Translation note
“The salvations of his face”: the salvation that comes from his presence. This refrain is repeated in 42:11 and 43:5, where it says “the salvations of my face and my Elohim”; in the Hebrew the difference is a single letter and the place where the verse is divided. Here each one is translated as it is written.
The context
4These things I remember, and I pour out within me my soul: how I would pass along with the throng; I would walk with them to the house of Elohim, with the voice of shouts of joy and thanksgiving, a multitude keeping festival.
5 · This verse (above)
6My Elohim, within me my soul is cast down; therefore I remember you from the land of the Jordan and of the Hermons, from Mount Mizar.
