὺhere isὧδεthe Messiah,’ὁ χριστόςorἤ‘Here he is,’Ὧδεdo notμὴbelieve it.πιστεύσητε

Forγὰρfalse messiahsψευδόχριστοιandκαὶfalse prophetsψευδοπροφῆταιwill riseἐγερθήσονταιandκαὶwill performδώσουσινgreatμεγάλαsignsσημεῖαandκαὶwonders,τέραταso asὥστεto lead astray,πλανῆσαιifεἰpossible,δυνατὸνevenκαὶthe chosen.τοὺς ἐκλεκτούς

Look,ἰδοὺI have told you beforehand.προείρηκα ὑμῖν

Soοὖνifἐὰνthey sayεἴπωσινto you,ὑμῖν‘Look,Ἰδοὺhe isἐστίνinἐνthe wilderness,’τῇ ἐρήμῳdo notμὴgo out;ἐξέλθητε‘Look,Ἰδοὺhe isinἐνthe inner rooms,’τοῖς ταμείοιςdo notμὴbelieve it.πιστεύσητε

Forγὰρjust asὥσπερthe lightningἡ ἀστραπὴcomes outἐξέρχεταιfromἀπὸthe eastἀνατολῶνandκαὶshinesφαίνεταιas far asἕωςthe west,δυσμῶνsoοὕτωςwill beἔσταιthe comingἡ παρουσίαof the Sonτοῦ υἱοῦof Man.τοῦ ἀνθρώπου

Whereverὅπου ἐὰνthe carcassτὸ πτῶμαis,ᾖthereἐκεῖthe vulturesοἱ ἀετοίwill gather.συναχθήσονται

Andδὲat onceΕὐθέωςafterμετὰthe afflictionτὴν θλῖψινof thoseἐκείνωνdaysτῶν ἡμερῶνthe sunὁ ἥλιοςwill be darkened,σκοτισθήσεταιandκαὶthe moonἡ σελήνηwill notοὐgiveδώσειits light,τὸ φέγγος αὐτῆςandκαὶthe starsοἱ ἀστέρεςwill fallπεσοῦνταιfromἀπὸheaven,τοῦ οὐρανοῦandκαὶthe powersαἱ δυνάμειςof the heavensτῶν οὐρανῶνwill be shaken.σαλευθήσονται1

Andκαὶthenτότεthe signτὸ σημεῖονof the Sonτοῦ υἱοῦof Manτοῦ ἀνθρώπουwill appearφανήσεταιinἐνheaven,τῷ οὐρανῷandκαὶthenτότεallπᾶσαιthe tribesαἱ φυλαὶof the earthτῆς γῆςwill mourn,κόψονταιandκαὶthey will seeὄψονταιthe Sonτὸν υἱὸνof Manτοῦ ἀνθρώπουcomingἐρχόμενονonἐπὶthe cloudsτῶν νεφελῶνof heavenτοῦ οὐρανοῦwithμετὰpowerδυνάμεωςandκαὶgreatπολλῆςglory.δόξης1

Andκαὶhe will send outἀποστελεῖhis angelsτοὺς ἀγγέλους αὐτοῦwithμετὰa greatμεγάληςtrumpet,σάλπιγγοςandκαὶthey will gather togetherἐπισυνάξουσινhis chosenτοὺς ἐκλεκτοὺς αὐτοῦfromἐκthe fourτῶν τεσσάρωνwinds,ἀνέμωνfromἀπ’one endἄκρωνof the heavensοὐρανῶνtoἕωςthe other.τῶν ἄκρων αὐτῶν

NowδὲfromἈπὸthe fig treeτῆς συκῆςlearnμάθετεthe parable:τὴν παραβολήνwhenὅτανitsαὐτῆςbranchὁ κλάδοςhas alreadyἤδηbecomeγένηταιtenderἁπαλὸςandκαὶputs outἐκφύῃits leaves,τὰ φύλλαyou knowγινώσκετεthatὅτιsummerτὸ θέροςisnear.ἐγγὺς

Soοὕτωςyouὑμεῖςalso,καὶwhenὅτανyou seeἴδητεallπάνταthese things,ταῦταknowγινώσκετεthatὅτιhe isἐστινnear,ἐγγύςatἐπὶthe doors.θύραις

TrulyἀμὴνI tellλέγωyou,ὑμῖνthisαὕτηgenerationἡ γενεὰwill neverοὐ μὴpass awayπαρέλθῃuntilἕως ἂνallπάνταthese thingsταῦταhappen.γένηται

Heavenὁ οὐρανὸςandκαὶearthἡ γῆwill pass away,παρελεύσεταιbutδὲmy wordsοἱ λόγοι μουwill neverοὐ μὴpass away.παρέλθωσιν

ButδὲconcerningΠερὶthatἐκείνηςdayτῆς ἡμέραςandκαὶhourὥραςno oneοὐδεὶςknows,οἶδενnot evenοὐδὲthe angelsοἱ ἄγγελοιof heaven,τῶν οὐρανῶνnorοὐδὲthe Son,ὁ υἱόςexceptεἰ μὴthe Fatherὁ πατὴρalone.μόνος

Forγὰρjust asὥσπερthe daysαἱ ἡμέραιof Noahτοῦ Νῶεwere,soοὕτωςwill beἔσταιthe comingἡ παρουσίαof the Sonτοῦ υἱοῦof Man.τοῦ ἀνθρώπου

Forγὰρasὡςinἐνthe daysταῖς ἡμέραιςbeforeταῖς πρὸthe floodτοῦ κατακλυσμοῦthey wereἦσανeatingτρώγοντεςandκαὶdrinking,πίνοντεςmarryingγαμοῦντεςandκαὶgiving in marriage,γαμίζοντεςuntilἄχρι ἧςthe dayἡμέραςNoahΝῶεwentεἰσῆλθενintoεἰςthe ark,τὴν κιβωτόν1

andκαὶthey did notοὐκknowἔγνωσανuntilἕωςthe floodὁ κατακλυσμὸςcameἦλθενandκαὶsweptἦρενthem allἅπανταςaway,ἦρενsoοὕτωςwill beἔσταιalsoκαὶthe comingἡ παρουσίαof the Sonτοῦ υἱοῦof Man.τοῦ ἀνθρώπου

Thenτότεtwoδύοwill beἔσονταιinἐνthe field;τῷ ἀγρῷoneεἷςis takenπαραλαμβάνεταιandκαὶoneεἷςis left.ἀφίεται

Twoδύοwomengrindingἀλήθουσαιatἐνthe mill;τῷ μύλῳoneμίαis takenπαραλαμβάνεταιandκαὶoneμίαis left.ἀφίεται

Soοὖνkeep watch,γρηγορεῖτεbecauseὅτιyou do notοὐκknowοἴδατεon whatποίᾳdayἡμέρᾳyour Lordὁ κύριος ὑμῶνis coming.ἔρχεται

Butδὲknowγινώσκετεthis,ἐκεῖνοthatὅτιifεἰthe master of the houseὁ οἰκοδεσπότηςhad knownᾔδειin whatποίᾳwatch of the nightφυλακῇthe thiefὁ κλέπτηςwas coming,ἔρχεταιhe would haveἂνkept watchἐγρηγόρησενandκαὶwould notοὐκ ἂνhave letεἴασενhis houseτὴν οἰκίαν αὐτοῦbe broken into.διορυχθῆναι

Because ofδιὰthisτοῦτοyouὑμεῖςalsoκαὶmust beγίνεσθεready,ἕτοιμοιbecauseὅτιat an hourᾗ ὥρᾳyou do notοὐexpectδοκεῖτεthe Sonὁ υἱὸςof Manτοῦ ἀνθρώπουis coming.ἔρχεται

Who,Τίςthen,ἄραisἐστὶνthe faithfulὁ πιστὸςandκαὶwiseφρόνιμοςslaveδοῦλοςwhomὃνthe masterὁ κύριοςhas put in chargeκατέστησενofἐπὶhis householdτῆς οἰκετείας αὐτοῦto giveτοῦ δοῦναιthemαὐτοῖςtheir foodτὴν τροφὴνatἐνthe proper time?καιρῷ

Happy isμακάριοςthatἐκεῖνοςslaveὁ δοῦλοςwhomὃνhis masterὁ κύριος αὐτοῦwill findεὑρήσειdoing soοὕτως ποιοῦνταwhen he comes.ἐλθὼν

TrulyἀμὴνI tellλέγωyou,ὑμῖνhe will putκαταστήσειhimαὐτόνin charge ofἐπὶallπᾶσινhis possessions.τοῖς ὑπάρχουσιν αὐτοῦ

Butδὲifἐὰνthatἐκεῖνοςwickedκακὸςslaveὁ δοῦλοςsaysεἴπῃinἐνhis heart,τῇ καρδίᾳ αὐτοῦ‘My masterμου ὁ κύριοςis delayed,’Χρονίζει

andκαὶbeginsἄρξηταιto beatτύπτεινhis fellow slaves,τοὺς συνδούλους αὐτοῦandδὲeatsἐσθίῃandκαὶdrinksπίνῃwithμετὰthe drunkards,τῶν μεθυόντων

the masterὁ κύριοςof thatἐκείνουslaveτοῦ δούλουwill comeἥξειonἐνa dayἡμέρᾳwhenᾗhe does notοὐexpect himπροσδοκᾷandκαὶatἐνan hourὥρᾳthatᾗhe does notοὐknow,γινώσκει

andκαὶwill cutδιχοτομήσειhimαὐτὸνin twoδιχοτομήσειandκαὶassignθήσειhimαὐτοῦhis placeτὸ μέροςwithμετὰthe hypocrites;τῶν ὑποκριτῶνthereἐκεῖwill beἔσταιweepingὁ κλαυθμὸςandκαὶgnashingὁ βρυγμὸςof teeth.τῶν ὀδόντων
