Falsehoodשָׁוְאeach oneאִישׁspeaksיְדַבְּרוּwith his neighbor;אֶת רֵעֵהוּwith flatteringחֲלָקוֹתlips,שְׂפַתwith a double heartבְּלֵב וָלֵבthey speak.יְדַבֵּרוּ
May YHWHיְהוָהcut offיַכְרֵתallכָּלflatteringחֲלָקוֹתlips,שִׂפְתֵיthe tongueלָשׁוֹןthat speaksמְדַבֶּרֶתgreat things,גְּדֹלוֹת
those whoאֲשֶׁרsay,אָמְרוּ“With our tongueלִלְשֹׁנֵנוּwe will prevail;נַגְבִּירour lipsשְׂפָתֵינוּare with us:אִתָּנוּwhoמִיis lordאָדוֹןover us?”לָנוּ
“Because of the devastationמִשֹּׁדof the afflicted,עֲנִיִּיםbecause of the groaningמֵאַנְקַתof the needy,אֶבְיוֹנִיםnowעַתָּהI will arise,”אָקוּםsaysיֹאמַרYHWH;יְהוָה“I will setאָשִׁיתin safetyבְּיֵשַׁעthe one they snort at.”יָפִיחַ לוֹ
The sayingsאִמֲרוֹתof YHWHיְהוָהare pureטְהֹרוֹתsayings,אֲמָרוֹתsilverכֶּסֶףrefinedצָרוּףin a crucibleבַּעֲלִילof earth,לָאָרֶץpurifiedמְזֻקָּקseven times.שִׁבְעָתָיִם
You,אַתָּהYHWH,יְהוָהwill keep them;תִּשְׁמְרֵםyou will guard himתִּצְּרֶנּוּfrom this generationמִן הַדּוֹר זוּforever.לְעוֹלָם
All aroundסָבִיבthe wickedרְשָׁעִיםwalk about,יִתְהַלָּכוּןwhen vilenessזֻלּוּתis exaltedכְּרֻםamong human beings.לִבְנֵי אָדָם
